Who goes to a picnic in February?
The Re-Hash Bash is always open to all Diggers, Hunters, Clue-Writers and Lurkers. Discuss the Medallion Hunt, and have a good time with those of like obsession. It's a great time! The Re-Hash Bash is a family affair. Spouses and kids (even toddlers) are more than welcome! Come early, stay late and eat, then eat some more. It's a potluck deal. It really is a fun time. It helps bring closure to the hunt for the year.

The CoolerHeads are a group of people who participate in the
Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt during Winter Carnival .
The Bash began in 1998 at Cherokee Park. It is always on the Sunday after the Medallion is found, and is held at the location where it was found. The link above is where all the clues were analyzed (over-analyzed !), accepted, rejected, discussed.
What you need to bring.....
- Bring a dish to share: dessert, salad, hot dish, whatever you like.
- Bring your own drinks.
- Bring your own plates, cups and utensils.
- There will be a fire. logs are needed !
- Check the forecast, but come prepared for "changing" weather.
- There have been gas stoves and charcoal grills in the past.

Well, since I'm a man of few words, don't expect some long drawn out emotional post. I enjoyed getting to know a few members of the crew a little better and digging side by side with them. I also like the fact that we are getting to know people by their real names instead of their screen names. I really enjoyed being in the park and always knowing someone around me. Thanks for a great hunt! The Cooler Crew rocks!

Me2... I need one more please.... and would you consider contributing one that can be sent to the museum with Zephy? The one he is wearing now, will go directly to him through his wife along with all his medals, certificates and buttons. I am working on contacting the Vulcs and King Boreas and King Winter to get duplicate medals to donate with him to the museum. Also working on duplicate buttons. If anyone has any extra get a clue buttons would you mind bringing one to the rehash?
I'm going to need to get the "greenish coolercrew button"....the chicks gave mine to Gary the paper guy.....
I was thinking about wingies of the dove, but then Jester said that would be too messy and everyone would get hepatitis or something like that due to finger licking. So now what? If anyone has a request or something. I think that we brought meatballs at Como. I can't remember what we brought last year. I am really looking forward to the Re-Hash!!!

NOTE: This years finders, Melville Family, have been courdually invited to the Re-Hash are planning on coming!
They WILL be at the movie on Saturday -so bring your map book or/and Jesses book- they have agreed to sign them if you want.
FWIW----today I was in the park....I saw many people in looking at the possible locations of where it was found.
But the cooler thing I saw was all the people doing Trashouts.....nice to see even coolerheads.
I ran into one gentleman that said he will try to find us online, go to the movie, and even come 2 the RHB.
He was very interested in doing AW's hunt.
I never said that people were going to get hepatitis (and anyway...how did you know about Art, Green? it's supposed to be a secret!). I just thought that wings might be a bit too messy. But if you guys don't think so then we'll go with that.
ps...maybe boneless wings would be easier?

Excellent. Hopefully the finders will show us exactly where that medallion was. I'm rather confused with the larger tree and all the debris around it, and then the map in the paper...

So just in case some did not catch the joke...Art Vandelay does not have hepatitis and any "Wings of the Dove" brought to the RHB by the Vandelay-Jester household will be completely free of communicable disease (to the best of my knowledge).

Jester, bring the wings! Me and NT are on the atkins diet so we are limited to what we can eat, pretty much just meat, cheese and eggs, so don't worry, they will get eaten :)

Yeah I grabbed coords at the north of the trail spot.. Will be glad to have the finders there to point it out exactly. If it's at the southern trail spot, there's a ton of places it could've been.
KT'S RHB checklist:
Stuff for s'mores
5 gallons of water with soap, towels, purell.
Paper towels, garbage bags, toilet paper (2 rolls)
Coffee pot, coffee
Styro cups, plastic spoons
and Hedda Gabler Goulash.
oh- and an extra folding table
Please, you do not have to bring any of these things!!!!

I love Pickle brownies and silt roll-ups!! I wish that the Re-hash happened more than once a year. All the food and fun is awesome! These have been the longest and most boring two days of my life! Ok, I guess the 3 day Grammar Rodeo was a yawner, but this is crazy!

Scribe- I only kept the fire going for 4 days and 4 nights.
And not without alot of help by those who scoured the woods, and paid good money at SA for wood. (of course, I boldly pled for more wood by saying "if you're gonna soak up the heat- feed the fire")
After the 4 day thing- the wood kept showing up!
It was a beautiful thing.
But "Mother" I can live up to. I handed out kleenex to those with booger noses, I cleaned off remnants of food from CM's face, I offered a warm blanket to passers by, I was the mother of the winter children- And I loved it!
It took my mind off my dad.
