What fun last night! Sounded like about 40 people came out to support Jase and Stacy!
There may be at least one more get together that I am aware of coming up-but I don't know if it has been put together yet or if Zeph will be able to attend...Kitch?
I personally want to thank every single person who has supported them, called them, showed up at the airport, came to the Welcome Home party! This party was about the 2 of them and their kids.

I talked to Zeph about this...it could be a short notice kinda thing...he said his got a ton of things on his "wife's wanna to do list"..
...but he doesn't want a "dull" moment....so he said that something might work...
Well I know I had mentioned maybe having a pizza party at my family's pizza place like maybe Saturday or Sunday? I had told Zeph a while back that I was gonna treat him to some Za :) My mom's totally cool w/it because she wanted 2 meet Zephy too. Haha she's such a geek!
Too bad we couldn't make it Saturday. Sounds like it was a good time! Anyone have photos to share?
It might be fun to hang out at a park, like Crosby or Como or Phalen or something, if Zephy has some free time. But I bet his lovely wife and family would like to have as much Zephy-time as possible!

I'm really really bummed I couldn't make it, I had planned on it and then the whole fire incident happened and took up most of the afternoon/evening.
Glad everyone had a good time and hopefully I get a chance to meet you and shake your hand Zeph. Hope the rest of your time here is relaxing and spent with the ones that mean the most.

ok, since I have said it in passing to a few people over the past couple of months I should probly post it. I didn't think it was a big deal but some people have made it a big deal.
About Zephs cutout and the museum. I had given Jase and Sue the impression (unintentionally)Â that the museum that is open to Winter Carnival memorabilia in the Landmark Center was open all year and owned by the RCHS. It isn't.
They even went there and talked with the couple who ran it about taking Zeph, the guy who runs this museum was all for it. It wasn't until later that I found out what was going on and I told her not to do it. That the RCHS may take him. That this 'museum' at Landmark was only there 2 weeks out of the year and was privately owned and if the couple died I wasnt sure where their collection would go. So they held off.
The nice thing about holding off was that the cutout Zeph got to travel a bit more-The real Zeph actually got to see the cardboard Zeph in person! It was the coolest thing at the airport-it made a woman who worked there CRY! It was nice to have it at the "Thank You Zeph" party.
As far as I knew the jacket and buttons and scarf -anything on this cutout was DONATED no matter where he ends up. I personally request that Zeph get him-and not get a naked cutout but the whole thing. and the cat ;p
Jase and Sues intentions where there and good-I threw the wrench into that mix.
Then I remembered... they really don't give much to this group anyways... in the ways of support, friendship, ideas, help resources or human kindness.
That is complete Bullshit! They ALWAYS give a helping hand and ALWAYS ask how they can help or ask through others how someone is feeling or doing after a rough time! I don't know ANYONE in the Cooler who has held out their hand as much as they have for Coolerheads!
I'd like to thank them for the time and commitment they put into hauling Zeph around to Carnival events. I doubt anyone else would have had the energy or time. I'm just happy I had the opportunity to hang out with them one nice afternoon at Como. I had a blast!
So we're to take Jasons & Sue's word on the matter, but damn what Dan & Steph say? They're liars and are trying to steal money they've collected to ship stuff off to Zeph?

No smoke damage to report, but everything still smells of the smoke in and around the house. Not bad considering what could have been.

Thanks Ares and TC for opening up your home to everyone for this. It was fun and my only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
