I am curious if you write the first 11 clues, then just randomly toss the puck out in como and count the paces back to where you parked?
Last year, did you actually think the raccoon would make it all the way from Como to Phalen before he died? My money would have been that he got squished crossing Lexington.

From what we understand, parking is free on Sundays - though we have not been able to independently verify this.
As far as parking goes, here's the lowdown. Meters on-campus are free on Sundays when there are no events. Men's basketball will be on campus on Saturday (3:30 PM start), and event rates go from 1:30 to 4 PM at Oak St., 4th St., University Ave., Washington Ave., and Church Street garages. Otherwise, it is usually $5 max for the first 24 hours you are in the ramp. For more info go to
OMG, I have never seen such a convoluted parking system. Personally I think it's fairly unconscionable that they charge for parking at all. These are college students we're talking about and they're being charged downtown rates. Unfortunately I suspect the parking situation might hurt ticket sales for the movie when you have to add in another $5 to your ticket price to park.
I also posted this over in the "No Time for Cold Feet" forum.
Perhaps the reason your Saturday scrennings were moved out of Bell was because the Admissions Office called and said they needed it for their Saturday session. When there are a lot of prospective students coming for tours, we need to book Bell, because we can't fit into the Williamson auditorium.Â
However, usually Admissions is out of there by 11:10-11:15, so I would think a noon screening would be no problem.

It shouldn't matter who needs the space. If NAHF paid for the space and signed a contract then the Admissions Office needs to be the ones finding a space to use, not NAHF. The Bell knows the deal with this movie. Just like any other film marker who might want to show something there. This is two weeks before the date and they are trying to change things. Knowing full well that press releases have been sent and ads paid for.
I just figured out where I'm going to hide my Mock Hunt Treasure and it looks like the idea I had for how to write the clues is going to work! I just finished up making an outline out of the clues. I think this will prove to be the most exciting Mock Hunt to date, so be ready for it! Now I just have to hope the PP doesn't use my hiding spot (wouldn't be too surprised if they did as it's a good one).
Hey Reg - Did ya notice the absence of the annual Ice Bowl during the carnival this year? Maybe those scam artists finally had their fill of people boycotting their little tournament that filled their pockets.
When I saw that "Ask a Clue Writer" bit on the PP website this afternoon, I called Carolyn R. to inquire more about it. The PP has put such pressure on us not to put anything in the film about the Clue Writers, and we've agreed to hold it off until the DVD extras. We had always planned to do this anyway because the secrecy of the clue writer is intriguing and a great part of the hunt. Of course, pre-1985, the identity of the clue writers wasn't that big of a secret. The 1993 finders told me that they met the guy writing the clues then too, so it wasn't so heavily guarded even 11 years ago.
Anyway, Carolyn says that they're not planning to give any signficant info out. I have no idea whether or not that's true. I just wanted to make sure that they weren't trying to beat us to the punch.
I can't find anything on Twincities.com about the medallion auction. Hmmm... Carolyn said it was starting this Sunday and going until Feb. 4th. It's gonna be done online by some third party company. The PP is going to donate the money to charity (of course). That's all I know. You would think they would get that info out a little better. Carolyn was like, "Oh yeah, it was announced yesterday." I guess announced means that it was announced on the PP interoffice intercom system.
You're too young to like Schnapps Timmers
Ugh, err, I thought schnapps was slang for ice cream. Yeah, thats it.
Dear Clue Dudes,

Me me me!!!! Are you giving out free samples of it, like at Sam's Club??!?!
Are you giving out free samples of it, like at Sam's Club??!?!
Nightly - to the first 10 CC in line. You know the drill bud.
You swapped me a bump of your nasty ass tea last year if I can remember correctly. ;-) Drunks!
Bell Museum Auditorium is a nice place. I am a U of M Admissions Ambassador
Is this the same Rock known as Rob, aka Jesus Christ, aka Mr Devil's Den, etc? You're so grown up now! Wow, how time flies.
He was cool about it and took it like a man so to speak. His response was something to the extent of "That was then, I've grown up".
Do you know what a joe is?

Dear Clue Writer,
Do you visit the cooler crew as a lurker online and do your best to make sure send us as far from the correct park as possible?
Why yes, yes I do.
Ahem.. er.. I mean Good question
Dear Clue Writer-
Where do babies come from?
I figure the cluewriter is always confusing us on purpose, it's time for payback. A question like that will confuse them I am sure.
Boy, that Bell Museum issue chaps my hide. It sounds like a blatant breach of contract.
Which Bell Museum issue, Map Guy?

The_Rock401 go to the No time for cold feet screening thread. We are talking about them changing locations etc.

Isn't downtown parking free on the weekends too? Sad
dear clue writer, what do you use as inspiration to write your clues, other than mad magazine and old watercooler posts?

There'll be no sleeping during this one I suspect. Especially if we end up with a worthwhile prize.
Hey it's Diggorius Rex!! Good one Digs
Diggorius Rex Was that you on the Joe Sucheray show yesterday?
Hey Reg - Did ya notice the absence of the annual Ice Bowl during the carnival this year? Maybe those scam artists finally had their fill of people boycotting their little tournament that filled their pockets.
I doubt the absence of the Ice Bowl.. maybe it's just not affiliated with the WC
Reg - what college are you going to?
maybe it's just not affiliated with the WC
True
Out of state yet! You'll miss the hunt next year!
What was the Ice Bowl? I don't remember that offhand.
Good one Digs
Don't you mean, "Good dig Digs!"

That's our Stern Controller for ya - He even puts Jesus in his place.
you know you want the old one. mr "i wouldn't turn it in if i found it"
For what? The old Medallion? Huh I got a 20 spot burnin a hole in my pocket I guess.
I'd never turn it in either, that's why it would be fairly useless. It was already found and I don't have a few hundred bucks to blow on it.

My kids are having a great laugh about it! So much for their good Catholic education....
