And even if you guys didn't figure it out, I think you still have to appreciate the fact that the treasure went to the first person who did figure it out.
Come make your bet on the trickiest hunt yet. As you sometimes take not one step, but two. You’ll be all set and not have to get wet If the same, only different is what you do.
A treasure renowned, one lost, another found Ponder if we were the animals as you stroll To be treasure bound, search on the ground And score a payday if you make a field goal
This hunt is tricky because many of the clues do not lead you to the park, but rather to another clue. The second clue is what leads you to the right park, hence you have to take two steps. If you take the “same” only make it different by rearranging the letters, you get “Ames” which is the name of the street that goes by Sackett. “Set” also hints at the tennis court there and “get wet” alludes to the small stream near the treasure.
The treasure renowned was Officer James T. Sackett who was lost when he was killed in the course of duty in 1970, but just recently his killer was found. Once you know the park, find the rock that says, “If you were the animals” and take a stroll from there. If you look on the ground between two upright posts (sawed off trees actually), you will find the treasure.
Clue #2
A Bicycle ride will be your guide To what you are looking for And in the park a moment of dark Will hold the way to keep score
"A Bicycle ride will be your guide" refers to the treasure itself, which is a $1 casino chip from the Bicycle Casino. The "moment of dark" refers to Wrigley’s "Eclipse" gum. The treasure is hidden inside an Eclipse gum box. "The way to keep score" refers to poker. It is said that the only way to keep score in poker is to see who has the money and thus the Eclipse gum box will show you who has the money (you do!).
Clue #3
The spinning roulette wheel is a hint to the deal As is a famous west coast educational place Lucifer’s lair helps reveal what we sought to conceal Seek unmapped terrain and it will make you an ace.
The first of the two step clues. The roulette wheel hints to Wheeler St. “The deal” and “will make you an ace” call back memories of the 2000 hunt when the treasure was hidden in an Ace brand deck of cards. The famous West Coast school is Stanford, which might lead one to Stanford Newell for whom the park was named after. All of these clues are to make you think of Newell Park. Lucifer’s lair is the Devil’s Den in Newell, a wooded hilly area northeast of where Wheeler ends that is not included in the THG. Finding that same terrain is a clue to Sackett which also has a wooded hilly area. The area of Sackett where the treasure is, is also not really mapped in the THG.
Clue #4
Head west going straight from sides numbering eight Around midway enjoy some barbecued cuisine. Look south of Crosby’s gate and you’ll do simply great If you find you can roughly duplicate this scene.
Another two step clue. “Sides numbering eight” refers to the gazebo on the West Picnic Grounds of Como Park which is “around Midway” Parkway and is a place you might eat some barbecue. Heading due west from there, looking towards the area south of the gate on Midway and Hamline that was taken from the estate of Thomas Crosby, you will see some ball fields against a wooded backdrop. Sackett also has ball fields with a wooded, or “rough” backdrop.
Clue #5
Neither factors of thirty-six, nor a city in the Michigan sticks, Nor quoting all the sweet serenity of books Will show what this park depicts. Rather on the middle transfix. Then down and dirty is how a wise hunter looks.
The third two step clue. The factors of 36 that matter in this case are 9 and 4 as Highway 94 runs along Merriam Park. Ann Arbor, a city in Michigan on the outskirts of the Detroit metro area, is also the name of an Avenue that runs into Merriam, and “all the sweet serenity of books” is a quote from Longfellow, as Longfellow Magnet School is located next to the park. In the very middle of Merriam, near the top of the hill, is a pair of tennis courts. Sackett also has some tennis courts near the top of a hill, and looking down from there, along the dirt path is where you might find the treasure.
Clue #6
Fifth and sixth are no fun, go for number one When the clock strikes come near to warn her. And though it’s no fun, clean up when doggy’s done Then take your clue from that running corner to corner.
The next two step clue. Mears Park sits between 5th and 6th streets and the “1” from the old First National Bank building is nearby, as is Warner (warn her) Rd. The clock striking refers to the famed clock in Mears Park, and one must clean up after their dog if taking said dog to the dog park area of Mears. There is a small stream in Mears running from corner to corner that gives you a clue as Sackett also has a small stream running very near the treasure site.
