Duluth and Case are still in, if we noodle the way we have - that the Chip is NOT going to be in any park referred to in the past.
Linwood would still work, too.
So would Groveland, if I could ever find anything on it. Ittiz not part of the park system yet. At least I can find nothing on the Internet. That's putting it better. It COULD be part o'the park system and they've just not updated the stuff.
Friday I'm going to Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop but that's not until 7:30 so I can certainly post the clue at 6. Saturday I have a luncheon in the afternoon and then a party in Forest Lake that night, but I can still post the clue in between those at 6pm. On Sunday I have a brunch and then I'm playing D&D. I may have to interrupt the D&D game to post the clue, but we're playing at my place so that's not a problem. So I will have a busy weekend, but I won't be out of town.
My prediction right now is this hunt will go 9 clues. But we'll see.
I can't think of anything tying those parks together, except, OH! They all have oak trees. We must be looking for a park with oak trees! That narrows it down!!!!!!!!!
No, just kiddin. Thanks for reminding me about the meds though. I did forget.
I am running out of noodles! I think the only thing that we know is that we don't know quite yet -- which is better than *thinking* we know and then having to dig ourselves out later on. Been there done that too many times.Â
Oh, thanks. I say what I think, and it never means anything to me. Like I can't figure anything out. So, for all I knew, there *was* something important about Poplar/Prospect and two sylables! LOL!!!
Good on the meds. Don't wanna lose are magestic spirit now that they're here, tho bird-brained s/he may be! :D
I know I don't know. But that sundial idea I had is just bugging the crap outta me. I keep going bock to it... (Prolly because it was a) mine, b) a unique, original thought! Not that it means bo-diddly! :D)
Wish folks would noodle. I love the noodling. But Kitch and Mikey, and Randy prolly, too, are out digging. Maybee Me2, 2.
I mean, HECK!!! This DRIVES ME NUTZ! It's just a bunch o'clues and words. You'd think a person could figure them out!!!
posted this earlier but i i'm rethinking again after slogging green and spirit. maybe there is more to this past hunt park order leading us to the now hunt...
this may be totally off but ian's (i think) idea of the octagon parks pointing one out made me think. maybe he's showing us other hunts pointing us to one of the parks by sequence of years where the medallion was found in the past?!?
2005 Crosby Farm nature Area - underneath a fallen piece of bark from a fallen tree, frozen to the ground. 2004 Phalen Park – inside a green donut (in reference to Archie comics #78 where their local newspaper sponsors a similar hunt), in the area between Phalen and Round Lakes 2003 Como Park – frozen in a chunk of ice under fallen timber and leaves in a wooded area north of the dirt bike course and dutch oven 2002 Merriam Park – taped to the underside of a tortilla chip can liner 2001 Como Park – inside an Iron Man sports sock and tucked into a Dove soap box 2000 Newell Park – inside an Ace brand box of playing cards 1999 Conway Park – wrapped inside a white, crocheted holder 1998 Cherokee Park – placed inside an Old Navy brand sock 1997 Como Park – in a Curad bandage box, wrapped in a red bandana 1996 Harriet Island Park – inside of a Skoal tin 1995 Battle Creek Park – placed inside of a knitted yarn pouch 1994 Highland Park – inside of a little white box
Allison, you are SO ROTTEN!!!!! "Here's something else to rattle your brain. If you did figure it out, do you believe you would realize you had figured it out?"
You KNOW damn good and well I wouldn't! But you never know. But I truly doubt I'd know. Not like "WOODROW," that's for shure. That was a KNOWN.
I can't beleive you!!! I don't know if I want to keep laughing, or cry! Like, when I do figure it out, it won't mean squat because I won't know that I know!!!!
Chair-O-Key and Newell were both 'firsts.'Â Is that important?
I can't figure out how CoNo 2001... WAIT!!! CoNo 2001 was a first, TOO!!!
But how was Phalen 2004 a first? OH!!! FIRST TIME THE MED WAS SEEN BY THE PUBLIC AND RETIRED!!!!!
These were all "first" parks!!! Bet Allison's gonna put it in a park ittiz NEVER been inbefore! Or, ittiz going to be in 'his' first ever park... Like Iris or something...
I can't beleive you!!! I don't know if I want to keep laughing, or cry! Like, when I do figure it out, it won't mean squat because I won't know that I know!!!!
Maybe you (and everyone) should put some effort into looking over what's been thrown out there already and what out of that would make sense instead of looking for more new directions to go into. Not that there aren't some things to be figured out yet, but I don't think they will help you as much as taking some things that have been mentioned already and pushing them a little further. Which is probably true of most hunts. I know in the past, the correct answer to just about every clue was mentioned within the first hour the clue came out and most of the noodles after that were in directions too wild to be useful.
But by pushing, wouldn't that be taking too many steps? Whatever, I'll go back over posts. Still won't be a lightbulb going off, but far be it for me to *not* do as directed by The Rabbit.
I know in the past, the correct answer to just about every clue was mentioned within the first hour the clue came out and most of the noodles after that were in directions too wild to be useful.
That's an allowable noodle... I think. No, ittiz not. I noodled that HOURS after the second clue. Like DAYS later. Or did I? Yeah.  'Cause the sundial clue was the 7th, and I had class. So it was prolly not until Wed that I noodled 'sundial.'Â
Hey THX - Is there any way to lock out this Allison Wonderland character from this thread? He seems to start a ruckus every time he comes in here. Not too productive if you ask me.
I realized that if I went out there today, I'd have to come back home to post the clue and then go back there again for my Mason meeting, so I ended up staying home instead.
1st hour of clue 3...wow stanford, berkley, ucla not in THG red/black odd/even newell hell or devil's den / newell ace= pilot= airplane 'round about fire pit riverbluff -stanford runs into it wheel -er spinnin' rides...
I'll be out of town Fri/Sat/Sun, but then I have M/T/W off.
HEH

