A couple things to remember - 1) AW called Hidden Falls as the park this year, before he changed his mind to Crosby. 2) Leland runs into Crosby (Stanford U. is named after Leland Stanford). 3) If you imagine the gate at Shepard at Crosby as being north (up), then under it would be south. I believe that is the space between Crosby and Hidden Falls.

Oh, one more thing - AW loves Iris park. Porky's (BBQ) is right next door and is approximately south of the Crosby gate. I don't know how the other clues fit. In fact the probably don't, but I thought is was worth mentioning Iris.

We could place bets on which park the clue leads us to tomorrow.  ;)

Iris is smaller than Rice though, isn't it?  If it's the one I'm thinking of.  And he said it's in a park larger than Rice Park.

field goal...both 3points..

Football. A score worth three points made on an ordinary down by place-kicking or drop-kicking the ball over the crossbar and between the goal posts.
Basketball. A score made by throwing the ball through the basket in regulation play, worth two points or, if attempted from beyond a specified distance, three points.

I see lots of good ideas (and lots of wrong ones too as they can't all be right). So it's not a matter of people not figuring out the clues. It's a matter of who's going to put all the pieces together in the right way? So far I would say things are going pretty much as planned. ;-)

AW is full of bologna, don't listen to a word he says that isn't a clue, and even then, be skeptical.

"The Bicycle Casino's Legends of Poker"  Hmmmm.  Did Jake bring a casino chip back and give it to AW?

I changed my mind and decided not to go to my singles event tonight. Someone else was leading it. I was just trying to be supportive. But then as I got downtown I started thinking $7 for parking and $15 for a ticket to go to something I wasn't really that interested in after having spent $300 on my car today and still being unemployed. I decided not to go after all and headed back home.

These are nice:

The main entrance to the estate was guarded by a superb iron gate (with the name "Stonebridge" atop it) set between massive brick piers that appear to have been at least 20 feet high. The piers were moved in 1937 as part of a WPA (Works Project Administration) project to Como Park and can still be seen today at the park entrance at Midway Parkway and Hamline Avenue ---Kitch

______________________________________________________

Crosby's mansion was located near the center of the estate, at what is today the southeast corner of Woodlawn Boulevard and Stanford Court.

Stanford?

Today, virtually all traces of the estate have been obliterated except for one notable survivor -- the eponymous stone bridge (located on private property) that visitors once passed over on their way to the great house where Oliver Crosby lived, if only for a very few years, what must have been the life of his dreams.

The Iron gate is at cono, What about the STONE GATE? Is that still on private property  --MrMnMikey ;)

They WERE on the private estate BUT now are located right at Midway Prkwy and Hamline.