Clue #7
A tunnel, not a vent, oh is that where they went? The cornerstone would be too high to tell you. So even if it’s bent, you should think of a descent Although instead of a dozen it’s less than two.
Whichever way you enter (or exit) Swede Hollow, you have to go through a tunnel. “vent, Oh” is a clue to Vento as Swede Hollow is now the Bruce Vento Trail. The cornerstone refers to the cornerstone historical marker of the Hamm Mansion that sits in the upper part of the park. Making a descent is a hint that the stairs are the clue, as the stairs in Swede Hollow are kind of crooked. While Swede Hollow has a dozen flights of stairs, Sackett only has one (less than two).
Clue #8
A saintly place that sits above grace Yet lies below a nearby scenic ledge Will help this race as an exemplified case Of what runs along the southernmost edge.
St. Clair Rec Center is a “saintly” place that sits just north of Grace St. It’s also down below the scenic overlook, or “ledge” that can be found just down the street at Linwood Park. The southern border of this park consists of railroad tracks just as Sackett also has railroad tracks on its southern edge.
Clue #9
View the river and sky, see a suburb going by But the planes will require a certain visibility You’ll have to be sly, the treasure’s not nearby Unless you find a building of proper suitability
Skyview Park and Riverview Elementary both border on Belvedere Park as does Woodbury St which goes by. The park is also not far from Holman Air Field where you can see planes going by. The building of proper suitability in the park is the Boys and Girls “Club”. Sackett also has a Boys and Girls Club and is in fact one of only two other parks to have one.
Clue #10
When fortunes flow and profits grow Good times seem to be all around Can’t stay there though, you’ll have to go As the treasure inevitably drags you down
Flowing fortunes, growing profits, and good times all allude to a period of prosperity. If you start at Prosperity Rec Center and go straight down (south) you will hit Sackett.
Clue #11
The two step is now done, for this park is the one You think this has been a mixed up game we’ll bet In seventy there was a gun, the community it did stun Now if you can just figure out the casts Jake met.
Clues 3 through 10 led you not to the park with the treasure, but to other parks with characteristics that were clues to the correct park. This clue is now a clue to the park itself and thus the “two-step” process is done. The “mixed up game” refers to an anagram in the clue. “Casts Jake met” can be rearranged to form “James Sackett” the cop who was shot and killed in 1970 and for whom Sackett Park is named after.
Clue #12
Having trouble finding the treasure? Here is the end of your displeasure Start your quest on ninety-four Ok, Ok you are waiting for more? Head north on White Bear Avenue About a mile you know it’s true Look for Ames and take a left This will take you to thee northwest Around a bend into the lot All of a sudden you’re getting hot At a rec center known as Sackett Do you still think you can hack it? It’s out of your car and across the field It’s time to hurry no need to yield Find the end of a wooded path On the side is a stream no need for a bath Fifty five paces will mark the spot Make sure to be careful if you trot Look to the left for two sawed off trees Of equal size they are sure to please Between the two covered in leaves Lies the coin the winner retrieves
This clue just tells you where it is. Nothing tricky about it.
I know it was killing him to go out last night but couldn't. He must have had dreams of finding it today. I wonder how long it took for him to find it once they got out there?
I wonder how long it took for him to find it once they got out there?
Let me think. I believe he first called me at 7:45am just to say he was out there and he had been there 20 minutes at that point I think he said which would have been 7:25. Me2 said he found it at 8:13 so that would be not quite an hour.
In any case, its cool that he found it... when we talked to him at Prosperity the other day, it sure seemed like he had been doing some hardcore homework.... good stuff
Also, were you awair of the lost and found sign at Linwood
I almost poo'ed myself, when I saw that sign... I probably looked like a geek to anyone that was nearby, when I saw it, and pointed it out and said "LOOK! LOOK!! LOST AND FOUND!!!"
Also, were you awair of the lost and found sign at Linwood,
Actually I was not aware of that.
