I agree they are leading us somewhere. At first I thought they were drawing a line cause the Pavilon, Yarrow sign, and flower garden were all lined up with each other. Now I think they are just leading us down the path towards the "magical tree." I wouldn't be suprized if the next clue refrences either the crossing or that covered bench. I think the furtherst it would be is by the big downed tree. That being the Western most marker. I'd go down past the garden, past #2 and #3, past the life preserver (or where it was), and then look for some downed tree. Though it sounds as if most have been well dug around. Though apparently not well enough.
The Pioneer Press has confirmed the winners in its annual Treasure Hunt, presented by Cub Foods. The medallion was found at St. Paul’s Phalen Park just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
A West St. Paul family – Judy Melville, her son Ryan Melville and her son-in-law Hayward Estepp – followed the tenth clue published in the Pioneer Press to find the medallion under the bark of a large fallen tree branch.
The Pioneer Press will introduce the winners and award prizes at a news conference at 6 p.m. today – Tuesday, Feb. 1 – at the Pioneer Press’ downtown St. Paul headquarters at 345 Cedar Street.
TwinCities.com, Campbell’s Soup and Worry-Free Vacations are additional sponsors of the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt.

No need to feel bad crew.
Congrats to the finder. I hope it was an avid hunter.
Does that mean we are hitting GW tonight? or the park?
Dang, dang, dang, dang, dang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is anyone with the idea to move rehash back a week to not interfere with final movie showing and superbowl?
I would rather a hunter find it on Clue 10 then some Sap on clue 12
I just talked to Art on the phone. I guess it's this depressing mass exedus out of the park. No word on who found it, when, or where.
Slim, cheer up, well get it next year! Look on the bright side, we were probably at least close. Could have been hung up at BC still!
Â
I wasn't expecting the post hunt depression to set in until Wed at the earliest. Ah well, it was a good hunt.
yeah, but I am so sad. I am going to do mock hunt this year, I have decided. I didn't get my fill.

The rumor was the old ladies found it at like 10 AM, so If it was the same 2 old ladies, that's lame.

You mean by old over 40???
The medallion was found at St. Paul’s Phalen Park just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Two old ladies! They don't need $10,000. ;)
how long does it usually take pp to post the story? Do they give us remaining clues and explanations right away too?
WHAT?????? thats what the PP says!

Well think of it this way. They'll probably die soon enough and then someone else can find it.
