Greg was a BIG help in getting the Cooler Crew started

I agree

thirded here. and not only was he a help in getting it started, he was an enormous help in continuing on the web site after ma press stopped sponsoring it.

i It was Marley!

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner.  Now there may have been other instances of censoring, but I didn't see them and I was watching for it the 2nd time.  Feel free to correct me if I am wrong in saying Marley was the only one to be censored in this version of NTFCF.

Trent and Jackie:

The movie has recieved more attention than you think! I had a doctor's appoinment this morning and three people recognized me from the film! These were complete srangers to me. Also, two people in the elevator saw my Coolercrew button and started discussing clues with me!

It was so BIZARRE...before this nobody knew what the Coolercrew was, much less recognized us as a group of medallion hunters!

I gave a plug for the movie to all the folks that approached me and all of them said they had seen the media coverage on it. I had four people ask me when the DVD was available!

People in our apartment building here know all about it too. They saw us walking around with all our stuff on and asked if we knew anything about this movie since we were into the Winter Carnival.

They were excited about it and were making plans to attend the screening.

I know during the Renaissance Festival the first weekend is usually pretty dead. By the 4th weekend though, the place is shoulder to shoulder on a nice day. I think it's just somewhat the nature of people here to procrastinate a bit. I think as more time goes by, more people will want to go, especially as they start to realize time is running out to see it. I predict full theaters next Saturday.

My dad made a good point on Minnesotans in general: they never want to be the first ones to do anything, and typically wait until they hear from someone else about something before they do it.  So hopefully through word of mouth this thing will grow.  I've also decided to stop telling people that a DVD will be coming out, partially because Trent sounded like it might not happen, and partially so they will get off their butts and go see it.

I talked with a couple at Crosby park today and they were really interested in the movie. They were asking all kinds of questions about it because I had my pitchfork with me.

By the way, my favorite line in the movie...

"What's he doing, eating cookies?"

The second time I saw the movie I was laughing for like 2 minutes *before* he said it, just knowing it was coming.

tim_the_hunter

I'd have to agree that was the best line in the movie. A close second was when Camo Dan said he told his wife he didn't know how to rake.

I dont remember who I was telling this to, but at one point, saturday night, I said that the flick, kicks ass.. because in a sense, its like a big screen- scrap book, of the last few years.... atleast to peole that were there, or know all about it....

as far as an outsiders view, I think anyone thats not familiar with the goings on, will atleast have some curiosity after seeing it... due in part to how crazy it all seems...... the part that proves that, the most is the shots of like..... the super-long lines at the PP, and especially the shots of como, the night of clue 11, and again the night of clue 12,... with the scary, horror movie music, and shots of what seems like thousands of people runnign accross streets and infront of traffic, carrying shovels, and hoes, and rakes, and lanterns, and basically every other thing that your mom told you NOT to run with...

My favorite line was when the Camo Crew was going over the tools they were using and Camo Dan said Camo Terry was using his Grandmother's ho.

I think my favorite part was when Green was taking a clue 15 steps and Mappy gave that rolling eye look to the camera.

I liked when mappy dug for an hour...toss it back ...only to come back to see somebody diggin in same spot...

AW I agree when he said What's he doing eating cookies that was one of my favorites.....

Mappy is going to make us all think 2ce before we start digging anywhere...you never know what snow he has put back:):)

Jackie and I just got home and need to pay attention to our two kids, who we've been neglecting for the past few months, so I don't have time to slog...

We just wanted to thank everyone who came out to see the film.  We appreciate all of the support.  Thanks.

I'll be back in STP on Friday to hunt.

I spent my first two hours at home shoveling 16 inches of snow from our sidewalks, car etc, so I got some practice.

Philosophical question: Can one line dig alone?

Thanks everyone for the kind words re: the film.  THX, where's the real "Cold Feet" thread where everyone is really saying what they think.
