Jackie here -- I actually do have footage of Trent digging with a tripod that I shot in the 2001 hunt.

Maybe it will be on the DVD in the "Behind the Scenes" section...

Sorry to disappoint y'all... but it's nothing earth shattering.  It was just an update in the Stanford Alumni class notes about me (Jackie):

"On July 13, Jacqueline Garry gave birth to her second child, Beckett Garry Tooley, who joins his 2-year-old sister, Bridget. The family lives in Greenwich, Conn. At the time she wrote, Jacqueline and her husband, Trent, were finishing a documentary feature, "No Time for Cold Feet," and it was scheduled for release in late 2004. Their first feature, "The Curse," was released and distributed in 2003."

No Time for Cold Feet will be available on DVD later in 2005. The DVD version will feature tons of exciting extras about the hunters, the hunt, its history, the legend and myths surrounding it.

< Hello fellow diggers.  I would be very interested in participating in your
documentary regarding the hunt for the medallion.  I have a number of search
stories that I never get tired of talking about.  I've been diligently
searching since it was found at Como over 20 years ago.  I searched off and
on before then.  I find that being 35 years old is older than most, early on
in the search, which is fun because so many 'rookies' are interested in
other experiences.  Only later, around clues #9 or 10 do more baby boomers
start to come out and we then share more common stories.  I talk more with
treasure hunters than I do with my own neighbors.  I definitely find the
internet as a very helpful tool for hunters but miss the days where you had
to go to the library and look up old newspapers on microfiche to get any
past info. Or ask the veteran hunters what things they felt helpful.  If you
put in more effort you received more in return.  Now anyone can just sit in
a nice warm room with a hot cup of jo and learn everything they need to
know.  I'm sort of a hypocrite though because I love clue talking in the
Cooler during work.  It kind of makes you feel that your not totally missing
everything.  Anyway, I would be glad to help you out in any way possible to
get your movie on it's way.  I generally search after midnight when I get
off from work.  There are only a few of us digging every year at 3 and 4 AM
but we usually remember each other from previous years.  We know the odds
are against us but we try and make a little party out of it anyway.  I've
brought my camera and camcorder out on quite a few occasions with positive
results.  You should find plenty to tape.  Most people will be glad to take
a break and chat with you when approached.  Just don't show up in a suit and
tie:)  Sorry so long. I just enjoy the hunt. Happy hunting yourself.

Thanks for the info.  We'll call you when we get to Saint Paul.  We're
coordinating a lot of things through Green -- do you know her?  We're trying
to meet as many people as possible the first day we're there (on Tuesday) by
having hunters meet us at McGovern's that evening (we're also trying to get
the Como Conservatory from 4pm-7pm on Tuesday, but that's not finalized yet).
 We're going to send out a group e-mail once everything is finalized.

It's hard to say right now due to difficulties with everyone's scheduling.  
When it's all said and done, we will have probably followed somewhere between
10 and 20, and probably talked to/interviewed twice as many.  As far as
following goes, I think we're going to find some people who are much more
interesting than others, so we'll probably make adjustments.  Your late-night
digs sound awesome.  By the way, we're bringing two cameras and a crew of
four, so we can split off in two groups of two.

I've been trying to order that book for a couple years now, but it's been out
of print.  We hope to talk to Roger.  A few years ago, Jackie (my wife and
filmmaking partner) and I wrote a fictional script about a group of hunters
searching for the medallion.  Our plan was to take our group of fictional
characters and throw them into the nonfictional hunt.  We hope to still do
that script some day, but what changed our minds to doing a documentary was
that we just found the Cooler Crew to be such a diverse and interesting bunch
that it would seem a shame not to do a documentary.

Having grown up in MN, Jackie's a Vikings fan. Of course, I'm a Giants fan,
but the filmmaking part of me was kind of hoping the Vikings would make it to
the Super Bowl.  That would've made for an interesting Sunday -- to dig or
watch the game?

We're going to try to hit as many Winter Carnival events as possible too --
mainly to frame the Hunt within the Carnival.  Some of that should be fun and
visually interesting.  We're thinking we might conduct some "interviews" with
the Giant Slide in the background, or an ice sculpture, or maybe something a
little crazier.  We want this documentary to be visually interesting.  We're
also going to follow the Coolerheads when they march in the Torchlight Parade.
