Men At Work

Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,

Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.

Buying bread from a man in brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, do you speak-a my language?
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.

Lying in a den in bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?
And he said,

Oh! do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.

Air Supply  Just As I Am

I’ve had a lot of big dreams
I’ve made a lot of bad moves
I know you could walk away
But you never do

I’ve met a lot of cold hearts
I’ve learned to smile and deceive
I know I’m hard to be around
But you never leave

I’m not easy to understand
But you hold out your hand

And you say you love me
Just as I am
You always treat me
The best that you can
You say you want me, need me
Love me, baby
Just as I am, just as I am

I’ve made a lot of heartaches
I’ve found a lot of closed doors
When all the others turn away
You love me more
You love me more

I’m not easy to understand
But you hold out your hand

And you say you love me
Just as I am
You always treat me
The best that you can
You say you want me, need me
Love me, baby
Just as I am, just as I am

I want to love forever
To keep our world together
And be the best that I can be
Baby, every time the world caves in on me

And you say you love me
Just as I am
You always treat me
The best that you can
You say you want me, need me
Love me, baby
Just as I am, just as I am

SPOKEN: There's an old Australian stockman lying, dying. He gets himself up
onto one elbow and 'e turns to his mates, who are all gathered around and 'e says:

Watch me wallabies feed, mate
Watch me wallabies feed,
They're a dangerous breed, mate
So watch me wallabies feed
Altogether now!

Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down
Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down

Keep me cockatoo cool, Curl,
Keep me cockatoo cool
Ah, don't go acting the fool, Curl
Just keep me cockatoo cool
Altogether now!

Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down
Tie me kangaroo down, sport

Take me koala back
He lives somewhere out on the track, Mac
So take me koala back
Altogether now!

Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down
Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down

Let me abos go loose, Lew
Let me abos go loose
They're of no further use, Lew
So let me abos go loose
Altogether now!

Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down
Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down

And mind me platypus duck, Bill
Mind me platypus duck
Ah, don't let 'im go running amok, Bill
Just mind me platypus duck
Altogether now!

Tie me kangaroo down, sport
Tie me kangaroo down

So we tanned his hide when he died, Clyde
And that's it hangin' on the shed!!

Aruba Jamaica ooh I wanna take ya
Bermuda Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo Montego baby why don't we go
Jamaica

Off the Florida Keys there's a place called Cocomo
that's where you wanna go to get away from it all
bodies in the sand tropical drink melting in your hand
we'll be falling in love to the rhythm of the steel drum band
down in Cocomo

Aruba Jamaica ooh I wanna take ya
Bermuda Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo Montego baby why don't we go
ooh I wanna you down to Cocomo
we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
that's where we wanna go way down in Cocomo
Martinique that Monserrat mystique

We'll put out to sea and we'll perfect our chemistry
by and by we'll defy a little bit of gravity
afternoon delight cocktails and moonlit nights
that dreamy look in your eye give me a tropical contact high
way down in Cocomo

Aruba Jamaica ooh I wanna take ya
Bermuda Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo Montego baby why don't we go
ooh I wanna you down to Cocomo
we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
that's where we wanna go way down in Cocomo
the Port-au-Prince I wanna catch a glimpse
Everybody knows a little place like Cocomo
now if you wanna go to get away from it all
go down to Cocomo

Aruba Jamaica ooh I wanna take ya
Bermuda Bahama come on pretty mama
Key Largo Montego baby why don't we go
ooh I wanna you down to Cocomo
we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
that's where we wanna go way down in Cocomo

Good evening, this is TMK with Part 1 in a series on the vacation status of Cocorosie.  As previously reported here, she has made it safely to Australia.  Yesterday, Coco and her traveling companion Kassi went to the Lone Pine Sanctuary.  There they had the chance to feed kangaroos and wallabies.  Coco also had the opportunity to hold a 1 1/2 year old koala.  She says it was so so cute and that it's fur was so soft, like wool.  She now knows why they sleep so well, being so warm and cozy with their fur.  After returning to their hostel, they went to dine at the Hog's Breath Restaurant.  The food is really good, although no details on what kind of food it was.  That is it for day one from Australia.  Stay tuned for Part 2 in our series, when we find out about the further adventures of Elissa in Australia!

Bundeberg is where we will be for tomorrow and the next two nights and then to Rockhampton for three nights. In Bundeberg we are going out to an island in a glass bottom boat i think to do some snorkeling and beach sittin etc. should be a nice stay. in a hotel and everything. hostels are nice but i could use a shower without a buddy right in the stall next to me taking a dump or a "poo" as the aussie's would say er something.  ;)

my brother went there and said he really enjoyed the glass bottom boat. He didn't like the snorkeling though. He said the abundant species of exotic fishlife scared the crap out of him. Enjoy your trip!

well i'm now in a little internet cafe waiting for our train to rockhampton. first night in bundeberg we actually were in Bargara. a little seaside town resort thingy. reminded me on naples. but it was so nice and quiet. the whole beach to ourselves.  we didn't end up going out to lady musgrove island because it was really windy and rainy. so we went into town and shopped around and spent a lot of time on the beach in the rain! it was awesome. there was this little basin built right next to the beach that was stinger and shark free. hehe. so we swam in that and brought crackers to feed these little reef fish. we would put some crackers in the water with no fish around and then in seconds there were hundreds of them swarming us. eating the crackers and maybe taking a new nibbles of out legs. but it didn't hurt. when we were walking back to our resort there was a huge rainbow covering the whole sky. made me think of someone!

then we stayed in and played trivia at the resort with all the old folks that were staying there it was actually quite fun and kassi and i came in third out of 3 groups! we rocked the house! i love sucking at trivia! miss you all! but not too much.  ;)  sunshine and beach makes MN hard to miss, but i do.

p.s. did i tell you kassi got slightly attacked by kangaroos at that sanctuary we were at. she is a little bruised but i did have a good laugh at it. ;)

oh yeah and the train rides are pretty awesome. food and movies and lots of room to move around...much better than the plane rides!

we got to watchh two weeks notice. i love sandra bullock and hugh grant!

WE GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS PLACE

(Weil/Mann)

In this dirty old part of the city
Where the sun refused to shine
People tell me there ain't no use in tryin'

Now my girl you're so young and pretty
And one thing I know is true
You'll be dead before your time is due, I know

Watch my daddy in bed a-dyin'
Watched his hair been turnin' grey
He's been workin' and slavin' his life away
Oh yes I know it

(Yeah!) He's been workin' so hard
(Yeah!) I've been workin' too, baby
(Yeah!) Every night and day
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)

We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
'cause girl, there's a better life for me and you

Now my girl you're so young and pretty
And one thing I know is true, yeah
You'll be dead before your time is due, I know it

Watch my daddy in bed a-dyin'
Watched his hair been turnin' grey, yeah
He's been workin' and slavin' his life away
I know he's been workin' so hard

(Yeah!) I've been workin' too, baby
(Yeah!) Every day baby
(Yeah!) Whoa!
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)

We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
Girl, there's a better life for me and you
Somewhere baby, somehow I know it

We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
Girl, there's a better life for me and you
Believe me baby
I know it baby
You know it too
