Actually Battle Creek is my second guess and Crosby my third. Swede Hollow as an outside shot. Those are about the only four I still like, but I'm putting Hidden Falls as my front runner. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the trails between Hidden Falls and Crosby either. Maybe we'll get a Romulus and Remus clue or Gemini clue about two twins.
I highly doubt its at Rice park. Talk the chaos at Phalen last year and place that in a 1 square block park filled with ice sculptures people slaved over for days in the middle of down town St Paul. Not a pritty picture...
Crosby's #1 on my list. BC a close second, Hidden Falls 3rd
Hi Green. I had some fun diggin along the path between HF and Crosby. nice bat caves there. those bats sure do make a scarry noise. good view of fort

There are woods and there is wilderness. At Como in 2003, the woods were thick, but it was still clearly just a wooded area of the park. At Phalen last year you still felt like you were in the park, again it was just wooded. A lot of the wooded areas in Battle Creek feel more like wilderness. If it is there, it's going to be in a wooded area near a path. At Crosby and Hidden Falls, the woods have lots of paths in them and I think they manage to avoid being thought of as simply wild terrain. Kind of a weird, vague thought here, but I guess in the end I'm thinking the medallion will be found within 25 feet or so of a path, and I think that's more likely to happen in the HF/Crosby area than it is in Battle Creek.
i wasnt gonna slog all day since i have been busy at work -
I like BC for the simple factthat the maplewood side was already there when the parks and rec moved in....
I kind of looked at pledge and thought of sobriety and or AA which leads me to rack my brain for a street clue like como had 2-3 years ago with the double E reference....
So on this anagram thing. How many letters are left over? If they do an anagram I doubt they'd have left over letters. AKA Help It's a Prank=It's Phalen Park last year.
//didn't bother to do anagram. Taking your words for it.
What time are people heading down there tonight? I really fell in love with that Winter Carnival ale. Lots to talk about. It was really fun to meet a lot of you last night. The Snowjester and I had a blast. See you down there tonight!
I kind of looked at pledge and thought of sobriety and or AA which leads me to rack my brain for a street clue like como had 2-3 years ago with the double E reference....
Is The "P" in please supposed to be capitalized? My grammer sucks so I'm not sure, but none of the other second parts of the sentences are, just that one.
K now just to letcha guys know... when I logged on.. it says there's only 5 new msgs here... and I haven't been here all day... so I'm just gonna ask if anyone's noodled the figure 8 thing?
Queen - In 2003 I too had the EEE reference. Just none of the other things. LOL.
Yeah - I don't want it there either - but I am just pointing it out incase they mess with us.
think there are lots of negatives in the clues - NOT white christmas, No Cliff, NO water's edge. NO fear - It's like they are slowing ticking off the parks it's not.
Well, if the latter part of clue 3 does mean Ft. Snelling, I think that would indicate HF more than Crosby. I also have my doubts about them ever putting it at Crosby because of the park's reputation.
AW - read my egram. I detailed my rationale. Anyway, you can't see Fort Snelling as well from HF. However, you can see it really well from Crosby - especially on the road when you drive in. Now, it will probably be found on that path between the two and people will be parked all over St. Paul since that south parking lot at HF is locked, gated, and unplowed.
ROFLOLPMP!!! Yup, Nance...
Â
Allison, ittiz Bat Creak.
Echoes from the past.
I predict ittiz gonna bee in Bat Creak NEXT year, too! :D

Now, Allison... You SHURE ittiz NOT in Iris????????? Huh? :D
You also can spell "Shepard Road", "Ford", "Prior" (street name by HF). Go figure.
No cliffs ar Iris.

I'll bring the shovel, you bring the light,

LeetleSlim! I've not had poetry written fur me since like 6th grade. THANK YOU!!!
Sos, you think creak/creek, too? There's an ice rink there, cliffs and edges to stay away from.
So far, I'm in Bat (SW) Creak. Until the error o'my ways izz pointed out to me! :D
Hi Maureen!! I was thinking acorn park earlier, but now I am looking for parks with open water.Â

Hay, New Daddy!
There's a thread over in Mom Press called "Bible Code Says Its In Crosby."
The "Bible Code"!!!!! KT's full moon's workin' on folks! :D
Left over letters.....
well, BC is huge, bigger than little ole Crosby
Is Fort Snelling considered a park?
BC, and hidden falls, I like em both for different reasons.
This is my brain: 0
This is my brain after 5 hours of annagramming: Â _o_---
Any questions?
it has bocce ball court, horse shoe pit,
I think I like Allisons thinking!!
Â
w00t
Don't know how BC fits in the clues, but then Phalen last year was a stretch
"bible code": DaVinci Code?? FULL MOON!
Kitch, do they smell up a Cooler like left over foods stink up my 'fridge?

Befor us = Prior as in prior ave that ends at HFÂ

Bridge, west, airport....
Lots of leftover letters, yes...but interesting posiibilities.
yeah it technically isn't an anagram if there are letters left over.

upper and lower Afton?!
its 84 degrees in my office...grrrrr...
Hunt 2003 - Clue 3
Keep yourself warm, away from the storm
Even in the dead of winter.
Wide as triple E, our door will always be
Open to all who enter.
Explanation: The west-facing entrance to Como Park is adorned with a stone entry donated by E.E. Englebert from the Crosby Estate in 1937.
So technically there is a "crosby" reference in Como as well.... ugh.
Is The "P" in please supposed to be capitalized? My grammer sucks so I'm not sure, but none of the other second parts of the sentences are, just that one.
LL- I think it's because if follows a question mark.
So help me, if its a Como again!!! One of the funner hunts, tho. Hey, i guessed that EEE on the Como entrance---alot of good it did me!!
Gotcha :)
Randy Rust: rack my brain for a street clue like como had 2-3 years ago with the double E reference....
It was a triple E reference and it was reffering to:
The west-facing entrance to Como Park is adorned with a stone entry donated by E.E. Englebert from the Crosby Estate in 1937.
Funny - I just was noodling the Crosby in Como thing on the other thread...
K now just to letcha guys know... when I logged on.. it says there's only 5 new msgs here... and I haven't been here all day... so I'm just gonna ask if anyone's noodled the figure 8 thing?
AW - My thoughts are similar to yours but at this point I like Crosby better than HF because Crosby has two frozen lakes and the open river.
OMG did it say 8...I didn't see that!!!
Queen - In 2003 I too had the EEE reference. Just none of the other things. LOL.
Yeah - I don't want it there either - but I am just pointing it out incase they mess with us.

Â
no.. it didn't..
I just thought that maybe the "figure" was relating to figure 8, as in ice scating or car racing or something...
So, where does everyone think it's at this year?
Well, if the latter part of clue 3 does mean Ft. Snelling, I think that would indicate HF more than Crosby. I also have my doubts about them ever putting it at Crosby because of the park's reputation.
Sumplace out in a park. In the snow.
