You're telling me, if all these hunts are lined up within 2 weeks time, I'm thinkin 2 weeks off to get out and hunt ought to be well worth it. I'm convinced now I just need more time to look. BTW it's 8:45, why the heck am I still at work?
Back from Richard Walton park... looked for an hour or so, then some after dark. Checked a lot of spots that would've made sense to their hiding method of last year. Think I'll try and get up early, grab the clue and head out for a little search before work.
I'm considering using part of my website space to host information about all the local area medallion hunts, archiving clues, past locations, park information for those cities. Considering most local hunts seem to still mention their past hunts in their clues, but don't bother to post the information anywhere, this could be valuable in the future.
This would allow me to control the format a bit more than hosting it in here or burdening the coolercrew.com site or anywhere with the info (not to mention fitting it into those formats). Once this rash of hunts finishes up, I'll get started. If anyone has information that would be valuable to this endeavor, please contact me. I'll make the website known and available to anyone interested in it, but for google's sake, I'm going to keep it in a private folder on my site so it won't be referenced or searched.
actually, kc, that's something i've had on my mind since i started doing the scripting work for the coolercrew.com site; i designed multiple annual hunts into the database schema. now if only i could find that schema script since theres a couple of changes i want to make to it :smile:. and seeing as how its used less than a day's worth of bandwidth since i started tracking it in february, its not that much of a burden on the site.

well that's cool too, I'd just like someplace to store all these small hunts and their clues and locations. At this point I'm guessing it's going to take some serious research to get the previous year's clues, if anyone even has them.

Now I'm at work thinking over the clue.

I'm thinking there must be an area that's been recently built up, landscaped, or something, and another area that's overgrown or been cleared of something. Gotta look at some views of the park.
I'm guessing if you contacted the right people, they might be able to get you explanations. Apparently the clue writers at least are privy to the old information...

Kitch and Muck and I were talking about going back out tonight since he can't in the morning -so maybe we will see you out there. Muck and I will be back definately in the morning for a bit. I have a researcher at 10 that I am trying to get out of -so won't have to be in til 1 pm :smile: especially if it stays this nice out!!!

Okay, I got the 1991 aerial shot and a 2002 or 2004 satellite shot of walton park, there have been a few changes in the park since 91, softball fields weren't defined in 91, football field wasn't there, and there's a new parking lot north of the ballfields I'm going to check out after work. It's possible that's part of the public utilities though...
Either way, look for me out there tonight after 7, I'll have printouts of the clues and aerials. My best guess at this point is it's some area that has changed.
what is the mesh there and the specialized sport? is that the park with the archery? Can you see the fireworks from there? I was so looking forward to getting out some more---geeesh -can't keep up! Any other hunt going on right now or do I have to wait til Roseville?
specialized sport at tower park is a water slide, and a large sledding hill in the winter. I haven't even been to that park before. Hey Ian, are ya gonna get some caches out in oakdale? I found a few good spots at walton.
