what?!?!?! that thing is freekin me out kitch, thanks a lot.

I can't figure it out, is there a solution somewhere?

figured it out, kitch it's an optical illusion. the lines that make up the grid are different widths, and they don't line up the same. so the extra room from the thinner lines adds up to an extra square.

Nice Job TIM!!

you can really tell when you look at the top line of both...the size of the boxes that is "empty" changes when you compare the two....

tim_the_hunter

I used paint, and cut out the squares and then zoomed in comparing the two, that thing was driving me nuts.

None of it is true.
Numbers are euphemistic words.
All things can be reduced to words, or letters.
The letter 'E' is 2.71828, But can be reduced to the letter E.

Ares- I am so sorry that TC has all this respiratory crud.
Reactive airway is a freaky thing all on it's own- but to be combined with the other issues must be heartbreaking.

WeRD!- Have your house checked for mold.
I've no idea who you should call (other than Ghostbusters)
But over the past 4 years, whenever I'm in a school with dust or mold issues, I suffer for several days.
I can always tell if I'm in an affected school, because after 4 or 5 hours my bronchi swell, I usually get a tickle in my throat, my eyes water, and either my nose plugs up, or starts running.
Most of the time, it's mold, or mildew.
Dust is more immediate in causing symptoms.

My best to Sue, and have patience with this, OK?

Kinda strange that we were talking about korean relatives the other day and I mentioned my cousins kid. The same day (only later in the day) I got a family tree update in the mail. The member being updated was my cousins korean adopted kid. (we already had her in there anyways). Weird though. She was 5 months old when she arrived.

well...what a nice day today...

...got a chance to go out for a short bike ride with my daughters...wow that was tricky....I got a chair for Caroline that rides just above the rear seat...(I don't like it-yet--I'm worried about safety) but heck its a lot easier then my trailer for her.....Katie road next to me...

....been kinda bumming day around the house...typical weekend...doing some cleaning.....I didn't want to have a family dinner at my house but I wanted to cook up a bbq brisket...and well since it 10lbs of meat...I don't have much of a choice....

....I thought I'd share how I cooked it...as well...not to make people hungry ...but somebody asked me....

about 2001 or 2002 I became friends with a guy from Hastings that cooks around the country in bbq contests....(mind u this is not the commercialized ones like rib fest)...these guys are 100% better.....

His team name is "turn the heat on"...He gave me the chance to go to a Judging class in Kansas City to become a certified judge...well...I said I wanna cook vs. judging after my first day of judging....I thought heck its a professional party of good cooks...

I got the chance to learn from him, and many other top cooks...one of the guys has won "Jack Daniels Invite"...which is extremely hard!!

anyways I learned fast that I didn't have the $$$ to continue...it become very expensive to buy meat and practice....heck I gave it away for months...ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and beef brisket.
well...to make a long story short...now I just cook for friends and family from time to time.....

I promise someday I'll bring something to an event........(i'm busy this week...so I can't do it for fri)....

....but I FINALLY found a cheap butcher for brisket which just has me giddy!!!!!!

When I can buy 10lbs of meat for $20 I just had to run and get me some for today...normally I'd pay like $35-45...

so today I started smoking the brisket at 7am ....still on the smoker right now...will be done around 5 or 6pm....LOW AND SLOW...

..simple rub of bbq seasonings...apple juice sprayed on every two hours....at 3pm I wrapped it in tin foil as to slow down the amount of mesquite smoke to prevent it from becoming bitter....

...I love to give people a choice of sauce...as I never throw sauces on my meats (anybody who does is HIDING something)...but...I would highly suggest 2 brands...MITCH's (is the bbq joint from 7th)...(too bad they don't cook it there anymore like they used to)....and the other is from "wee willy's" this is from minnesota as well..."wee willy's" can be found in cub and rainbow....

wee willys is winner for "jack daniesl invites and one of the top teams in the country....is the best MINNESOTA team by far.
(too bad they don't have a restaraunt)

We had quite a lot of lightning this way.

I had to sneak out and find a good spot to try and catch a shot.

Not alot of rain here though... just big drops from time to time.

There were reports of hail is some places I hear though.

I love to hear the sound of thunder rumbling.

Unfortunately, during the night, every time we had a good clap of thunder, it was immediately followed by someone's car alarm going off.

Do car alarms really deter thieves? I find myself simply irriated when I hear them going off.

That's the best full house in Texas Hold'em too because it means you are playing the raggiest of rags most likely.

Anywho, I just emailed one of my cousins about sports and the NFL draft because his brother (and my other cousin) might get drafted.  So I went on and on about who might take him, and how if he makes a team we need to go see a pre-season game of theirs and so on and so forth.  Then I discussed the Viking's draft prospects, blah blah blah.  I get a short email back from him saying he's writing from the hospital (I freaked out for a second), and that Alyssa (his wife) and him would be having their baby sometime today probably.  Such a guy thing to do, I completely spaced on the fact that they were due to have their first child, yet I was completely in tune with the fact that the NFL draft is this Saturday.  This is the same guy that I had a 2 hour conversation with at Christmas (almost completely about sports), and then as they were leaving his wife asked if he had told me that they were pregnant (of course he hadn't), we all had a good laugh.
