I think there will be little coffee shops etc. to stop and post etc! not sure if my camera will have the right hookups while i'm gone but i will take tons and tons of pics!!! you betcha!
Wednesday, March 09, 2005 down under... I bought my tickets!!! i'm going to australia june 3 - 21! i can't wait.
I will be backpacking and training up the NE coast from Brisbane to Cairns. yippy! also doing some snorkeling and sailing over the great barrier reef! how exciting. i've needed this break from the inland for quite some time.
hopefully my newly found knitting hobby will help with the 24 hours of flight! i also got one of those neck rest thingy's for the plane to make sleepin easier! i do love to fly though, it shouldn't be that bad! yipee!
It's four in the mornin' Battered and numb A loaded room, an empty gun I whistle a tune, I heard years before The clock started tickin' Where did the time go I danced to the mornin' She called out my name The wind was a howlin' And down came the rain Her arms they caressed me Sweet was her brow She opened my eyes To banish the doubt Wash me down in all of your joy But don't drag me through this again
I've heard all your sad songs I can hear It's in with the whiskey and out with the gin I've heard all your sad songs I can hear It's another day older In These Exiled Years
The dew on the ground Blankets the face Cold was the night Gone her embrace For your land of the free Now prisons me To rot in this jail Of lost liberty
Wash me down in all of your joy But don't drag me through this again
I've heard all your sad songs I can hear It's in with the whiskey and out with the gin I've heard all your sad songs I can hear It's another day older In These Exiled Years
Walk away, watch me as I wave One foot here, but sure the other's in the grave Walk away, walk away
I've heard all your sad songs I can hear It's in with the whiskey and out with the gin I've heard all your sad songs I can hear It's another day older In These Exiled Years

Irish Drinking Song [Originally by Buck-O-Nine]
Well I stumbled in at 2 a.m. all drunk and full of smoke My wife said I have had enough, I'm sick, that's it, get out! So I stumbled down to Kelly's pub across the edge of town And I told the boys me story and we had another round
We'll drink, and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink and fight! We'll drink, and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink and fight! And if I see a pretty girl, ill sleep with her tonight! We'll drink, and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink, and drink and fight!
And Mary McGregor, she was a pretty whore She'd always greet you with a smile and never lock her door But on the day she died, all the men in town did weep For Mary McGregor finally got some sleep
Well I once loved a girl, a child I'm told I gave her my heart and she gave me a cold So now I sit standing here out in the pouring rain I'll stumble back to Kelly's pub and cry away me pain
Give me all your fear, Throw it all away. and think about the good things, no matter what they say, we'll take tomorrow baby, yeah, one day at a time.
You just stare into space, you found love but it got erased, you're on the road with all the stoplights, and you're too afraid to turn the wrong from right. You ate your soul and it made ya fat, starve yourself from everything else that makes you completely full. So give me all your fear, throw it all away. Think about the good things, no matter what they say. We'll take tomorrow baby, yeah, one day at a time.
So you run, so you hide, and you watched as they die, they all fell, you could fall too, or you could sew your wings and try to fly right through.
Give me all your fear, throw it all away. Think about the good things, no matter what they say. We'll take tomorrow baby, yeah, One day at a time. One day at a time.

pooooor nick :(
pooooor nick :(
I was thinking the same thing.....
I'm sure he will be well rewarded ;)
Maybe a mock hunt just for him during that time?
When we went to England there were internet cafes everywhere, but none of them would let us upload pictures onto a computer for posting.
somethings you just need to go out and do on your own.
coco -I am sooooo sorry- I wanted to be there tonight-but something at home came up. :(
These Exiled Years
It's four in the mornin'
Battered and numb
A loaded room, an empty gun
I whistle a tune, I heard years before
The clock started tickin'
Where did the time go
I danced to the mornin'
She called out my name
The wind was a howlin'
And down came the rain
Her arms they caressed me
Sweet was her brow
She opened my eyes
To banish the doubt
Wash me down in all of your joy
But don't drag me through this again
I've heard all your sad songs I can hear
It's in with the whiskey and out with the gin
I've heard all your sad songs I can hear
It's another day older
In These Exiled Years
The dew on the ground
Blankets the face
Cold was the night
Gone her embrace
For your land of the free
Now prisons me
To rot in this jail
Of lost liberty
Wash me down in all of your joy
But don't drag me through this again
I've heard all your sad songs I can hear

believe it or not, there are some nice places/area's over on the other side of the river
::covers his ears:: nahhnahhhnahhhnahhnahhnahhnahh
oh wait I'm on the otherside of the river...but I still got "st. paul" in my town's name....
lalalalalalalalalalalala I can't read you I can't read you lalalalalalalalala
right now i'm in st paul and am seriously considering minneapolis. i miss it.
What state is that in again?
we live on the "other" side of the river, but the post office still says we live in st. paul. does that count?
not like i've made any decisions. i don't move til august. :)
it would just make so much more sense for work etc. hrm.
it would just make so much more sense for work etc. hrm.
sounds like u need to find a new job vs. finding a new place. ;)
Just think how much gas money your going to need come next January if you live in that other place.
Thats just one more reason to find it then... ;)
housing is just plain insane now. You basically cannot live on your own.
psshhhht....
thats why I build my own houses....
Refrigerator, and big screen TV boxes rock!
thanks Nick for the childhood memories - pretend houses, club houses and an airplane and even a pirate ship! innocence
that reminds me when I used to play in the backyard: I made roads in the mud (before you could buy electric race tracks) ... and race my cars. And I made a mud pool for my Cher Barbie to sit in.

Times have changed. Now they have Poolside Barbie, and also Teenage Poolboy Ken, with extra durability so you can play with him for hours on end.
since
no body
wants it
I'll take this