I figured the clues would get pretty confusing by the time we got to Clue 5 and it was starting to seem like every clue was leading you to a different park, but I was thinking by Clue 6 people would start to realize that they were not supposed to look in every park but rather just take a clue from every park. Someone did it, so I know it wasn't impossible but I will admit I was surprised there weren't more people who got it.
Well I "got it" as far as what you were doing, especially with clue 7. But that was the time that Leelabell found the sign at Linwood and there is also 1 flight of stairs there that just happens to be bent. So I guess I got locked in there, the other clues fit just not the same way.
well I was there for about 15 minutes and knew. But I walked into the wooded area and then saw the SPOT as walking back twords the entrance to the woods. I did not see the field goal spot walking in.
That sign with AMPHIBIANS -not animals! haha clinched it definately! even though it says animals right on the sign. shows snakes, frog, and a turtle. I got to straddle the frog afterall ;)
The creek was a cool ephiphany but its not on the guide for Sackett and then the guide shows MORE than one flight of stairs-but when your there there is really only one
I was a little worried that if anyone was familiar with that park, the "If we were the animals" line might tip them off, but it seems that didn't happen.
I am bumbed I didnt get to see more of you all in the parks
I suspected that would be a downside of this hunt. It was mostly about noodling and I figured once someone got to the right park, it wouldn't take long for it to be found.
We didnt see many people out either... saw TMK, the other day, and then last night, we were driving through Mounds, and spotted a lantern, so we got out to inspect, and it ended up being Becksie... lol... kinda figured that anyone walking through a park, with a lantern, must be looking for something..... and what else is there to look for in a park, besides a medallion of some sorts...
Morning all. AW thanks for waking me up with bad news ;) . Anyway, it was a great hunt - the first AW hunt I really participated in. Congrats to Kids!!!!!
I don't really have a clue as to who anyoneis here...but congrats TMK. Impressive work!
Thanks AW for the fun (and lack of sleep, poor concentration ability, loss of productivity at work and for the all-in-all insanity). ;) Can you imagine if the PP did a hunt like this? It would certainly separate the die-hards from those "non-button registers."Â
I FINALLY figured out what you were doing last night at 1:30am but I didn't have enough time to put the pieces together. I had my eye on Sackett and kept thinking to myself, "Self, has there been any clue to Ames Street?" ---- here, it was the first damn clue given! Figures. It's sometimes good to leave room for improvement -- and I certainly did this time.
And, since I was wholly and deeply committed to Linwood - particularly after seeing the sign and the stairs, I thought I would post my Linwood theory:
Clue 1
As you sometimes take not one step, but two - Means that some clues will lead you first to a wrong park, and then to the right park (after further consideration)
If the same, only different is what you do. - Means it is in a previous AW park.
A treasure renowned, one lost, another found - There is a sign in the Linwood parking lot entitled "Lost and Found..." that discusses the prairie restoration on the hillside. The prairie in MN is a renowned feature of this state but is mostly gone, a woman and her dog found a bit of it here and it is being maintained by the local community.
And score a payday if you make a field goal - A park or rec center with football or basketball.
NOTE: After finding that sign, I was sold on this park. Earlier AW hinted that the first clue probably wouldn't get you to the park, but once you found the park you would understand the clue. Well, this sign screams, clue 1.
Â
Clue 2
A Bicycle ride will be your guide - my guess is that the coin is hidden in a bicycle playing card deck.
And in the park a moment of dark - it is hidden along the edge of the woods
Â
Clue 3
The spinning roulette wheel is a hint to the deal - I haven't figured this out.
As is a famous west coast educational place - If Berkeley/Stanford continued on, they would run into Linwood
Lucifer’s lair helps reveal what we sought to conceal - my guess is this has to do with the power plant that can be seen, perhaps because it incinerates wood (Lucifer's Lair would then be the incinerator)
Seek unmapped terrain and it will make you an ace. - An unmapped area of the park (the woody areas of Linwood are unmapped). Ace could refer to tennis courts or the nearby airport.