Wonder if I could get Iris to fit...

Is this important...
We've three regional's (Phalen, CoNo and Chair-O-Kee), and one city - Newell.

Oh. Never mind!
I can't think of anything tying those parks together, except, OH! They all have oak trees. We must be looking for a park with oak trees! That narrows it down!!!!!!!!!
Northwest CoNo's not mapped, and ittiz the same but different...
Oak trees! hahahaha
Beavers chew down oak trees...it HAS to be at Beaver Lake!
Beavers do not chew down oak trees. They chew down aspens/poplars.Â
An Aspen Lake around?
Green, that's it! Poplar ------> Prospect. Both start with the letter "P". Not one step but two...Prospect is TWO syllables!!!! My gosh!!!!
First letters of all the parks = CNCP (if in date order). We're missing vowels. Can you guys (i can't!) put vowels in there to get a word?Â
Or County, City, Park... What's the N for? Or, County, City, Nature Preserve? Wouldn't that bee CoNo again?
Huh? Say, spirit, you taken your meds yet today???? I think you're goofin' out... Go preen and calm down.
Wutchewtalkin'bout? You're not for real, are you? If so, you gotta xplain to me!
No, just kiddin. Thanks for reminding me about the meds though. I did forget.

Here's something else to rattle your brain. If you did figure it out, do you believe you would realize you had figured it out?
HAIL and LAST
can not come up with any numbers that make any sense...gonna be sad if i missed it i've tried so hard with them and it's probably nothing. hehe ;)
Glad you could finally join us spiriteagle09!! Welcome.
Here's something else to rattle your brain. If you did figure it out, do you believe you would realize you had figured it out?
probably not because second guessing myself is second nature! :)
Ditto what Rosie said about second guessing.
Allison, you are SO ROTTEN!!!!! "Here's something else to rattle your brain. If you did figure it out, do you believe you would realize you had figured it out?"

I may as well give this all up! WWWWAAAAAAA!

Thanks CM. Glad to be here.
I need to go and do some reading before the fifth ambiguous clue is released so that I can torture myself all over again. See yas later.Â
Ta Ta for now...happy noodlin'.Â
I know in the past, the correct answer to just about every clue was mentioned within the first hour the clue came out and most of the noodles after that were in directions too wild to be useful.
In the past that was the case. For most clues, not all. Might be different this year.
Green....Prospect Park has a sundial. ;)
Just got back from Como, I'm liking it a lot.
Found a couple of A & W rootbeer cans, I think it would be hilarious if it were in one or attached to one.
Thank you, OT!Â
That's an allowable noodle... I think. No, ittiz not. I noodled that HOURS after the second clue. Like DAYS later. Or did I? Yeah.  'Cause the sundial clue was the 7th, and I had class. So it was prolly not until Wed that I noodled 'sundial.'Â
Forget sundial.
what hit you in the head like a tono of bricks??
Â
enlighten me!
I love that noodling now has a statute of limitations! :)
Now I am OFFICIALLY leaving for awhile. See you tonight!
I'll never say that I noodled "can cap"... But in a dream, maybe, I came up with the words "can cap." A&W *would* be fitting...

I took out one really small thing in that hour that I didn't repost...look and you'll find it...
I like it so I'm not reposting it...
East side, west side...I took my honey for a ride. To both stony and sandy places.
So many pieces, so many possibilities!
