Tilden and Frost Lake are no longer in the THG as guides. Tilden was moved back to the smaller park blurb section. Frost Lake is gone completely, save for the fact that it's still on the inside front cover map of St Paul
There was a sign with a catfish on it by the dock. Originally I was going to hide the treasure on one side of the lake and noted that the fish pointed the wrong way (or maybe it was the right way, I forget). Then I switched and decided to hide it on the other side of the lake instead but still had it in my head that the fish was pointing the wrong way (or maybe it was the right way).
I bought a new cartridge and now my printer doesn't work. So I have a perfectly good cartridge and it's worthless. I'll probably buy a printer that uses a different kind. What number is yours, me2?
it is funny in a big pp hunt how everyone shares more -and the prize is big ....then in these smaller hunts-the prize is small but the competition is stronger and less sharing.
BTW. I've been talking to outta and she's doing really well. Way ahead of schedule. She's even back online. :) Today was her first day home alone with the preschoolers and they were very good boys.
Tilden was the first mock hunt (online not in reality of course). AND IT IS NOT IN THE CURRENT MAP BOOK!!! So to find the medallion at Tilden this year we have to look in the same place but do something different and that is actually go out and dig, not just email the location to AW.
AW tells us in clue one that in some cases you will have to take not one step, but two. That means there will be a false park and, upon further reflection, a real park clue.
The clues are leading to one particular park and I don't think it is Tilden because there are no clues that actually send us there. There are only clues that don't send us there. How could new people actually participate?
well that wall was covered by snow-and it was so close to the cliff that I didn't venture to the other side soon enough otherwise I woulda had it 2 or 3 clues (days) prior!!!!!
This would have me crazy...if I wasn't that way already! LOL!

If I recall...the fish faced the wrong way last year....
Â
I'm not sure what fish sign you mean, but the North marker in the THG that looked like a fish pointed in the right place.Â
<-N-
<
depends OT-cause where I am sitting right now- north is >>-N>> haha
Talking about the map, me2. ;) The "fish" in the middle of Loeb lake.

Then I guess it was just dumb luck that I saw that directional sign as a fish. lol
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr my color ink just ran out -I hate printers that won't print when 1 cartridge is out! I only need the black anyhow!!!!!
I bought a new cartridge and now my printer doesn't work. So I have a perfectly good cartridge and it's worthless. I'll probably buy a printer that uses a different kind. What number is yours, me2?
Epson 785EPX
Mine's a Lexmark. Probably wouldn't work.Â

Clue 3 - Newell Park - 2000 Medallion
Clue 4 - Como Park - 2001 & 2003 Medallion
Clue 5 - Merriam - 2002 Medallion
Clue 6 - Mears -Â 2003 Mock Hunt
Clue 7 - Swede Hollow - 2004 Mock Hunt
Clue 8 - Linwood - 2001 Mock hunt
Clue 9 - Conway - 1999 Medallion hunt
[Edited 2 times. Most recently by on Mar 14, 2005 at 08:57pm.]
Marley had a Mock Hunt in Mears. I think it was in 2003 but it might have been 2002. Red Bear just had one in Swede Hollow in 2004.

So we are using all the parks where a medallion has been found either in a mock hunt or a real hunt since the year 1999 so far.
It's also a matter of being like 50 out of a few thousand versus one out of 50.
Good evening Rush

If you say so. ;)
Any idea where the mock hunt was in 2002,
I wonder what the Medallion Hunt would be like if there was like a Cluewriter's Column in the paper everyday where the cluewriter taunted the hunters?
or maybe I'm being a fountain of misinformtion

2002 was Phalen. 2003 was Battle Creek. The Phalen one was so huge because of the shortness of the Merriam hunt.
my mock hunt history is not as good as my medallion hunt history
or maybe I'm being a fountain of misinformtion
Ah, so Kitch's post was about you then!
Any idea where the mock hunt was in 2002

wow- 4 years ago.
wow, then what yr was Linwood? it couldnt have been 2001!
Except for that it was!
"The same only different" being the THG?
yeah I hated that I couldn't participate in that hunt I had the hiding spot picked out but I was unable to get out and hunt due to various conflicts
cuz that was my second to last mock hunt (Phalen was my last) right before I moved to CA

"The same only different"
I think that's my favorite part of all the clues.
well that wall was covered by snow-and it was so close to the cliff that I didn't venture to the other side soon enough otherwise I woulda had it 2 or 3 clues (days) prior!!!!!
I think the rabbit has implemented a new fun and cool idea into these clues.

And here I thought we had that already, with AW taunting all of us. lol
I'm almost glad I'm outta town at this point...

I'm almost glad I'm outta town at this point...
Me too. I think I might be in danger! :-P
This hunt reminds me of the episode of "Cheers" when Cliff Clavin was on Jeopardy.
The final jeopardy question was a list of 3 obscure people, his response:
"Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen"
Â
I still believe people could figure it out if they thought about it enough. Although it is tricky.
Tricksy rabbit
