I don't think it's the matter of people asking questions. I think it comes down more so to the manner in which people have asked these questions.
Bottom line here is that she decided that everything remaining will be sent today. If there are people who had issue with the way we handled the shipping or the order in which things were sent then next time they can feel free to step and deal with the logitstics as well as pay the extra money needed to make sure things happen.
As far as a promise to corporate sponsors goes, we promised to send these things to Zeph. Thats what we have been and will be doing. We've covered the timeline, we've explained why the boxes have been staggered. The only box that was sent with priority was the box that had the homemade cookies, coffee and Zephs "gifts".
I simply have said thank you to Steph.
Outside of that, I'm not sure what else anyone should be saying.
I think it comes down more so to the manner in which people have asked these questions.
Internet and words are a fine line at times--- Just cause a sentence wasn't followed by a happy face or a LOL, and you can't see the face of the person saying it doesnt men its a bad thing. I wasnt typing in BIG LETTERS LIKE THIS THAT USUALLY MEAN I AM MAD OR CONCERNED OR YELLING AT YOUÂ OR WANT TO KNOW WHY THE HELL THE BOXES HAVNT BEEN SENT YET (lol)...I didnt come off that way the first time so this shouldnt even be an issue. I was a typical Cooler Crew member who was wondering about the stuff was all. I was under the impression it was being sent right away after the pre-dig, thats why I asked, period.goodness people.
when you state it's been 2 weeks when everyone clearly knows it has been 2 weeks right after asking when everything will be sent, thats a shot in my opinion.
everyone wants to portray opening and welcoming when 2 newer members step up and try to do something nice (along with the rest of the crew) they get crap from people for not doing it right, that's not very welcoming.
I think we have equaled your financial and surpassed your time commitments OTS.
I didn't realize this was a discussion about money spent or time put in on the Zeph project as a whole TC. I was talking about the issue of mailing the packages and the discontent of others with the way we have handled it..
and I already apologized if thats not the way you meant it, but I was just saying I understand how it could be taken that way because that's how I read it .
Yes Ares I did. I brought up the subject of money concerning the shipping of the items donated. So unless TC was refering to money you spent on items places in these boxes or money you donated at the PDG for shipping I'm not sure what her telling me you equaled your financial and surpassed your time commitments has to do with what I'm talking about concerning the sending of these packages. People has asked continuously about the money aspect so I answered it.
I've said it more then once, probably more then most people in here that what you two did with Zeph was amazing. I think everyone else is taken back by what you did with all of that. This discussion has NOTHING to do with what you have given or not given.
The stuff will all be sent today. End of story.
Even now shes made it clear that shes done dealing with it, Shes sending everything else out. And yet people still wanna keep on going on about this.

I should prolly egram this, since it will take you forever and a day to getto reading this.. but can you wear any civillian clothes over there or is it all military? Let me know - if you can wear t-shirts.. I was going to get you a couple of wine ones... no vino's son huevos (no wine without balls) etc..
Also what size??? I am guessing a Large? but maybe after you pound the case of pearson nut rolls.. an XL? ha haha.
I have to tell you from what we have seen with all this stuff sent, the crew is amazing.
Regardless the way things might sound or come across, for us this whole project as been completely about Zeph and his fellow soldiers - SFC Dan Fealy, SSG Kevin Von Rump, SGT Brenda Geise, SGT Jake Valenzuela, CPL Brian Caldwell, SPC Dominic Koep, SPC Jessi Tate, SPC Trevorlee Sellden, SPC Mike Palm, SPC Mike Peterson, & SPC Chris Cummings
It has also been about taking care of the family of one Sergeant Jason Anderson. Be that in making sure they know we are trying to make sure he is care about or by giving his kids lots of reasons to smile.
It makes no difference if a Cooler Head donated money, time, supplies or a simple kind comment to Zeph or his family. The value of these individual acts cannot and should not be compared. We all did this together.
Hopefully when all is said and done we can get past the misunderstandings and see the good in all of this.
zeph: if you ever get thru all this or if i see ya on i'll egram but do you know where mike peterson is from? i might have to send out a huge hug for him if it's who i think it is?!
