No you won't. You and Digger will be pacing and worrying and then trying to pretend you're sleeping when she gets home.

I found the best way to scare off men (back during my dating years) was to

A) tell them I wanted to marry them

B) tell them I'd like to get intimate and it was okay because I didn't have aids anymore...

Did you happen to go to the Gold Rush back when it was a meat market?  I could have sworn I've heard those lines before.  ;-)

I knew you looked familiar.  Next time you see me, give me a slap and I'll see if I remember.

I haven't finished slogging everything around these parts, but if I try, I run the risk of waking up sometime later with little square indentations on my face.

Goodnight and SCDs everyone!

'Marnin', 'Heads!

Got a call from my aunt, my Mom's sister.  Haven't seen her in twenty years *this* (come to think o'it!) month, when my Mom died.  Haven't talked to her in 20 years, since Mom died come to think o'it...  She's going to be up here in April for a wedding and we're going to get together...  I'm not feeling all that good about this...  Do I really WANT to do this???  I gotta think about this some...  My senses are telling me to run like the wind - in the opposite direction.

Y'all have a GREAT day!

In class tonite, got back the eight essays we'd turned in two weeks ago...

Man.  I killed myself on those essays. They had to be a minimum of 200 words each.  My shortest was 375.  Did, redid, and redid.  And redid again.  To get my sentances/thoughts all in the rite place, have the paragraphs flow, address every single part of the question/idea put to us, yada, yada, yada.

I thought it [all eight essays together] 'A' quality work.  It was good.  I was really pleased with what I'd done.  Then I had this dream where I like failed completely.  Big 'F'.  I was sweatin' it...

I've been a nervous wreck for two weeks... Got back the essays and...

NOT ONLY DID I GET AN 'A', I GOT A 100!!!!!!!!!  :D

This girl in my class that's really smart and who's opinion, thought processes, and perspectives I respect - who I just knew was going to get an A - got a 95!  I can't believe I did better'un she!!!!!

I can still think!!!  (Sometimes...)

Told you.  :)

Told me?  Told me what, OT?  Don't go startin' that "brilliant" stuff again!  A 100% on eight essays is way way far removed from being brilliant! Fur shure!

Whatever you do mean, thanks.  When I type here I just type-talk, so what you see here is a quick poring out of thoughts coming a mile a minute.  What I turned in was really remarkable. You'd never ever ever know it was me.  Not from what you read here.

I'm so proud!  I did good!

Trust me... You will NEVER see me gushing like this over a math class.  Best I could squeak by there would be a D - if not an F.

Thanks, OT!(((((OT)))))

You're quite welcome.

It is good it wasn't math!

Tue, 03/01/2005 - 10:23 PM Permalink

Ittiz only 7.5% o'my grade.  We've two sets o'essays to do for a total of 15%.

But it wasn't about that.  It was all about ME.  Me and what I could/couldn't do.  The whole class thighy is.  I'd been planning on going back to school for some time and my life took a really big downward icky spiral. BUT...

I stuck to my initial plan and enrolled.  I wasn't going to give up this bock-to-school thighy.  I followed through because it was for me.  Me doing for me.  Me seeing how good/bad [at school/learning] Me is.

Doesn't matter what enkneebuddy else in class does/doesn't do.  This is about ME.

It makes me feel good and proud.  I got that A.  Ittiz all mine!  School's one of the brightest points in my life right now, what with getting ready to lose my job, etc.  Me testing Me, trying to do the very best I possibly can, gives me a wonderful goal to keep my mind off other, less pleasant things.

And you can bet I'm gonna work just as hard on the second set of eight essays!!!  :D

Who cares about math anyway.  That's what calculators are for.

But as for your writing, I'm not a bit surprised.  If you read past the dialect (which is your charm), you see that your punctuation and sentence structure is flawless.

And don't go saying I'm crazy, because I made a living as an editor and writer so I know what I'm talking about.  :P

Hay!  I didn't tell you.

When I took my math placement test I broke down and cried.  For joy.

I thought I only had to take one math test, so I was twitting out when I finished one and a second one popped up.

Reader's Digest Version:  I passed high school Algebra and PLACED INTO COLLEGE ALGEBRA!  Meaning I could move right into a college level math course and NOT have to take the 0110 like math classes you get credit for, but don't count towards graduating/degree classes.

I didn't pass the collge Algebra part...  Got like a25.  But I placed IN IT!!! :D I just broke down and cried. Never ever dreamed I'd be able to do that.

On the reading comprehension o'the placement tests?  I got 117 points outta 120. :D

OT!!!!!!!!!!  I AM!!!!!!  I just learned that, in this class!  I always thought I was left (Apollonian) brained 'cause I'm right-handed!  But I'm Dionysian, and I scored OFF THE CHART being right brained!!!!!

So, I AM in my right mind!!!

OT - It's great to see you! Hello!

I asked Brenda for a copy of the poem. I still haven't gotten it. I sent another reminder. Told her I wanted it autographed, but that she could wait and sign it after I had a frame for it.

Hi Terry.  Just hanging out in here tonight hoping I get sleepy.  I'm looking forward to seeing Brenda's poem.

Have you ever done counted cross-stitch?  I had a poem transfered to linen and finished it and had it framed.  That would be really cool!

I've done counted cross stitch. That would be nice, but we'll have to see. This poem ran a page and a half.
