I bet it's kind of wet down there. Wouldn't be surprised it didn't wash away if it was there. We lived on the north end years ago when 19th Avenue was washed out.
Hey Kitch - I plan on parking right by where that picture was taken tomorrow. There is a stone wall to the right of that bridge as you come from the southeast lot. That's where I plan to start.
And I'm not avoiding you. I seen a 'new message' lit up on other threads but not these ones. Where is it?
I think the "sterncontrollers" are mostly here for our safety...
I'm here during the day....
OTiS is the night owl.
Ares...is the html and computer geek
TMK is the quiet posting guy that you see online all the time...
Terry is knowledgeable on history of the CC's
CM is online a lot at during the dinner hours...
but I think I can speak for most of us that we will not step in unless "trolling or swearing up a storm" (for the most part). I don't think the people chosen by THX was meant to be a slam against anybody...I think he was looking for all parts of the clue and fair people...but again this is my opionion...
sleep??? Wutz that??? LOL I don't sleep much any more. I can't get comfy :frown: I'm not used to sleeping on my left side.. and it just kills my back, but my midwife says I HAVE to... blah!
We lost the power for about 2 hours. My kids were kinda funny about it. I had the modem hooked up to a back-up power supply and was still surfing the web while people in the building were in the dark.
Then we went out to get pictures and check the damage.
That one tree I posted in the pic spot fell on top of a two inch water main. It was a mess I tell you. There was a guy there who thought I worked for the press when I was taking pics and sending them to stations around town on the laptop lol. He kept trying to get in the pictures and was asking when these would be shown on tv or posted in the paper.
There was also a section of our Comcast plant damage by the tree so I was giving the Maintenance techs some first hand info.
I was at work when the storms rolled thru, u could see it coming. My desk is right by the window over looking 5th st. it was as dark as night out there!! Then the winds came, the little trees downtown were all bent over, stuff was blowing all over the place, people were blowing all over the place. It was crazy!
Dawg called the gang task force today to see what we could do about the gangsta problem we are having with the neighbors, they want us to writ down license #'s and to keep a diary of all drug activity. And they asked if a detective could sit in our house and watch on some Saturday night. I think I will send Dawg and bella to her mom and dad's on that night. :worried:
ESD - We went through all that some years back when there was drug dealing going on in a house across the alley. Wrote license numbers down, kept a log of the traffic, types of cars, all that.
They did stake out the house and shortly afterwards, no more drug dealing out of that house.
One thing you might want to do is if you are friendly with other neighbors who are also concerned, you can do it together. That's what we did and it worked out very well. When we couldn't get a license number, it seemed that someone else did. It also helped that we weren't the only ones keeping tabs so they couldn't point their fingers at any one of us.
I also hit a bunch of SSP parks tonight with no luck. I couldn't get to that main park where I think you biked to because of the construction in what was the parking lot. If tomorrows clue says anything about water I'm all over there. I looked under so many bleachers tonight that I know that I'll build that mirror thing that Cathy Hogan had if anything even close to a bleacher is mentioned.
I honked outside your place tonight OT - You hear me? Boy was SSP a mess. I thought my forest of a yard would have tons of downed tree when I got home but luckily there was only one 6" thick branch that was hanging. And that was right over my brush pile from pruning this past weekend anyway. Bonus.
no luck in White Bear tonight. Gotta switch over to Oakdale unless some clue hits me hard on the WBL one. One other family out at the park again, rakes came out and they were at it (course so was I). If that thing is in the park they're making it out to be, it's hidden VERY well.
Ya that's what dawg is setting up this week seems the whole block is up in arms about these people. It's like they are trying to bring North Mpls. to the east side.
Sorry CM. I was dead to the world by 10:30 last night.
I was just looking at the events calendar for Kaposia Days and see the 2nd Annual Community Hokey-Pokey is scheduled for Sunday evening. How did I miss the first one!!
I had the modem hooked up to a back-up power supply and was still surfing the web while people in the building were in the dark.
ain't ups's great? i've got a pair of them that give us about an hour of run-time on all the computer equipment before it all goes to sleep. i want one of these babies, though
esd, my folks had that problem with a rental place down the street several years back. the cops told us to do the same thing. worked great!
didnt I just mention that park to you yesterday in an e-gram?
I think I should just give up on hunting, for good... im always either in the right park too early, and on top of the thing 3 or 4 times, without finding it.... which is seemingly always the case for the winter carnival hunt......
and these small hunts..... it seems i can either make it to the right park, or atleast someplace near to it but evidentlly not til the day its found, or the day after....as was the case yesterday
Didn't get much information from the cashier at Pro when I went to get the clue. She said it had been found last night at Kaposia but didn't know where in the park. I asked if she knew who found it and she said the same person who found it the past two years!! lol So I asked a few more questions and it turns out it was a woman and her kids who found it two years ago, but not last year! So I asked if she had clue 2 so I could just see what it said and she said no. Oh well. We might have been reading too much into "wall". Maybe it was put in the clue just because it rhymes with ball. Maybe we'll never know.
I don't think ball meant anything other than the theme this year is Having a Ball In South St. Paul. So I guess I don't know if there were any hard clues in that first clue. Maybe we should invite that women into the Crew. Looks like she has good instincts.
I wonder if they would put them on these...
bwwwwaaaahh!!! geez....guess i'll see him 2mrw at ProPharm
And I'm not avoiding you. I seen a 'new message' lit up on other threads but not these ones. Where is it?

Then we went out to get pictures and check the damage.