Ya know... I slogged thru this whole damn thing... and as I'm typing this.. tears are running down my cheeks. Why you may ask? I'm happy.. and I'm so proud to be part of such a wonderful group of people who care so much about others. I'm also sad because of the way things have totally gotten blown out of proportion. Dan, Steph, Sue, Jason, and everyone else who donated their time, money, and effort to such a wonderful cause.. you all are truely remarkable people, and I applaud each and every one of you for the wonderful things that you have all done, each in your own way. But let's just stop here and take a good look at this thread... did anyone even bother to stop and think about how Zeph would feel reading this?? I'll be honest with you guys, if I were Zeph, and I stumbled in on this, I'd feel pretty down. And please you guys I'm not saying that anything that was said was said on purpose. I'm no idiot, I know better than that. We're a team you guys, sometimes we bump heads, but for the most part we all play nice. Don't let the spirit go you guys, because it's such a wonderful feeling. Now if you'll excuse me I need to find my box of tissues and blow my nose.
hmm.. musta slogged right on past the drama in here.. don't seem to remember seein any conflict. Ah well, so everybody gonna visit Zephy in the museum next year?
Honestly, I think a lot of things were taken in the wrong context. I don't think any one was trying to be harsh on any one. I appreciate all that was done by everybody and I hope that there are no hard feelings.
Someone I was talking to had said that I won't be killing my surprise of anything if were to read this thread...
I am stopping at post 988... I heard mention of posting a list of the stuff, and I will not read any more of this thread until they show up...
OMG!!! $500 in shipping!!! Wow... speechless...
I hope your kids aren't able to get access to this thread,....
CUZ YOU GUYS KICK ASS!!!
I expected that there would be a ton of involvement in this from all, it certainly sounded like it from all of the e-grams that I have received, and from the stuff slipped out on the other threads...
I never would have expected so much participation as you have all put in, I can not thank you enough... (Might have to make another video... but I hate getting all misty on camera...) ;)
So, for the record, this is the last time you will see me on this thread, for a long time...
Did I mention that you all ROCK HARD!!! (Like Dio, Manowar, and W.A.S.P.....)
...Kitch, please don't twist those words around.,.. I know how you think.... ;)
See ya on the other threads...
------Jason...I have to go and breathe in a paper bag for a while...
I just found this thread yesterday. (Maybe I didn't have access before?) I had heard that you guys were going to send some stuff to Zeph...But wow! I think we all understand. Even Zeph...... We have all been working to make things happen. Sometimes the space gets cramped.
hmm.. musta slogged right on past the drama in here.. don't seem to remember seein any conflict. Ah well, so everybody gonna visit Zephy in the museum next year?
Yes... and the years to come as well.
Next year the museum will have a collection of Cooler Crew buttons, courtesy of *MOM*, Scribe, & TerryV (Sorry if I missed anyone).
I think that is awsome.
...and don't forget Santa Dave!
so if its not an Official event...why are they taking the buttons for the museum??
Whine *sniff* I missed the group hug.
I guess I'll just hug myself then...

Just looking forward to seeing you two out there with us next year :)
JOE-welcome!
I just found this thread yesterday. (Maybe I didn't have access before?) I had heard that you guys were going to send some stuff to Zeph...But wow! I can't believe how much you have done and how much you are going to be sending! You guys rock!!! What a great demonstration of our appreciation for Zeph and his fellow soldiers!
zephwife--Welcome! We admire your strength and we appreciate the sacrifices that you and your family have made on behalf of your fellow Americans. You rock!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Maybe I didn't have access before?
Probably not. It had it's own access list that I didn't update until yesterday.
Where is Zephy???? I've not seen him today....Â
Zeph, make shure you show up here daily (if possible...) sos I don't worry.
THANKS!!!
zephwife,
I can't imagine what this is like for you. A friend at work had her son over there for awhile and he seldom could get word back here so she worried all the time.
As always, we pray for Zephy and the rest of the men and women serving in Iraq.
geez....he would have been going bonkers if they shut the internet down during the hunt.....
Â
thankyou Zephswife.
you are one brave woman-I suppose you have to be wether you like it or not :(
I continue to keep Zeph and you in my prayers.
