We have that book. It's awesome!  They mix up various childrens stories and present them in a new light.  Like Old Mother Hubbard was heading over to the 3 bears house when she ran into Mother Goose.

I thought I'd share this with the cooler crew....I get a bunch of spam...and I hate spam but this one caught my eye....

For some reason I feel that a lot of members of the coolercrew might want to read this.....

A very disturbed  Paul is having a cup of coffee in a café with his
friend Laura. Depressed, he tells her about his concerns: the job,
money, his relation with his partner, his profession. Everything
seems to be going bad in his life.

Laura puts her hand in her purse and takes out a $100 bill saying,
"Would you like to have this bill?" A bit confused, Paul answers
saying, "Of course, Laura, it's $100. Who wouldn't want it?"

She then puts the bill in the palm of her hand and wads it up
into a small ball. She shows it to him and asks again, "Do you
still want it?"

"I don't know what you're trying to do with this, Laura, but it's
still a $100. Sure I'll take it if you give it to me.
She unfolds the bill, throws it on the floor, and crushes it with
her foot. Now dirty and rumpled, she picks it up. "Still want it?"

"Listen, Laura, I don't know where you are going with this, but
it's a $100 bill and, while it's not ripped in two pieces, it still
has its value."

"Paul, you should know that, even though things don't go as you
would like and even though life may step on you and rumple you up,
you continue being as valuable as ever. What you should ask
yourself is how much you are really valued and not how down you
might be in a certain instant."

He looks at her without uttering a single word while the impact of
her message goes deeply into his brain.

She puts the crumpled bill on his side of the table and, with a
conspiratorial smile, says, "Here, hold onto it so you remember
this when you're down."

"But you owe me a new $100 bill so I can use it with the next
friend who might need it."  He kisses her on the cheek and heads
towards the door. He looks at the bill again, smiles, puts it away,
and with renewed energy, asks for the tab....

How  many times do we doubt our own worth, that we really deserve

more, and that we could get it if only we tried?

Of course the mere idea isn't enough... Action is needed and many
avenues exist.

Try to answer these questions:

1.      Who are the 5 richest people in the world?
2.      Who are the last 5 winners of the Miss Universe contest?
3.      Who are 10 Nobel Prize winners?
4.      Who are the last 5 Oscar winners for best actor or actress?

How did you do, poorly? Don't worry, none of us remembers old
headlines. The applause dies down, the trophies get dusty, the
winners are forgotten!

Now answer these:

1.      Name 3 teachers who helped you in growing up.
2.      Name 3 friends who helped you in tough times.
3.      Think about someone who made you feel special.
4.      Name 5 people who you like to spend time with.

How did you do, better? The people who make the difference in you
life are not those with the best credentials, with lots of money,
with the best prizes.

They are the ones who worry about you, who care for you, those who,
in many ways, are with you. Reflect for a minute. Life is short!
Which list are you on? You don't know? Let me give you a hint...

You are not among the famous, but you are a member of the coolercrew!!! (soon to be famous when you find that damn medallion)

Kind of reminds me of something I was thinking about after seeing the big debate in the movie about whether it's a good idea to share my ideas or not. People say if I don't have the medallion, I have nothing. I continually beg to differ.

Without looking it up, how many of you can name the last 5 people to find the medallion? How many hunters do you think can do so? Yet how many hunters know who I am? How many people come up to me in the park and want to talk to me and say they enjoy reading what I write and they're happy for help they've gotten from me? The money is one thing, but it's fleeting. As far as the recognition and appreciation from one's peers go, I already have that, and so I consider myself a winner.

And if you found the treasure it would only compound that sentiment.  Just as it would if, let's say, Kathy Hogan posted some insightful thoughts on this site year after year.  You are correct about your status as you are a character Mr. Wabbit.  And this movie can only help with that. (unless of course you get the whole he-don't-know-shit people)

true AW has a lot of clout, and is well respected by the hunting community.

As for myself, I'm accustomed to being unknown, and I doubt that'd change much even if I did have a good run of luck and happened to find the medallion. It's all the better for me anyways, I'd rather not be in the public eye, and am much more comfortable just being my humble self. Besides, that way if I make a mistake it's not too bad.
