It was the best birthday that I had ever had... outside of the country. It was much better than the one that I had last year at Ft Hood. (Probably because I am a year closer to going home) :)
It is pretty different here... you here IED's and vbIed's all of the time, and you dont blink an eye... But when you can't find your shampoo... watch out!
Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, which lost its crown as the home of the world's biggest burger earlier this year, is now offering a new burger that weighs a whopping 15 pounds.
We went to Howie G's or (something like that)a few years ago, and they offered a 44-46 oz steak for $25. If you could eat it in 30 minutes, you got your next meal free. After about 10 minutes of my buddy egging me on, and saying that he could do it and I couldn't and all of that stuff I succumbed to the occasion and ordered one. Â We were eating, and I had a beer before, and 1 during the meal, and my friend is still egging me on... So I am just eating and chewing, not too fast just consistent. He got about 3/4 of the way through and couldnt finish at about the 17 or 18 minute mark. So I chewed a little faster, and had a few more sipps of beer. Â I finished it at the 20 minute mark, and felt I needed to rub it in a little to my friend. So, I finished Zephs Wifes salad, ate half of her HUGE cheesecake, drank another beer, had 2 pieces of Texas Toast, half of a baked potato, and let it all settle.
I, of course, wasn't thinking of the rest of the evening. We left there (Savage) and went to the Rodeo (used to be Back to the Gold Rush). We started off with a beer, and since I didnt feel too much like moving, I suggested that we play darts for a while. Guess who wanted to dance....
Long story short (too late), I ended up kinda like the dog did...
There is a moral in here somewhere, I think it is that you should not go dancing in Cottage Grove...
oh, and I did dance though, to "I love the way you love me" by John Michael Montgomery...
Memories................thats what will keep ya from over doing it again!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like you could have used that little cozy back room with the fireplace and comfy couches at that point Zeph. You might have needed to step over a few naked people first but you could have had a nice relaxing rest while hanging out at the club. That room was the best. I wonder if they still have it or if they still have that cool light show?
I haven't been there in a while, but we have 3 people here who were there when Toby Keith was recording for the version of "I Love This Bar", with the crowd singing and stuff.... they swear they were on the recording, but I would guess that they would do that kind of thing at a few different places, and take the best crowd... Maybe?

You just ruined my whole perception of you. I figured you were the first in line to try that baby out. It can shoot 3,000-4,000 bullets per minute depending on how it is setup.

about 3 yrs ago at the cabin...one of the dogs ate 18lbs of hamburger in about 15 mins......
