75th Girl Scout Anniversary at the Metrodome - the Jets. I was there...with my daughter!
I'm feeling my age suddenly.
I like Journey... and Van Halen w/David Lee Roth.... but I think my all time favorite band is Aerosmith :)
lol TV you'll be forever young :)
Liberace, Journey, Cheap Trick, Styx, Beach Boy, Rod Stewart...Â
who the heck sang Cherry Pie?
OMG I can hear that song in my head.... lol now it's gonna bug me.
What is pathetic is that I've seen many of the bands on Randy's list AND I've seend REO, Journey, Loverboy, and more 80's bands (hair or otherwise) than I care to mention. One of the funniest pair ups was RATT opening for Billy Squier.
Off the top of my head, Warrant, but I am probably wrong about that.
warrant, pay me. warrant. GEEZ.
I was paid $50 to go to New Kids on the Block...
My neighbor paid me it to take his 14 yr daughter....
if you ask me...I got ripped off.
WARRANT!!!! thank you!
I can sing every Journey and REO song out there....THEY ARE COOL.Â
Kitch, there is something just not right about that.
would you like to listen to air supply anyone?
I think my all time favorite song is by survivor. The search is over.
Yes they are :)
Back in the day tho.... I had such a crush on Rick Springfield... and yes... *cough* Micheal Jackson... when he looked NORMAL... lol.
I'm all out of Love... I'm so lost without you...
one of my favorite groups now is Mulberrylane... dunno if y'all have ever heard of them... but they have a song called Harmless.. that's awesome. They're all sisters and they kinda sound like Wilson Phillips but better.
My daughter was crazy for Michael Jackson. I had promised her if he ever came here in concert, I'd take her. That was her first concert and it was so funny...one of the loudest kids I know, and she sat there almost dumbstruck during the whole concert.
My favorite recent concert: (Paul) Simon & Garfunkel (Keep The Customer Satisfied)! The Everly Brothers popped in and played "Wake Up Little Susie".Â
Rick Springfield...pssh...
Anybody see him at the Taste last year?? He should've had "washed up has been" tattooed on his forehead. But don't tell the women that waited FIVE hours to see him. Geez.
I went up the hill to see Herman's Hermits. IT ROCKED. Seriously. I'm not being sarcastic. It was really good.
My first concert was when I was 13. The Beatles at Met Stadium.
STOP SINGING LISA!!!! god, I hate that song. EW.
That was an excellent concert Frozen. Even though I was in the $50 nosebleeds, it was EXCELLENT. Yay for the Everly Brothers!
That's cool Terry!! Do you still have the ticket stub?
I really haven't been to too many concerts... I think one of the best concerts that I've been to... lol and I'm sure y'all are NEVER gonna let me live this down... is Hanson.... I really liked those guys... and I still kinda do... when I lived in OK they were just getting into the main stream stuff...they played at the local festivals down there and I thought they were pretty good.. because they played their own stuff.
I saw barenaked ladies. I laughed through the whole thing it was great.
I liked the Spin Doctors too... they were cool :)
Hey PayME, lets sing "Lights"... When the lights go down in the city, and the sun shines on the bay, oh I want to be there in my city, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh.
No. I don't even remember getting a ticket stub, but it doesn't matter. The memories are all very clear.
We used to go see a lot of the local bands, Danny's Reasons, the Underbeats, TC Atlantic, and others I can't remember any longer. Those were fun.
I also went to the Monkees concert, Jimi Hendrix, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Buffalo Springfield and Neil Diamond.
Hmmm....I've gotta say that I don't have any embarrassing concerts. I guess the Monkees is my embarrassing concert, except it's not because I really like the Monkees.
Good song :)
I saw the Simon and Garfunkel concert too - twas quite good.
Heard it from a friend, who, heard it from a friend, who...
Awww...Neil Diamond!!! I wanted to go to that concert. It was kinda outta my price range.
ooh neil diamond....That brings back memories...my brain is so not working but the other one is the dude who sings Gambler....whats his name Kenney??
All time best concerts.... Prince and Garth Brooks :)
heard it from another whose been messin around!!!!! duh duh duh....they say you got a boyfriend...
Kenny Rogers ;)
kenny rogers
duh!!
my fav REO song... has gotta be In Your Letter... :)
The Neil Diamond concert I went to was out at the old Met Sports Center across from where the MOA is now.
As teenagers, we also went over to Lake Calhoun for a Paul Revere and the Raiders concert. That was way cooler.
that and I Want U 2 Want Me... Cheap Trick... that song kix ass :D
Me2 LOVES Neil Diamond!!
I also think Kenny Rogers is hot.
Anyone remember a local band called HITZ?
Terry, I love your hummingbird. It is pretty and feels so springy.
I would have loved to see...oh my gosh i cant remember anything.
Elvis.
and the girl who died from anorexia????
Karen Carpenter?
The Carpenters?
There is a girl from Minnetonka on Letterman right now.
My grandparents saw one of Elvis' last concerts... and my mom got to see the Jackson 5... .those would've been cool concerts to go to.
yes yes yes....
lets call this the stephanie trivia game...I put out all the things I dont remember and people try to guess what it is:):):)
