theres a bike trail from there that goes to red-wing.... its a real nice ride....
did that with one of my uncles a couple summers ago... rode from here on the east side, to mounds park, and took the trail there as far as it goes down 61 (prior to all the construction), and then rode the shoulder, in through hastings, to cannon falls and took the trail from there....
If i remember right, I think we measured it out to be like 60 miles?? not sure... we prepared for it though... taking a buncha long rides, prior to that... I think my uncle was ready to die though... heh...
My mom and aunt came to pick us up in Red Wing with their truck, cause there was no way we were gonna try and ride back.
Yeah... it was long, and it was super-hot that day, too... we both ran out of water, a buncha times, and had to stop to re-fill.... which also reminds me... theres some nice, cute little mom-and-pop sub-sandwich shop.... I forget what its called, right in Cannon Falls too...
Found out about the peoplesforum site last week, when it was down, from the boards at twincities.com, glad Ive made it here, and found people that share this interest with me! Looking forward to chatting on here! :smile:
My daughter invited her Dad to go with her to church and then took him back to her apartment and made a nice breakfast for him. I thought that was sweet.
We spent the afternoon over at my nephew's for his graduation party. Luckily there is a huge maple tree in the front yard so we could sit in the shade and there was a nice breeze that went through too.
Yesterday we headed west to visit Inks' folks and celebrate Father's Day with his step-dad. The drive up and back is tiring in one day, and the emotional stuff makes it even more so. I hope Inks' Mother still recognizes Brian when he comes home in a few weeks. I'm doubting that will happen though.
Next weekend we're heading north and doing nothing if we don't want to.

Reason I bring this up is, I saw Mikey said he paid for a folder.
This is good, but yet we haven't figured out all the details of how we want to run the ship around here.
We've been talking about what to do with "Personal" folders. Reason is, as you probably know, the Cooler Crew was one of the busier places over at PeoplesForum. We just want to make sure we do what's fair to both Coolerheads, and Mark at AbleMinds.
To be honest with you, we don't know what fair is at this point.
So, thanks Mikey for what you did, but I would say to anyone else, hold off until we figure out what we want to do.
I will tell you that we're leaning towards having all personal folders be at the "Members Folder" level, and we'll link to those folders from here. We think that it would just be easier as far as separating the "Cooler Crew" folders from "personal" folders. Not because we want to exclude anyone from the Coolerhead threads, but because it's easier for Mark to keep track of that way.
Actually, we're just guessing on that at this point, we're not sure.
Like I said, we haven't figured it all out yet, but we are discussing it and will eventually figure it all out.
We'll let you all know when that happens.

Okay, back from the White Bear Lake Hunt. I know Yost is the right park, fits all the clues perfectly. What I don't know is where the heck they hid the darned thing. Didn't see mucky there, nor any other of the crew, but then again, it's father's day. There was one family out looking, but they appeared to be locals, and not terribly experienced hunters. Old broom handle with a spike driven in the one end works super.
My neighbor made one for me years ago when we had lots and lots of used condoms on the street just about every morning. Thank goodness those days are over.
