I will collect if there is still stuff people want to donate. I sent 2 boxes already. 1 includes the special stuff, his shirt, hunting books, buttons, watch, etc. I also sent the box of Muklucks cookies so they can start munching on those!! I am happy to take care of this!!!!!
also when he gets the stuff, is he then going to have access to this thread? If it's no secret anymore, should he be able to read what we were doing? Or not?
Of course if we keep it secret he won't feel pressured to do any thank you notes or anything. Just a thought since this thread is not a complete list or anthing either.
Yes, I am almost done with the master list. I had to list it for each box for customs. When it is complete...i assume shortly after the hunt is over, then I will be happy to post it here. I would love to say who donated what but honestly I have no way of knowing. THANK YOU AGAIN TO EVERYONE this turned out to be a great thing!!! I think when he gets this stuff we will open this up to him....he would enjoy reading it.
Zeph posted somewhere, either here or PP Discussion Board, that he was supposed to come home sometime in February, but wasn't sure if that was still in the works. I think we should send stuff off soon so it gets there in plenty of time for him to enjoy it.
He is only coming home for a short break. A vacation from what is going on. He is on a list to come home that soon if possible, but not officially scheduled till later. We are discussing meeting him at airport on the In the News/War in Iraq thread.

we just got off the phone over here with tom barrett, vulcanus rex lxvii. zephy's going to be knighted. we don't know yet when, tom will get back to us later on with it, but zephy's going to be knighted.
:: wonders if its a conflict of interest to be knighted by both vulcanus and boreas. decides to investigate that one further ::
what time, l&a's mommy? we won't be out late at nite because the kids have to get to school, but we'll make every effort to get that picture taken. let us know what time would be good with him? we are also waiting to hear when he will be knighted. egramming you our cell phone number so you can get a hold of us on the fly. lets make sure that picture happens.
yes, my wife is quite the little sleuth. she checked out the web site, looked up last year's rex's name, got his address off the application, and actually called the guy at home asking him to knight a cardboard cutout. i swear this woman has big brass ones that clank when she walks sometimes.

OTS / Kitch - My service club is a 501c.3 and we are updating our bylaws etc for the first time since we have become a 'non profit' it's really really cagey - I sit on a board with 11 others and we have to follow all sorts of guidelines and set precidents for giving etc.
not exactly a hear for beer type thing.
There are however non-profits that aren't incorped that don't take as much work.

I'd REALLY like to shoot a panorama of a bunch of you guys out medallion hunting with Zeph. Besides the fact that I was already looking for a good medallion hunt panorama, I also like to support the troops (the MN American Legion published the link to my Veteran's Day panoramas in their last newsletter), so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do both in one panorama. My wife wrote to Zeph on some forum, but didn't get an answer yet, so I thought I'd write to you guys about shooting a panorama of you hunting 'with Zeph.' In the past year my panoramas have been featured by