Â
Clue 4
Head west going straight from sides numbering eight - Something around the airport must have 8 sides
Around midway enjoy some barbecued cuisine. - there is at least one BBQ restaurant (Cora's Best Chicken) between the airport and Linwood.
Look south of Crosby’s gate and you’ll do simply great - Linwood is south of Como
If you find you can roughly duplicate this scene. - I don't know about this, but it probably means that it is hidden similarly by differently than last time
NOTE: This clue tricked you into thinking it was at Como or Crosby
Â
Clue 5
Neither factors of thirty-six, nor a city in the Michigan sticks, Nor quoting all the sweet serenity of books - More parks that it is not at, Battle Creek or anything to do with Longfellow/Hiawatha
Rather on the middle transfix. Then down and dirty is how a wise hunter looks. - Middle of the park or middle of the steps going down. Look on the ground
Â
Clue 6
Fifth and sixth are no fun, go for number one When the clock strikes come near to warn her. - These two lines lead you to Mears or the small river park in downtown. In actuality, the clue is telling you to go to AW's first non-virtual hunt, Linwood (go for #1)
And though it’s no fun, clean up when doggy’s done - There are two signs in Lindale that indicate you should pick up your dog poop.
Then take your clue from that running corner to corner. - Not sure about this, maybe 35E, St. Clair, or the bluff edge of the park.
Â
Clue 7
A tunnel, not a vent, oh is that where they went? The cornerstone would be too high to tell you. So even if it’s bent, you should think of a descent Although instead of a dozen it’s less than two. - This clue is leading you to Swede Hollow. In reality, you are supposed to understand that there are 12 flights of stairs at Swede and you should not go there. Instead go to a park with steps with less than two (or only 1) bend. The steps into the woods at Linwood, have one sort of S curve.
Â
Clue 8
A saintly place that sits above grace - St. Claire Ave. sits above Grace St.
Yet lies below a nearby scenic ledge - The houses along St. Claire are above the height of Linwood.
Will help this race as an exemplified case Of what runs along the southernmost edge. - Not quite sure how to interpret this. Could mean it is hidden along the southernmost edge or that Grace itself runs along the southernmost edge (but actually, Grace is only part of the road below the park, Pleasant takes over)
Â
Clue 9
View the river and sky, see a suburb going by - You can certainly see the river and sky from the bluff at Linwood. I think the suburb either refers to Lilydale (the park and the suburb), which can be seen from the park. Or, the name of one of the train lines is the same as one of the suburbs of the Twin Cities.
But the planes will require a certain visibility - You can really only see the airport from the pointy end of the park.
You’ll have to be sly, the treasure’s not nearby Unless you find a building of proper suitability - Not sure about this. It could be an address of a home, the rec center building itself, or it could be Pleasant ice arena.
It's sometimes good to leave room for improvement -- and I certainly did this time.
I have to say the first post you made to my Yahoo group before coming over here in regards to Clue #2, you absolutely nailed that clue. I thought you were maybe Jake posing as someone else as I wondered how someone could get that clue so absolutely correct. So you certainly did have a good start.
I was too busy gettingbaked from 2nd hand pot smoke at motley crue
many people brought young kids 8-12 - the youngsters got treated to seeing many breasts last night - i bet these dumbass parents will rethink their motives for bringing them to this kind of concert next time!
with that said it will be interesting to see what goes on at the state fair version of crue;)
It seems Linwood wasn't quite a perfect fit, but I can see why people thought it was there. Usually I'll try to have a decoy park where the clues might seem to fit there if you read them a certain way, but this time I didn't. It was just a coincidence that Linwood fit so well.
The park was Sackett on the east side. It's on Ames Ave. a little west of White Bear Ave. You get to the park and if you park in the lot you'll see the Boys and Girls Club, a lot of open field space, and some woods on the far side. If you walk towards the woods you'll see a big rock. If you go to look at what it says, it reads "If you were the animals". From there you might notice a dirt path to your right leading into the (thin) woods. If you take that trail you'll see there's a stream in the woods, and not too far along the path there are two sawed off trees that look like uprights. The treasure was hidden between them in an Eclipse gum box that had leaves taped to it.
