I've seen both "Open Water" and "Saw." Saw was Cooler, in an artistic, weird way. Open Water I HATED!!! Did some screamin' and yellin' during that puppy, fur shure. Cried and cried.
This weekend saw "Pacifier." Cute movie, but I was distracted by the sub-titles. It was the showing for the hearing impaired. For some reason, I just can't help but read the subtitles and so can't concentrate on the visual portion o'the movie. The ticket guy said that if we didn't like the movie that we could let him know and he'd give us free tickets to anudder show. But I said "No." I didn't feel right doing that because he informed us before we purchased tickets that the movie had subtitles for the hearing impaired and so we had the chance to not see that showing. But we did. And since we'd made the choice, being fully informed, I just couldn't see asking for free tickets.  That wouldn't have been right.Â
Also rented "Cellular" and "American Crime." The first was GREAT! Up until the very last lame scene/line. But a real on-the-edge-o'your-seat movie until the end. I really enjoyed it. American Crime was goofy. And had a HORRIBLE ending. The way it was filmed and the goofy TVs in it reminded me o'Saw and The Ring.
HIPPO BIRDIES TWO EWES, Frozen! If a bit belated... Hope it was GREAT!!!Â

Yea, it seems like they are barley covering that story! I guess the lady in florida is taking up all the network time.
I think i'd rather hear about the lady in Florida, rather than another school shooting... even though the florida thing pisses me off so much...
I just remember being glued to the TV set when Columbine happened, cause it was my senior year, and I couldnt imagine something like that happening at my school... and yet again, I could.... it was scary as hell... still is.
Saw a whole mess of nasty stuff... I guess it was harder to see the kids than it was to see their parents. I know how I get seeing people in pain, (Were both empathetic with those in sorrow... we'll cry with ya), I can't imagine... nor do I want to.
I have seen trucks blown apart and burned until their was nothing left but a frame and the steel belts of the tires... I saw an ambulance with over 200 bullet holes in the side, and an armored HMMWV that didn't quite make it. It wasn't a huge deal, that stuff happens here, daily. But I have the nastiest taste in my mouth thinking of those kids...
we are closing on our house tomorrow at 4:00, today will be my last day on line for a while :( I'm gonna go crazy! But am happy to be getting out of here :)
Nice going LL!! What a weight taken off your back huh? A song comes to mind......
Well we're movin on up, To the east side. To a deluxe apartment in the sky. Movin on up To the east side. We finally got a piece of the pie.
Fish don't fry in the kitchen; Beans don't burn on the grill. Took a whole lotta tryin' Just to get up that hill. Now we're up in the big leagues Gettin' our turn at bat. As long as we live, it's you and me baby There ain't nothin wrong with that.

damn weatherman....can't they get anyday right....geez...
Â
today was supposed to be rain and crappy....so we packed up the car and drove almost 2 hours to biolxi/gulfport to go to an oceanirum (didnt' know it was half outside)...
about half hour after being there..the sun came out and created a great day....which is great but I'd rather have spent the time on the beach vs. in a car.
The oceanirum was cool....they basically just had a bunch of dauplins on display and for shows...they had about 15 of them around the small park about half the size as como zoo.
was fun for my girls to be able to play catch with a basketball with them...since the pools are right there....
Watched 3 dauphin shows and one sea lion show....my daughter even got a kiss by a sea lion on her head....was to be on her cheek but she's a little shorter then I think the sea lion is used 2.
I was amazed by the duaphins and how well these were trained vs. the minnesota zoo ones...
Â
Well...was nice to get back to the beach by 3pm anyways and spend some time in the water with the girls....
With a LOW surf we found a bunch of hermit crabs and the kids had fun racin' them.
One more full day and I'll be home on thursday night.... :)
Hopefully you'll bring back some of that nice weather with you Kitch. Not too bad here today but could be warmer.
Hey LL, now that you and NT are going to be one of thosepeople, are you still planning on associating with us or R U gonna move to a more sophisticated thread? ;-)
It's a pretty young crowd down there or I would have too. I'm curious to see what's in my Dad's old office. Apparently there have been a lot of big stars showing up there including Cher and Robin Williams.
Life sure gets busy at times. I don't think I got here yesterday at all. Hmmmmmmm.
We spoke with my in-laws last night. The cat scan my father-in-law had on Monday showed no sign of the tumor in his esophagus and no other signs of cancer anywhere!!! He sure is happy about that. Thanks to all who shared good thoughts and said a prayer or two.
My mother-in-law, on the other hand, seemed a bit more disoriented last night. Repeated herself more often than she has been lately when we've spoke with her. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease.
At least her husband managed to get past this hurdle. Hopefully things will be good now for awhile with him so he can do what he wants to do and care for her.
Plus, the drinks are really expensive. But they sure get a crowd. The cars fill the municipal lots up Grand and even the lot south of MGM. Which is now Big Discount Liquor or something like that.
Off Price Sales(5757 Sanibel Dr., Minnetonka, 952-930-1150), the store that sells Target's returns at 70 percent off, is closing next month after losing its lease. Everything is discounted an additional 50 percent, which will increase to 75 percent on Tuesday. A large amount of children's and women's clothing and shoes remain at $1.25 after the discount. Easter baskets and accessories are available for less than $2 each. A limited number of inflatable pools 3 feet deep and 15 feet wide, regularly $300, are $75. Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
....seems like all the fun stuff happens when I'm outta town....this and the RHB at the moose!
YOU HAVE NO IDEA! - we had soooo much fun playing darts. made it to the pool table but didn't even get 1 game finished! even the dance floor was open after 9.

Maybe everybody is off watching the shark movie...
Speaking of shark movies... We rented "Open Water" this weekend.
Timmers would hate it!
Even I hated how it ended.
It was sad.
Caught the last half of the shark movie lame=(
we rented Saw, it was pretty good, creepy but good :)
Â
I watched The Wall
I also saw Ladder 49-you know how it ends already by the theme of the movie but it was still good and I still cried.
we also rented Friday night lights and the Forgotten, Friday night lights was good, The Forgotten I thought was a little slow.
'Marnin', 'Heads!

I think a lot of people were glued to the set back then because it was so new. Now, sadly, people expect the worst.
We went and saw "Hostage" with Bruce Willis. Pretty much what I expexted from him. No twists, just action. I thought it was ok.
Saw a whole mess of nasty stuff... I guess it was harder to see the kids than it was to see their parents. I know how I get seeing people in pain, (Were both empathetic with those in sorrow... we'll cry with ya), I can't imagine... nor do I want to.

Wow Terry! What good news that is.
wow...I'm still wondering WHY??
the crow is better if you ask me...
The new owner must have some connections. That's what I figure anyway.
was $15 to go...nah....wouldn't have went...

I know its unreal....
would be nice to be able to "invest" and buy one of the nearby bars and "redo" it and get the RUNOFF crowds...
