It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

I'm taking a poll ---- how many of you are at work right now like me?
I think Balloffire may be right, to some extent. Personally, I am feeling a little burned-out myself. Part of me almost hopes someone finds the thing already because
now that I am so into this hunt I just can't let it go. And I hate having to work today . . . and tomorrow if this goes on that long!
Downloaded a satellite photo of Conway from microsofts terraserver site taken in April '91. A lot of features of the park look the same. Tennis court and baseball
diamonds look to be in the same position. Check out: Satellite photo of Conway from Microsoft's terraserver site taken in April '91 if you're interested...

I have not found a single clue yet except for the last that actually told me anything except that it is hid in conway..maybe I am just not understanding though
When I was out there yesterday,it was pretty hacked up.They are going to need alot of grass seed or sod to repair the ground. I was by one of the ice rinks. Are
Okay, settle an argument. When does the medallion have to be found? I say tomorrow at Midnight. My girlfriend says that since they say Thursday at midnight, that
would be tonight. Because when it's midnight, it's Thursday. Any answers?
I don't want to give it away, but there were a couple messages from some people who are out digging or sleeping now that seemed to have it right. I think, the
'frozen places of equal size' is a play on words and it's not really actual things like hockey rinks, tennis courts. Think global, as in a globe of the earth. Do you see to
Hey the greens, no wonder it was a little slow. I was doing the same thing just a few minutes ago.
My theory last night was to find a spot where none of the visual clues could be seen (and thus be an iconoclast). It didn't work, but at least I got to move some nice
I think the 'two frozen places' are 'poles', as in the north and south pole. But, since I've not been to the park and probably will not get to go dig, I have no idea where
poles might be and where exactly to look. Tonight's clue will give us that.
HEy Pat, are we going to get together tonight again, if the madness isn't stopped before then? I still think that iconoclast means that its in a park it hasn't been before.
Well, it is for $10,000 this year so they're not doing us any favors. Based on clue 10 I don't see how it could be any park other than Conway though...keep looking
for those poles. Maybe they're flag poles or something? Don't know, haven't been there. :-(
Question to those digging? I didn't get to go yesterday- how much of the field has been gone through. Is it a mess? Just thinking on a differant idea for the north south
1- Yes, I'm at work, barely working 2- Hunt ends midnight of thursday, last clue comes out tonight, and we'd have more than a half an hour to find it wouldn't we!
Tonight the clue will narrow it down to pretty much the exact location. It is probably located between the two poles but in relation to something else.
I've been there before/during/and after work!! My back is aching to much to go out during lunch today though!! Good luck to all you hunting to day ...hope one of
ok at the beginning of the clues they made it pretty evident don't you think that it is at conway so......do you think that clue that gave conway as a name....might mean
Tim - do you really think they'd expect us to have to get a satellite photo to find the darn thing! Ha ha. Good angle though, but I think the focus is a little more narrow
at this point.
Noelle - that's the theory that we're all thinking at this point, about the poles. Just need to find which poles at the park.
Anyone know anyone working at the Department of the Defense, maybe we could get them to fly a satellite over today and find the medallion for us....let's put

lol..tim I think you mean the shovel would be back
I'm somewhat working! Taking Care of the kiddies!
<<<not working but am too frustrated to just go dig anymore

If I was anywhere but work right now I would be at Conway.
the greens is en fuego! wow!
I have not found a single clue yet except for the last that actually told me anything except that it is hid in conway..maybe I am just not understanding though
I am at work, but am I really "working"
When I was out there yesterday,it was pretty hacked up.They are going to need alot of grass seed or sod to repair the ground. I was by one of the ice rinks. Are
they tore up bad?

frozen things of equal size?
Thanks for the Satellite photo, I am printing it now, looks interesting.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one at work not really working.
Pally, you're right. They will give out the last clue tonight and you have until tomorrow, Thursday, at midnight to find it.
Pally, 12am Friday; which means midnight tomorrow (Thurs) nite

My theory last night was to find a spot where none of the visual clues could be seen (and thus be an iconoclast). It didn't work, but at least I got to move some nice
easy snow.
Kris - I'm with you! At home trying to catch up on lost sleep!
Whoelse is keeping the cell phone companies in business this week? I need that $10,000 just to payoff my next bill!
the greens - Excellent image of Conway, thanks for the info.
The prize is hidden between two poles the north light "pole" and the south light "pole"
what do you mean ca?
Right on, Steven. Either that, or it's taped to the top of them or something.
The last clue said to look for two frozen places.
There is quite a distance between these two poles
I stood and dug and dug and dug and dug etc. inbetween those damn poles
I think the 'two frozen places' are 'poles', as in the north and south pole. But, since I've not been to the park and probably will not get to go dig, I have no idea where
poles might be and where exactly to look. Tonight's clue will give us that.

ughhhhh...doesn't it seem weird that this seems to be only clue to guide us on where to start digging?there has to be something that we are missing...
Look everyone, conway is torn to shreds, i really dont think its there
It's there, you just have to keep looking.
notice in the satellite two circular areas of equal size
Just a hunch....two frozen PLACES (NORTH POLE & SOUTH POLE) Now just find the right pole and jump on it!! (with your shovel of course)!!
Let me know what you think of that idea.
I would start in the middle.....aMID is a word in the clues. Yes I am at work too. My patients are helping me with the clues.
hmmm.... good throey on the poles though....

you finds it to put me out of my misery! :-)

conway ave.?

Noelle - that's the theory that we're all thinking at this point, about the poles. Just need to find which poles at the park.
Of course the amount of trampled down snow and ice may make it near immpossible to find it. It may not even be in the same spot anymore.
I'm done working at 12 and am heading over. I will search out the poles and report back
I would think it would be the largest poles in the park, hence the light poles.
Was there till 3AM last night.... Have ahunch.....!!!!!!!
The prize is always hidden somewhere that is somewhat verifiable. It always has some kind of reference point to locate it.
Stallion - the last clue comes out tonight (Wed.) at 11:30 p.m., so you have until Thursday night at midnight, 23 1/2 hours, to find it.
I know where there are 2 poles and at that spot you can clearly see only one translucent peak and the water tower and the 3m sign but ughhhh
Anyone know anyone working at the Department of the Defense, maybe we could get them to fly a satellite over today and find the medallion for us....let's put
technology to work....hehehehehe
