I rock at darts after a few drinkypoos but then NO ONE should stand in front of me or near me and the dart board! kind of a hard thower?! hehe.

LOL

If you rock so much, why should no one stand near you?

Hello from up north! Sun is shining, the sky is a gorgeous shade of blue, the snow is melting a bit with the temp in the mid 40s. Love this place!

During the summer months when there isn't snow on the ground, we have room for anyone wanting to camp out for the weekend. We have somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 acres.

Many of you know that I plan on walking in the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk in June.  I will walk 60 miles over the course of 3 days to raise money for the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  I have a dear friend who lost a sister two years ago to breast cancer, and another friend who is currently battling this terrible disease.  I am thrilled and excited to be participating in this event and to help fund the research that will someday find a cure for this terrible disease!

Several of you have expressed an interest in helping me reach my fundraising goal of $2,100 so I am providing a link to my donations webpage so anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so.

mucluck! Good for you!!! There are two women at work that have been treated for breast cancer in the past couple years and my Mother is a breast cancer survivor.

I would help you out, but there is already one person who I am helping out and did that person as much as I can afford to do at this time.

Good luck! Happy walking! Someday breast cancer will be a thing of the past.

How much do you need in pledges to participate?  And what is the route?  I lost a sister to breast cancer and maybe I could do it.

OT - So sorry for your loss

You are required to raise $2100, the route is not yet determined, but last year it started in savage went around the Mpls lakes and ended at the state capitol.

Go to http://www.the3day.org and you can get a lot of your questions answered

That's a lot of pledges.  I think if I were to do it I'd rather do it in one of the other cities.  Like Chicago.  That's where her family lives and I'd have a nice trip too.

    That's a lot of pledges

It scared me at first but I looked at it like this, if 100 people give $20 that gets you there (almost math was never my best skill)

I'd rather do it in one of the other cities.  Like Chicago

    Way cool a road trip!!

From all I have met that have done this before they say it is the most moving and powerful experience they have ever participated in.

I know some girls from a local family here who marched last year because one of their sisters-in-law was a survivor.  I was talking to their mother about it and she told me I should do it.  She told me she'd sponsor me and buy my shoes!  But I had no idea it was that much and I would never approach her about it now.

Got some emails from the kid in the Peace Corps tonight. After my crazy dream earlier this week, it sure felt good to hear from him.

The newsy part of the email:

Norm Coleman's chief of staff may be coming to Guatemala to see PC and the director is thinking of asking some MN volunteers to meet up with him. Let you know how that goes. Bought the mayor's daughter something for her 15th birthday party. That's the special one down here. Should be a fun shindig on Sunday. Got a scholarship for a kid in town too. Get to deliver the check on Monday. Also, I am shortly to become the English teacher for the junior high. Wish me luck in that one!
