The details of adding crew pictures and stuff to coolertimes and all that Jazz tend to be handled after the hunt. So much is going on right now that the rime is hard to find. If you wanna have stuff posted like you see on the site then send me what you want to webmaster@coolertimes.com and when I have a minute I'll slap it up there for you. If you don't know what to say go look at the meet the crew page and see what others have said.
most of the references to "gnash your teeth" have to do with bible verses, and the pain you feel in hell. I don't think that would come into play in the clues. (although I did gnash my teeth last year when it was found). therefore, as I have said- I firmly believe it is "nash". AÂ homophone
Well it just figures the beautiful fluffy snow we got would turn to concrete right when we're wanting to dig for the medallion!
I remember the year at Cherokee. The snow was really hard then, too! We spent too much time trying to chop bits of snow from the top of the hill, while the med was hiding on the side of the hill!
... of finding a parking spot at Crosby tonight?! It's a rather dauntingly large park. There weren't too many people where I was last night, in the woods near the stone shelter. Think I'll be closer to Upper Lake tonight.
This may be nothing - but I distinctly remember a verse for JM Barrie's Peter Pan - when Peter when back many years later to see Wendy, and she was now grown up with children of her own - and she tried to reach out to him, he Gnashed his teeth at her.
That was prolly the first time I'd ever heard that word used - which is why it stuck so well in my head.
gee are there any park references to boy's being eternal boys?
Did you guys know there's a little pond at BC, down from the 'helter-skelter'? And 'below' that pond are all kinds o'paths to earn prizes on... X-Country skiing...
guess it's back to the to'in and fro'in, tried to get to Crosby but there was no parking spot and my kid was being a brat so I just left. Maybe Green's right It could very well be at Battle
I agree. Acorn and Como fit the clues every bit as well as Crosby if you are open-minded enough to think the medallion might be hidden in a cd case (Bing Crosby, Crosby/Stills, etc.). I don't want to get stuck on one park because I've had that trouble before and spent many hours digging miles away from the prize.
at this point, the word crosby comes up just too many times. it's not an issue of being open minded anymore. they're beating you over the head with it. keep it simple!
I still don't like Crosby. I just don't *feel* it. I totally get all the clues, and why one would think there - but I just can't make it just in my gut.
Perhaps I am wrong - it wouldn't be the first time.Â
Since you love Crosby so much, maybe you might like this...
Maybe that song was chosen because Crosby wasn't in it... (said before) and... that the area clues to get you to Hidden Falls are the same as for Crosby... maybe that is what that means...
And, I love to hear "keep an open mind..." I am going over and rechecking all of my noodles again, to see what I over read, under read, didn't touch, or whatever... See what types of clues I have come up with, versus the types of clues that there are to use....
Kitch, not CW, but the old place. The crustacian place. Lela said so. Camo Crewe asking us to come 'cuz ittiz boring there w/o us... Ask Lela. And coups for reduced stuff.
You still thinkin about Carver and the cave,... I like how it would fit to clue 3... and it is my 2nd runner up at this point.... pointing to Mounds/BC/Burns area
The siren's on the top of the hill with the helter skelter ("When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide/ Where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride/ Till I get to the bottom and I see you again.") and the moster to fall was the old ski lift. And there's a little pond over by the parking area... The x-country ski trails go rite over it.
But, whatever. Just my noodling.

Thanks! Aren't they beautiful?? My kids used to go into the woods and dig them out and make terrariums.
LA Mommy thats a pretty cool find there. When I was digging around some of the downed trees there was quite alot of moss.
Frozen ;) but still moss.

Haha! I guess lilslim and I look at them differently.
Okay maybe I'm a little naive/stupid (whatever you want to call it) but how does one become a member of the Cooler Crew?
Outta, I always wondered myself, but never had the nerve to ask.
If yur here, yur a 'Head.
Green! Have I told you lately that you're brilliant?? I loved your "giant falls" noodle!
... but everyone please welcome Buzzygirl, yet another geocacher-medallion hunter (and future Cooler Crew Chick, with permission, of course.)

Buzzygirl, welcome to the Cooler.

Zeph has :-)
My son-in-law and his two sons are at Crosby right now. He said it's very ice and you need an ice chopper.
OT, snot lately... Glad you like it; I do, too. But having trouble with the eagle/dove thighy.
LLady... 'member what we were talking about? Do you KNOW how MANY ships are named "Eagle" and/or "Dove"???????????? A bazilliongillion!!!!!!!
Still (LOL!!!), I think Battle Creek.
I havent been out at all yet
that park is so dang big!!
My cousin said ppl
were funny as hell at crosby lastnight
very intoxicated
Outta - Proud to be a Coolerhead!
I personally have felt welcomed!

outta,
I asked the same exact question last year.
I think everyone does.
now... the matter of your club dues....... will that be a monthly check or cash?
It's the weekend.....
LA Mommy... I think most of the crew will be at the PP Sat night...and I'm sure there will be a hunting party that follows.....
No worries about being alone :)
I think we should go back to the good ol' days when the only way to become part of the crew was through painfull and embarassing hazing rituals...
Was I the ONLY one who had to be inducted that way?
Or was that just a strange dream I had about the whole crew?...
LA, i will be out tonight and tomorrow. Wanna hook up again?
Â
Forget what I just said.
You didn't hear that.
I'm leaving now.

another "probably nothing but" is: has anyone ever read "a river run's through it" ? The dad always wore a single glove for fishing.
Stallion, my life is one big embarrassing ritualistic hazing. I say bring it on.
Med.. I think CM has pictures of that.... it was no dream.....
The dad always wore a single glove for fishing.
so did Michael Jackson... I better stop there... I could say something really bad...

I can't understand how people can still think it's anywhere else...
Only 96 posts and I am all caught up.....
Me either. That just means more parking spots for the rest of us who know where it is!
Thanks for the welcome, Ian, all!
If memory serves there are some caves along the dirt trail that goes around the north end of lower lake.Â
