Hey, I was thinking.  Are you ever bothered by all the funeral precessions that go by your place every day about noon?  I know I was always stopped before work on a number of occasions when leaving Lexington Heights going past the cemetery.  Why they need to block both sides of the road is beyond me.  I always wanted to be buried there.  Very nice area.  Apparently nice place to hide too.  Maybe he's held up in my old apartment.  ;-)

Boy, it's not my day for driving around.....I hit part of THAT one, too!  After I picked up Emily and Hannah, they asked if they could go over to this playground that we had found the other day.  I had been scoping out a house that was for sale (not *really* looking, just a habit I have) and discovered that it was a block from a cool looking playground.

So I bargained with them, and told them if they could get a good amount of homework done by 4:00, they could go for a little bit.  We heard the report on the way there, and saw all the helicopters while we were there.  Total gridlock trying to get home, north on White Bear ave, to Maryland......UGH!  I'm not going anywhere else tonight!

Good grief! What a day! There's an amber alert out too for a 17 year old girl that was taken from a bus earlier today. Seems like this is the day for all the crazies to get out.

Green, we have 2 scanners.  Not paranoid or anything.....one is from the serious ghetto days in San Diego, the other is from my parent's house.  Haven't used either one for years, but it would be interesting when there's so much going on.

The *good* one, the one from my parents' house, needs the antenna.  Doesn't get very good reception without it.  The other one is okay, but you have to know what frequencies you want and program them in.  I would guess if I can get either one of them to work decent, it would be fine if your borrowed.
