Does anyone know much history on the Oakdale Hunt?
One thing I guess I don't know is what parks it's been in except for last years. Wonder if someone at the City Hall has records of the past hunts... hmm.
"Having a Ball In So. St. Paul" is the theme of this years celebration. If you're thinking of a dance, the street dance is at the Vet's Club parking lot. When I saw wall, I thought of Wakota Parking lot. Do the rules say it has to be in a park?
Maybe there aren't any rules. Guess I've never seen them either. It would have sucked if you had found it at Summit. I was over there all day yesterday and it would probably have been placed already.
down by the riverwalk....the part where you walk over the railroad...that big long spril thingy...geez that would suck as its a tenth of a mile long (how I know this? geocaching)
Have you been down to the boat ramp lately? It's all messed up with the bridge construction. One way under the viaduct and kind of dangerous with the big trucks. Don't think they'd put it there.
I just talked with my mom like 10 mins ago... she lives in Eagan... right when she called, the sirens were going off....
getting black here... and thundering like crazy... im in the basement, and i can hear the windows rattling upstairs.... sounds like one of them ghetto gangster SUV's with the big speakers in them, driving by every 3 seconds.
that's because back in the 80s, there was a severe t-storm in dakota county that suddenly spawned a tornado that killed kids. so now they sound the sirens if someone sustains a powerful fart for long enough. its the only county in the state to do it. which sucks for new residents of the county who are used to only hearing them for tornadic activity.
they live right on a golf course too... she said she could hear the loud-speaker telling the golfers to take cover, and then she saw a bunch of them running like crazy...
I imagined it like when Godzilla strikes the city and people are fleeing for their lives...
eh, I'd get one of the new NOAA weather radios with the SAME feature, that way you enter your zip code and only receive warnings specific to your area.
As for the storm, I got pics. Will post em tonight. Quite impressive if short lived. I haven't seen skies that green in quite some time.
awww crap... I have one, doubles as a FRS base radio. Kinda a cool thing to have, but mine doesn't have the SAME option. Ah well, I'm interested enough in the weather to hear about other warnings anyway.
So.. will this have cleared up enough that I can go hunt the white bear lake medallion after work? hmm...
seconded. only thing i'm doing over at pf is collecting posts from the stragglers.
R U in need of cheap A/C...i'd just hook up a hose to my kitchen faucet if it was me..
ummm...WBL hunt is still going on..
clue at 651-653-2510
I'm wondering on the modus operandi and 2 damsels and a guy named Randy....

I heard it ..and thought what is in the park that I don't know about....
an "x-rated hunt...way cool"
wooohoooo
no more 'you rule' :frown:
I'd prefer it if it told me the truth, and said "Leave now, forum user Wicked Nick! You suck!"
and that would just be being nice about it.
Oakdale Hunt Clue #1
Now in its sixth year,
The medallion hunt is on again.
But some simple changes have been made,
From how it's always been.
You probably know by now,
There's no need to swim, dig, or climb.
But now there are seven days of clues, not 12,
And they'll be revealed earlier in time.
Tomorrow morning and each thereafter at 7,
The clues will become known to you.
This will improve the flow of information.
Plus, it's fun to try something new!
Hmm... all I get is maybe it's a new park, or one they haven't used in a hunt before...
One thing I guess I don't know is what parks it's been in except for last years. Wonder if someone at the City Hall has records of the past hunts... hmm.
Our button is so small it could fit on a wall.
So you don't have to look too tall.
We are having a ball,
in south st. paul.
at first I thought ball meaning sports..
but what about a dance..that brings back in kaposia park...
I thought about wakota as well...
...
I already checked the little wall at Summit park...
It's about to hit DT MPLS.
Looks really nasty.
I forgot all about one big sucky wall...
down by the riverwalk....the part where you walk over the railroad...that big long spril thingy...geez that would suck as its a tenth of a mile long (how I know this? geocaching)
Welcome KelKel - Nice to see a fresh face. Although the faces I see around here are some of the freshest you can see anywhere.
I'm all over that SSP hunt. I have two places to check then I'll start to post. They're small places otherwise I'd blab now.
Thanks for mentioning about the storm. I don't have any windows here and can't wait to go outside. Later all.

scared golfers... hahahahaha....
