still no idea on where to buy a rosefest button, but I'm sure city hall is sellin em, so I'll drop by in the morning, want to make sure I have the sucker registered before the deadline.
well at least Saturday will be cooler, I'm headed up to St. Cloud for a caching event, then makin my way back here for another caching event. with any luck, I'll put a dent in my find count, get close to that 1,000th.
hmm.. I've seen ducks up by st. anthony heritage trail, lot of em. Doesn't mean much though I suppose. Anyone figure out that UTM question? I barely use that coordinate system.
Good to see the CC has survived another site going down.
Does anyone from the crew play disc golf, because I seem to remember that Brad does but maybe I made that up. Anyways I just started playing and wanted to know if some regular players wanted to go sometime. Let me know.
HF was fun thismorning -ran into Ian, another guy, Kitch and JT --- see you later -gotta go sit in a room with no windows for 2 hours :frown: but out of this humidity -
I frisbee golf Tim, not as much as I would like, or have in the past. I'm sure we could get a little group, CM included, out to hit the chains sometime.
Yeah, I go discin' once in awhile Tim. Reg, M2K & Nick sounded like they wanted to too. I have a grad party on Saturday but am open Sunday as far as I know. Kaposia is back to 18 pins and all on top now. Unfortunately, the famous #14 is out.
It was the best hole known in the upper midwest because of it's design.
You would throw over a valley to the other side where the basket was. If you were off even a little, it was bad. But when you were on, it rocked! It was called George's George after the guy who helped design the course. They have disc's and T-shirts made up with that basket on them. I have one too.
JT - You'll have to ask Kitch who my avatar guy is. Or anyone else up for a challenge.
(not pro's in hidden falls like us...)
if it is hiddenfalls we just need to narrow it down a bit...
Anyone know where to get a rosefest button for the roseville hunt?
I'll go down to Hidden Falls tomorrow morning if anyone is up to it!

bwwwahh...I'm fast...
doesn't look like they're doing a hunt this summer. http://www.ci.apple-valley.mn.us/Parks/Special_events_and_celebrations/Freedom_Days/main.html (they did one in february for the mid-winter fest).
Welcome. My goal is to help someone be FTF. Good luck. More ideas...
Coordinates are likely to be revealed sometime Saturday. No guarantees.
There might be clues to a more definitive time. Maybe.
Clinch can mean either bending down the end of a nail or pin to fasten
it, or nautically, to secure something with a rope and half-hitch.
I've got a feeling something is hidden, not in the bushes, but tied to a
rope near the water.
Maybe it isn't that magnetic hide-a-key that I'm obsessed with. Maybe
it's the cache itself. It's tan colored, which some might say is kind of
a "gold" color. Probably not, though.
"Hidden" (Falls) was only one clue. There's also "saint. Anthony"
(Falls).
"duck" tape also hasn't been solved. Any areas in the parks where ducks
congregate?
And the UTM bonus clue is unsolved. Taken literally, we need to find a
waypoint to figure an offset from. That I-90 was a mistake (should have
been I-94). Could "90" be one half of the pair of UTM offsets? But where
is the origin? Or maybe we shouldn't take the clue so literally.
Now for one of those coincidences... "Snatch" was a 2000 movie,
starring Alan Ford. Many of the same actors also appeared in "Lock,
Stock and Two Smoking Barrels".

and add yyE."
Subtract xxN means go south.
Add yyE means go east.
its 99 meters south and 99 meters east..
will create about a .1mile square area to look.
I think it won't be near the turbine. Paul A.
warned us to keep away, too.
One of the clues was a journal title ("Wagon Train to the North"). Any
trains nearby -- tracks, bridges, tunnels, whatever?
I like this scout he's got good noodling skills.

whats it famous for?