I thought it was funny that when TMK did his hunt, I was the only one who got to the right park, except for Me2 was with me. Now on this hunt TMK was the only one in the right park except he had Me2 with him.
And even if you guys didn't figure it out, I think you still have to appreciate the fact that the treasure went to the first person who did figure it out.
TMK Cleans Up!
Clue #1
Come make your bet on the trickiest hunt yet.
As you sometimes take not one step, but two.
You’ll be all set and not have to get wet
If the same, only different is what you do.
A treasure renowned, one lost, another found
Ponder if we were the animals as you stroll
To be treasure bound, search on the ground
And score a payday if you make a field goal
Clue #2
A Bicycle ride will be your guide
To what you are looking for
And in the park a moment of dark
Will hold the way to keep score
"A Bicycle ride will be your guide" refers to the treasure itself, which is a $1 casino chip from the Bicycle Casino. The "moment of dark" refers to Wrigley’s "Eclipse" gum. The treasure is hidden inside an Eclipse gum box. "The way to keep score" refers to poker. It is said that the only way to keep score in poker is to see who has the money and thus the Eclipse gum box will show you who has the money (you do!).
Clue #3
The spinning roulette wheel is a hint to the deal
As is a famous west coast educational place
Lucifer’s lair helps reveal what we sought to conceal
Seek unmapped terrain and it will make you an ace.
Clue #4
Head west going straight from sides numbering eight
Around midway enjoy some barbecued cuisine.
Look south of Crosby’s gate and you’ll do simply great
If you find you can roughly duplicate this scene.
Clue #5
Neither factors of thirty-six, nor a city in the Michigan sticks,
Nor quoting all the sweet serenity of books
Will show what this park depicts.
Clue #6
Fifth and sixth are no fun, go for number one
When the clock strikes come near to warn her.
And though it’s no fun, clean up when doggy’s done
Then take your clue from that running corner to corner.
So even if it’s bent, you should think of a descent
Although instead of a dozen it’s less than two.
Clue #8
A saintly place that sits above grace
Yet lies below a nearby scenic ledge
Will help this race as an exemplified case
Of what runs along the southernmost edge.
Clue #9
View the river and sky, see a suburb going by
But the planes will require a certain visibility
You’ll have to be sly, the treasure’s not nearby
Unless you find a building of proper suitability
Skyview Park and Riverview Elementary both border on Belvedere Park as does Woodbury St which goes by. The park is also not far from Holman Air Field where you can see planes going by. The building of proper suitability in the park is the Boys and Girls “Club”. Sackett also has a Boys and Girls Club and is in fact one of only two other parks to have one.
Clue #10
When fortunes flow and profits grow
Good times seem to be all around
Can’t stay there though, you’ll have to go
As the treasure inevitably drags you down
Flowing fortunes, growing profits, and good times all allude to a period of prosperity. If you start at Prosperity Rec Center and go straight down (south) you will hit Sackett.
Clue #11
The two step is now done, for this park is the one
You think this has been a mixed up game we’ll bet
In seventy there was a gun, the community it did stun
Now if you can just figure out the casts Jake met.
Here is the end of your displeasure
Start your quest on ninety-four
Ok, Ok you are waiting for more?
Head north on White Bear Avenue
About a mile you know it’s true
Look for Ames and take a left
This will take you to thee northwest
Around a bend into the lot
All of a sudden you’re getting hot
At a rec center known as Sackett
Do you still think you can hack it?
It’s out of your car and across the field
It’s time to hurry no need to yield
Find the end of a wooded path
On the side is a stream no need for a bath
Fifty five paces will mark the spot
Make sure to be careful if you trot
Look to the left for two sawed off trees
Of equal size they are sure to please
Between the two covered in leaves
Lies the coin the winner retrieves
This clue just tells you where it is. Nothing tricky about it.
I know it was killing him to go out last night but couldn't. He must have had dreams of finding it today. I wonder how long it took for him to find it once they got out there?
Thanks AW!

