Well I'm gonna cut out of work early tonight. The traffic seems to be thinned out a bit so I'm hoping it shouldn't take too long. It just sucks that I forgot my cell at home today. I feel naked and vulnerable without it. With my luck I'll end up in the ditch without a cell. I plan on stopping by Wallyworld to pick up a headlamp for the hunt.
We just finished talking to Inks' folks. Some of you might remember that right before Christmas, my father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer. Today marks the end of the 3rd week of treatment and he's tolerating that very well. There'll be another 4 weeks as it stands now. He's tolerated the treatments well enough to be able to drive back and forth to Willmar for them without having to rely on other people giving them rides. It all sounds good.Â
They had a little trouble with the vehicle on the way into town one day this week. A neighbor happened to be following them and stopped to give them a ride into Willmar and get their truck fixed and ready by the time they headed back home.
Inks' Mom has always had things like that happen. I swear her guardian angel works overtime.
At any rate, it was good to hear that things are going well at this point.
And while we were on the phone, seems our neighbors were all out plowing us out. We had to laugh as there were times it was hard to hear on the phone for all the plow noises outside.Â
Hi all. It took me nearly 3 hours to get home. It is normally between 1/2 hour and 45 minutes. It's a record allright! I work in Burnsville, live in St. Paul. My top speed was probably 30 and that was on the main-line, getting to the 35E....just about the entire drive on the freeway was no more than 5mph. SUX! I left work a little early, at 3:30, and when I finally walked in theo door after getting the kids from daycare and shoveling the little walk from the street to the door, it was just about 7:00. I'm *still* shaky from the drive.
Terry, glad to hear things at least seem to be going well with your father in law's treatment....
KT - keep fighting ;). I don't see how they can be allowed to remain open after such neglect.
Dad and Emily just went out to see what they could do about clearing the driveway. I have one too, but I don't park in it cause it's further away than the street from the front door. Got my snow emergency email early -- bet we didn't get our call till 7:30 tonight.
The way the cameras refresh themselves is cool....
I really didn't think the freeways were all that bad....but I never did get the chance to take it at more than *maybe* 10 mph.
BTW, 52 was closed due to a vehicle fire. I had the traffic radio on the whole way home, well back and forth with GL, I guess I kept hoping to hear about some "incident" in front of me that would have warranted the slow speeds.
Yesterday I bought and installed new rubber parts for my snowblower. Worked great last night. Did mine, the neighbors, across the street, and coming back to the garage the scraper part falls off. (nothing to do with what I fixed) Now I gotta fix it again today. Dang it. I knew I shoulda just left it alone. Should be like new now though...
Wake up, are you alive Will you listen to me I'm gonna talk about some freaky shit now Someone is gonna die When you listen to me Let the living die, Let the living die (say)
Are you breathing now Do the wicked see you You still breathing You're making me known
What's up, I wonder why Do you listen to me I'm gonna make you do some freaky shit now Insane, you're gonna die When you listen to me Let the living die, Let the living die (say)
I can hear the voice But I don't want to listen Strap me down and tell me I'll be alright
I can feel the subliminal need To be one with the voice And make everything alright
So, are you breathing?
Can't you imagine how good going through this will make you feel I promise, no one will ever know There will be no chance of you getting caught They never loved you anyway So come on, be a man And do what you are compelled to do
oh...i'm glad I looked at that...
where are you at?
I'm at the Target Financial Services building. If you take 394 you can't miss me.
It looks like a lot of good driving and road work out there.

Whhoo Hooo I am a star.
It only has three people in it two in the first shot and a girl in the last one, then a bunch of art work shots in between.
So I'm listening to the Scorpions- REALLY loud.
Does that make me cooler, or what?
CM- The Lowry tunnel looks a bit humbled.
I'm pretty sure I am up WAY past my bedtime.
I am also wondering why I am up.
After all- it's not like there's a medallion out there somewhere.
just practicing, I guess, whilst you all are in a bissful state of sleep.
I may be really late providing you all with cinnamon rolls & coffee.
KT... you are up cause there is a medallion out there.... :).. you can feel it in the air!
