Well WBL hunt is over. Wonder if Kitch of Mucluck found it? I certainly didn't.... and it was in Yost park. Sheesh and I spent 2 days (well not whole days, but a few hours each day) going over that whole place.
hey, ot, what's your daughter's boyfriend's name that works for abra? i had a guy from there fix a chip in our windshield today who went to south st. paul.
ares, Abby's boy friend works at City Auto Glass. Did you get this guys name though? There are a couple of guys who once worked at City Auto who now work for Abra. Should have called City.
aaa jeeze.. and I looked all over those woods too. What's worse is it always seems that the finder just walks out and picks the darned thing up.... It's almost insulting to the people that put in a real effort.
ot, i figured i'd let the insurance co set the thing up. after all, no deductible for me on it, so they have to pay for any consequential and incidental damage to the windshield in the future anyway
- I went to the ssp at 8:45 thismorning to find out it was found :frown: then Muck was headed to WBL at 10 to find out it was found .... :frown: I drove my truck to Tires Plus cause my 'service engine' light has been on and it shakes at about 45 mph :frown: -got a nail in a tire and it needs an oil change! I waited on Robert St for a bus to take me downtown to work ...no schedule for the bus, don't know how much a bus ride costs and hopes as long as the bus drives North that I will make it downtown ;p ...... I AM NOT A GOOD BUS RIDER!
Got downtown and Muck picked me up, we drove out to meet Kitch at Oakdale -hunted in a dress and barefoot, ate m&m's ....then headed to the bar! Bloody Marys! Now I am back at work.

It's not always what it seems either. It's kinda like hearing how someone just put in $2 for one pull tab and walked away with $800. Or just going to one park and spending less than 3 minutes to pick up the SSP medallion. Both happened to me but there is quite a bit of history behind each of them. Anytime someone older finds something, I just have to give them the benefit of doubt that they put in their time somewhere along the line. It does piss one off tho when it's not them after knowing you put in more time and effort.
bwwwaaah.......I missed u by secs.......the milk guy was there...I told the girl to put up a "its been found sign" as some lady would be in to ask her all kinds of ????'s if she didn't...
how someone just put in $2 for one pull tab and walked away with $800.
Thats funny- when we were at the 'Beirstube' thismorning I walked past the pull tabs thinking I should just buy 1! and the thought of winning went through my mind - but I didn't have time to wait in line cause Kitch was changing clothes in Mucks van ;p
Haha! But I beat you there, Kitch. I walked in the door with the Polka Dot guy. We got there at the same time. She didn't tell you the lady with all the questions had just left??
Well where the heck were you then?? I followed that truck from Sabreen's and had to wait for him to maneuver in front of the door before parking. Were you shopping at the back of the store? He held the door for me.
Boy - Both of you must be blind. Kitch was staring right at me when I held the door for you. You both didn't say a thing. How rude. Maybe it was because I was wearing my polka dot outfit that threw you off. Oh well.
heck I spent a good chunk of time looking for the WBL one... Didn't drink anything. Guess ya just gotta tear the entire park up to find the thing... Or basically it's just all luck...
I'm considering using part of my website space to host information about all the local area medallion hunts, archiving clues, past locations, park information for those cities. Considering most local hunts seem to still mention their past hunts in their clues, but don't bother to post the information anywhere, this could be valuable in the future.
This would allow me to control the format a bit more than hosting it in here or burdening the coolercrew.com site or anywhere with the info (not to mention fitting it into those formats). Once this rash of hunts finishes up, I'll get started. If anyone has information that would be valuable to this endeavor, please contact me. I'll make the website known and available to anyone interested in it, but for google's sake, I'm going to keep it in a private folder on my site so it won't be referenced or searched.
Ian, anyone? where is the Minnesota Madness thread? looking for the info of the Roseville hunt and parade. and I also am looking for the info on Oakdale.
We're off to see Batman.
Ah well, on to Oakdale
ssp--hunted 3 parks before found out it was already picked up.
wbl-hunted in the park, went to get the clue, got the clue, saw the medallion, went to oakdale.
oakdale-hunted in what I think is right park, then went with mucky and me2 to beirstube.
beerstube-had 2beers with a sammy.
all b4 noon.
about 2.5 inches across..skinny but wide...
was covered in white modeling clay with dirt smashed into it...was in the woods...
the ladys that found it were only in the woods about 10 mins.
I was told that there is 2 girls that have found it 4/5 yrs...I've got a hunch they did it again.
Got downtown and Muck picked me up, we drove out to meet Kitch at Oakdale -hunted in a dress and barefoot, ate m&m's ....then headed to the bar! Bloody Marys! Now I am back at work.
Kitch? What can you teach me today? ;P

To check this board before even going out. I'm glad I was my usual late today.
I can see my self in 40yrs...reading the St. Paul paper...telling my grandkids where to go look and pick it up.