TMK is at work. Yes he did get pictures. and clue with softball fields was actually very easy
I wonder how long it took for him to find it once they got out there?
Let me think. I believe he first called me at 7:45am just to say he was out there and he had been there 20 minutes at that point I think he said which would have been 7:25. Me2 said he found it at 8:13 so that would be not quite an hour.
Personally I have no plans on Thursday and it seems TMK is free also. Anyone else looking to make some St. Patrick's Day plans for a post hunt party?
And an aside to OT- Your guts were 100% right. You should maybe trust them more.
In any case, its cool that he found it... when we talked to him at Prosperity the other day, it sure seemed like he had been doing some hardcore homework.... good stuff
Good job AW and once again thanks for another hunt.
I think the premise was cute, but in the end it was somewhat difficult to figure out what to take out of each park and then put into another park.
Also, were you awair of the lost and found sign at Linwood, if you were, you are truly and evil, evil rabbit.
Kitch is gonna be sad, I don't think he got within a block of it.
Also, were you awair of the lost and found sign at Linwood
I almost poo'ed myself, when I saw that sign... I probably looked like a geek to anyone that was nearby, when I saw it, and pointed it out and said "LOOK! LOOK!! LOST AND FOUND!!!"

Swede Hollow has a dozen flights of stairs, Sackett only has one (less than two).
the guide shows more than one flight of stairs there.
-TMK found the right park!
BUT I did get Railroad, Tennis, stairs, creek and eclipse ON MY OWN.
the taking 2 steps was fun-
Â
p.s. i liked th two steps as well
[Edited by on Mar 15, 2005 at 07:44am.]

You probably really would have poo'd yourself then if you had gone to Sackett and saw the rock that said "If you were the animals".
Kitch is gonna be sad, I don't think he got within a block of it.
I'm thinking that's probably true. If someone had gone to Sackett and looked around, there was no doubt it was the right park.

TMK has some good stories about being out there.
we did find some mens white underwear-he swears it isnt his! ;)
I knew that park like the back of my hand during me2's hunt. Damn!

congrats to TMK! I practically grew up in that park. err the woods there anyway.
damn... you could put the underwear with the jacket and pants that were found at Linwood, and have a hunting suit...
I was a little worried that if anyone was familiar with that park, the "If we were the animals" line might tip them off, but it seems that didn't happen.
:( -I am bumbed I didnt get to see more of you all in the parks- I saw Mucky yesterday. I wanna see 3M and CM :(
I am bumbed I didnt get to see more of you all in the parks
I suspected that would be a downside of this hunt. It was mostly about noodling and I figured once someone got to the right park, it wouldn't take long for it to be found.
Well TMK was the only one to figure out the clues completely and he's the only one to find the treasure, a true AW hunt. Congrats!
But like I said, I wanted to have a hunt for once where the best noodler won.
Â
TMK ROCKED!
Â
and what else is there to look for in a park, besides a medallion of some sorts...
I
FINALLY
figured out what you were doing last night at 1:30am but I didn't have enough time to put the pieces together.
Â
If the same, only different is what you do. - Means it is in a previous AW park.
Â
A treasure renowned, one lost, another found - There is a sign in the Linwood parking lot entitled "Lost and Found..." that discusses the prairie restoration on the hillside. The prairie in MN is a renowned feature of this state but is mostly gone, a woman and her dog found a bit of it here and it is being maintained by the local community.
Â
And score a payday if you make a field goal - A park or rec center with football or basketball.
Â
NOTE: After finding that sign, I was sold on this park. Earlier AW hinted that the first clue probably wouldn't get you to the park, but once you found the park you would understand the clue. Well, this sign screams, clue 1.
Â
Clue 2
A Bicycle ride will be your guide - my guess is that the coin is hidden in a bicycle playing card deck.
Â
And in the park a moment of dark - it is hidden along the edge of the woods
Â
Clue 3
The spinning roulette wheel is a hint to the deal - I haven't figured this out.
