A 20lb box of books (book rate) costs 9.50 to ship. Pay Me knows the cost of normal items.
We are only really paying to ship the stuff to New York or where ever the port is for that APO. I'm not sure if they are routing the mail through Ramstein or Stright to Kuwait. But from the state side port it's all military mail service so the cost doesn't apply to that.

Yes, please understand that this is not a burden nor did I want it to come across that way. I have had a few people egram me with concerns on how things were being handled in terms of money, donations and shipping.
So I felt the crew should know as a whole.
We have had no problems doing this and have rather enjoyed giving with the crew the way we have been able too.
I think the NSP reward is "Medallion Dollars". It has to be spent at participating sponsor's businesses. But once again I could be wrong. But I think I saw that in someone's earlier post.
Love 4 Vino posted his address earlier so by all means if you all have things you still want to send him please do so. I'll give it here again.

You have to fill out a customs slip basically telling them that everything in there is a gift and declaring that you have nothing thats not allowed in Iraq.
I know the other day Zeph was down to Oreos and dehydrated fruit.
Probably was bunking with the Armorer. They tend to have lots of ammo about. I don't know what kind of arms room they would need there since all the soldiers are constantly armed.
I suppose he has a place for repairing weapons and such.
I don't know what rawk is, but OTiS and Pay Me rock more than me that's for sure. You guys are so selfless it's unbelievable, stop doing so many nice things you're making the rest of us look bad ; )
yeah you kept telling me I could say no or get rid of him and I'm like "why in the world would I want to do that?". both of your kids are really cute and not a burden or anything at all, they made this years hunt even more enjoyable in my opinion.
We are leaving here in about 20 minutes and we are going to take every package that is left. Write the thank you notes. Everyone who donated thank you. I am sure the soldiers will thank you as well. However it seems that everyone is worried that I am sitting at home eating nut goodies until I am blue in the face. I honestly feel like my integrity is being questioned by more then one individual. All I wanted is to do something for a soldier who is serving our country. I have been in his shoes. I have also been in his wife's shoes. They both suck!!! So this is a great way to show our support. I would never collect money, merchandise, or anything else if I was not intending on making sure it made its way to the intended recipient. Note...this is not the first large shipment I have sent to Iraq. I ran a donation from work and sent $300 worth of postage to a friend of mine at the start of the war.  As explained yesterday we were trying to scatter the packages so that if something were to happen to the mail trucks that the largest number of items are received.  Due to the concern of this happening like I said everything remaining will be sent today. I am sorry to upset everyone to the point where this is no longer fun for me!Â
Zeph I apologize to you directly!!! This petty crap has turned a once remarkable thing into something I am not very proud of.Â
You will hear no more about these packages. If you have a question feel free to egram me. This is my final post on this subject. Everything will be sent. DONE!!!

I don't think there is any problem with asking a question, it's when you state how long it's been and then go on to insinuate that she needs help that people feel attacked.

The family just sent him 27 lbs. of stuff (2 boxes) cost about $32. He is going to need another room just to store all the stuff.
