It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Flippy
Another thought- the 9, 5, and 4 could be something other than just numbers. For instance- 9- west, 5-south south east, and 4- east south east from some landmark.
Or else paces from some landmark in the park, although you would have to try to guess what landmark it is from.

I'm not actually lucky, I'm his friend, but have been talking to him on the phone and he wanted to know about the scoring thing...something to do with the backboard
Hey, all. If you want to see a quick summary of the ideas being expressed by the Conway camp, go over to the 1999 Clues at coolercrew.com. The only thing not
mentioned is the 94/5 road connection. This noodle believes the numbers refer to a home address adjacent to the park. The coincidence is too sharp.
Possibility for first part of Clue 8 - Medallion could have been placed in white shrink-wrap. It could be overlooked very easily in something like that.
By the way, have any of you out there looking tried looking under things, inside things, or even up in trees and stuff? I just have this feeling it's not buried this year.
Just got back from Conway Park. It is absolutely packed! We were digging on one of the ball fields and a news crew was a few feet in front of us -- looking kind of
suspicious. We didn't find anything but it has probably been kicked around so many times.
Nothing like publicity. Now everyone and their third-cousin will be out there not having read any of the clues but thanking Channel 5 for doing the dirty work for
them.
Now I almost hope its NOT at Conway although i don't think there's any way around it.
I'm at home with sick kids trying to figure out these damn clues! I was looking for anagrams for the longest time...trying to pinpoint it maybe...now my brain is toast!
If the news is there, that's it then. RATZ. I just knew it would be found before we could all get out there (we - people that work all day and can only look at night.)
I'd like to go after tonight's clue if it's not found yet. I think lots of people that are there now are just nosey and probably haven't even solved the clues. But, I think
darkness and cold will thin them out, and the rain/ice/crap is supposed to show up around 3 a.m. so if it's not found by then, maybe I'll brave the elements and go

Did anybody here catch on to the "valuable sign" clue?
Yes I see a very valuable sign
Flippy, pray tell. Does it mean anything more than the simple fact that the medallion is worth 10g's?
true value sign southside store right near
theres another jeff scott in this state

Flippy, I think the 'valuable sign' is the True Value Hardware sign.
From one part of the park, you can see a "True Value Hardware" sign lit up. I thought that might be significant as to where in the park it is.
scott aint last name middle name
I think if you can see the True Value sign from where you're standing, you should dig there.
By the way, have any of you out there looking tried looking under things, inside things, or even up in trees and stuff? I just have this feeling it's not buried this year.
Well, gotta go. (Stupid job!) Good luck, everybody, and I'll see you out there tonight!
HEY YOU GUYS!!!! TALK TO ME!!! Lucky's Girl
You should be able to see the True Value sign, the 3M sign, the water tower, a single peak... Stay away from the sledding hill.
yeah...I would think if it was buried, someone would have found it by now...isn't Conway pretty well "picked over" by now?
well, hi Mike..now I don't feel so alone out here!
has anyone been out today? is the snow super sticky?
yeah looks like a desert with every nook and cranny covered with a fine tooth comb
its hard and crusty
CA, have you been to Conway? I have (and so have a lot of other people) looked under the bleachers, inside the playground equipment, etc.
I think it might be buried because Clue 8 said "covered quarry." Maybe, maybe not. I guess that only means the medallion has to be covered, huh.
now there is police out at conway and channel five news reporting how many people are out there.......
Is Lucky out diggin?
covered quarry maybe means under a rock hmmmmm
the news is there? Bummer! It's gonna be found before we get a chance to get out there!
No...Lucky is at work
hey ya'll just got home from work to go look does anyone know if there's still a ton of people over at conway?
yes its packed