Â
As is a famous west coast educational place - If Berkeley/Stanford continued on, they would run into Linwood
Â
Lucifer’s lair helps reveal what we sought to conceal - my guess is this has to do with the power plant that can be seen, perhaps because it incinerates wood (Lucifer's Lair would then be the incinerator)
Â
Seek unmapped terrain and it will make you an ace. - An unmapped area of the park (the woody areas of Linwood are unmapped). Ace could refer to tennis courts or the nearby airport.
Â
Clue 4
Head west going straight from sides numbering eight - Something around the airport must have 8 sides
Â
Around midway enjoy some barbecued cuisine. - there is at least one BBQ restaurant (Cora's Best Chicken) between the airport and Linwood.
Â
Look south of Crosby’s gate and you’ll do simply great - Linwood is south of Como
Â
If you find you can roughly duplicate this scene. - I don't know about this, but it probably means that it is hidden similarly by differently than last time
Â
NOTE: This clue tricked you into thinking it was at Como or Crosby
Â
Clue 5
Neither factors of thirty-six, nor a city in the Michigan sticks,
Nor quoting all the sweet serenity of books - More parks that it is not at, Battle Creek or anything to do with Longfellow/Hiawatha
Â
Rather on the middle transfix.
Then down and dirty is how a wise hunter looks. - Middle of the park or middle of the steps going down. Look on the ground
Â
Clue 6
Fifth and sixth are no fun, go for number one
When the clock strikes come near to warn her. - These two lines lead you to Mears or the small river park in downtown. In actuality, the clue is telling you to go to AW's first non-virtual hunt, Linwood (go for #1)
Â
And though it’s no fun, clean up when doggy’s done - There are two signs in Lindale that indicate you should pick up your dog poop.
Then take your clue from that running corner to corner. - Not sure about this, maybe 35E, St. Clair, or the bluff edge of the park.
Â
Clue 7
A tunnel, not a vent, oh is that where they went?
The cornerstone would be too high to tell you.
So even if it’s bent, you should think of a descent
Although instead of a dozen it’s less than two.
Â
Yet lies below a nearby scenic ledge - The houses along St. Claire are above the height of Linwood.
Â
Will help this race as an exemplified case
Of what runs along the southernmost edge.
Â
But the planes will require a certain visibility - You can really only see the airport from the pointy end of the park.
You’ll have to be sly, the treasure’s not nearby
Unless you find a building of proper suitability - Not sure about this.
So you certainly did have a good start.
and still dont know what Friggin park it was found in - i see the friggin clues and meanings but riddle me this - where the HECK was it found?
Â
BTW - good job TMK
Me2 - did you 2 agree to split the b00ty?
Iwanna see 3M and CM :(
Sure, rub it in to the two guys who know the park the most. Why not twist that sword while you at it. ;-)
I like leelabells explanations better, hehe.
I was too busy gettingbaked from 2nd hand pot smoke at motley crue
many people brought young kids 8-12 - the youngsters got treated to seeing many breasts last night - i bet these dumbass parents will rethink their motives for bringing them to this kind of concert next time!
with that said it will be interesting to see what goes on at the state fair version of crue;)
what park?
It seems Linwood wasn't quite a perfect fit, but I can see why people thought it was there. Usually I'll try to have a decoy park where the clues might seem to fit there if you read them a certain way, but this time I didn't. It was just a coincidence that Linwood fit so well.
Me2 - did you 2 agree to split the b00ty?
TMK didn't get any of my booty ;)
he will probly post what he is doing with his booty.
Â
"And an aside to OT-Your guts were 100% right. You should maybe trust them more."
Haha! At least I have that. Great hunt, AW! I thought it was a lot of fun. And congratulations TMK! Did Jake bring you that coin, AW?
My guts tell me I should do a little spring housekeeping today. :)
Iwanna see 3M and CM :(
She said my name 1st! Nananananana
AW - if it wasn't for the sign (and your comment about knowing it when you see it), I would not have been so committed. So, I blame you. :)
I thought it was funny that when TMK did his hunt, I was the only one who got to the right park, except for Me2 was with me. Now on this hunt TMK was the only one in the right park except he had Me2 with him.
