Anybody rent a DVD from McDonalds yet? Apparently I was the first one on my side of town to rent one. The installers gave me a free one for being first. Kinda cool marketing idea if ya ask me. They only cost $1/day as long as you bring it back by 10:00 the following day. Each day is an additional $1 up to $25/DVD title. You use your credit card to rent them.  It's like a vending machine. The Twin Cities is only the second market to test this out. Denver had a huge reception for them and it looks like if it works here, that there going to go country wide. The kicker is that they get you into McD's more often. Those burger boys sure know their stuff.
I'm guessing that they'll have a promotional period of free DVD rentals just to get people signed up. They have all current titles and new releases. It'll take a few weeks to fill the machines tho.
I'm not promoting it, just letting you know that there's an alternative to the Mr. Movies/Blockbuster monopoly of $4 rentals.
My day of eating was sad. I totally feel like that guy on SuperSize Me. Because of having some 2-4-1 coupons I had 2 Macs and a fry for lunch and just had 2 1/4#ers a fry and sundae with the kid celebrating her last day of soccer. I feel like totally throwing up. I just might so I don't have any of those freaky over full stomach dreams.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww - throwing up McD's is nasty-nothing worse though than throwing up a taco from Taco Hell! the meat comes up all white ---- and lettuce is nasty when it comes back up.
Taco Bravos used to be good at Taco Johns- when they filled the tacos to the brim with lettuce, cheese and tomatos and black olives - tortilla in beans ---mmmmm Not the same anymore....
and potoato oles ROCK!
which reminds me- the sandwiches at McD's are smaller!!!!!!!!
One sad thing I saw with Oceans 12 anyway - They bleep!!
THEY F@#*&(*& bleep!
I hope it's not like buying CD's or DVD's at Walmart! I'll have to see again tomorrow. If so - BAD idea McD's! Although it keeps with the family friendly thing anyway.
I so wanted to crawl back into bed this morning but I've got too much to do, and I'm just not that sick. I would have felt guilty if I had stayed home.
I wish I could give ya some of my energy today THX - I actually got 6 hours of sleep and I'm gettin tons of stuff done already. And with no coffee. Yahoo!
Isn't today just a great day?!?
HAHA - Don't cha love it when bubbly people chime in to ruin your day with their happy cheery one>Â ;-)
Good Job CM!!!! Thats alright I brought the camera today...hopefully I will get some good shots of the movie madness. I just hope it is done by time I have to leave. I am not looking forward to the traffic.  Tommy has his 1st grade program tonight.....I am soooo excited!!
I have a little time at my computer when I can catch up a little on e-mails and forums and other stuff. And the good news is (some of you already know): I now have a job! I work for Laidlaw Transit Servicesin Blaine. I'm a city bus driver in the suburbs of Anoka County. I drive the 805route, the 818route, and the 831route. Those are called "fixed routes." I also drive the "Dial-A-Ride" routes where passengers call in to schedule a ride in advance. We have wheelchair lifts in our buses so we can take those people, too. It is a very convenient way for people who don't drive to go shopping or to a medical appointment. I started training there Monday, March 7 so I have been there a month now. I work 50 or so hours per week so I get some overtime but it takes me an hour to get to work each day and an hour to get home so most of the time I don't have time to play with my computer. I had to work the Saturday before Easter and also Easter Sunday. So that's why I haven't been here very often. Sometimes I use the computer at the Dunn Bros coffee shop in Minneapolis to read e-mail and the cooler. So anyway I'm slowly catching up on my bills and hope to have some more free time sometime soon!

I've been to McDonalds probably once in the last ten years.

Feel better soon THX!!!
