What about Funny man Norm Crosby?

I was at Conway digging Monday and Tuesday night and had a thought... These poor kids!!! All the kids who "hang out" and play at Conway... Their park is now

so crowded and torn apart... I started thinking that perhaps Pioneer Press should donate money to Conway after all this is done so they can put their park back in

order!!!! I also decided, if I should find it (I know, a long shot), that I would donate probbably $1000 of the prize to Conway for "pain and suffering".... Don't get

me wrong, I love the hunt!!! Just thinking of the kids here.... If Conway has to use some of it's money to fix the park, it is the kids who will loose out on new

uniforms, equipment, etc...

I think that if there if there is a grill in the park I would look by it. The PP have used double entendre before and I think that not only did the line of trees refer to

WoodRow but also to a barbeque grill. A line of trees could also be called an ArborQueue

ice rinks was my 1st guess.... but they are NOT equal in size

jimt - the 'two frozen places of equal size' are at Conway, it's just not what you think. It's not hockey rinks or tennis courts. It's more of a puzzle than that. Think of a

place you could visit for a 'frozen place'.

For all of you youngsters out there, there IS a comedian named Norm Crosby, 1960'S, if you'd care to pursue this line of insanity.

Are the Softball Diamonds of equal size?? They would be frozen because of winter....any thoughts????

Too bad the clue says it is one person's first name and young person's last name---

Yes they are---but there are three of them---just like the ice rinks

hey there Get Real- It may be insanity to try and come up with a differant sight, however in my opinion it is just as insaine to still think that it is at conway with the

300+ people there and know one finding it yet!!! It is complete choas out there!!!!!!!!

I THINK SOMEONE FOUND IT AND IS OUT THERE WATCHING ALL OF US---AND SAYING LOOK AT ALL THOSE FOOLS.

Missy, here's clue 10 for you. No mention of 'young' person. Clue 10 What's in a name is today's little game; As a pointer it could be unsurpassed. Two men share it

one and the same; A crooner goes first and a funny man last.

yes softball diamonds are all the same size, just another thought what about the pitching mounds?? There could be a tie into the round, white, and wrapped tight...?

You guys are way off base when you're thinking the 'frozen places' are frozen lakes, or hockey rinks, etc. Think of some place you could visit - not a place at the

park...use logic because it's a play on words. Need more hints?

What about the poles? North Pole and South Pole. So, look for two poles at the park. It's just a thought, but a few other people have had the same thought.

I haven't been to the park, so I don't know which poles where...but it might help someone who's been there. I think tonight's clue will tell us the exact spot and then it

will be a mad dash to that spot.

Well...just got back from conway! Was digging between two poles. (As in North/South poles) and this weird guy stands almost shoulder to shoulder with me while

i'm digging...kinda weird. And not to safe for him either!! Never stand too close to someone with no sleep, pms and a hoe in their hand!!

I think clue 7 refers to a line of trees as a 'wood row', as in Woodrow Wilson and there's a Wilson Street bordering the park.

Noelle, are there lots of poles out there? I think tonight's clue will tell us exactly which poles. Someone said there's a water fountain shaped like a 4 at the park and

they were going out again to look for the poles by the fountain.

Anyone else have any thoughts about #8? All I do know for sure is that if it is at conway I hope it is found really soon. I have family out there and they are having

tons of problems due to this choas>>>>>

Another thing for all of those diggers out there(destroying Conway) There is not reson you have to dig down below the grass!! I don't think that the purpose of this

adventure is to completely destroy a childrens rec. area!!!!!

Wed, 02/03/1999 - 1:03 PM Permalink

I agree Balloffire, I walked up to some individuals digging into the dirt in the playground, and they had dug a huge area!.. and explained to them it wasn't

UNDERGROUND... they stopped.

Here is clue #7

Somewhere in here there's a clue quite clear If you think first of trees in a line From this a name will appear That could lead you to a valuable sign

When I was out at Conway last night I had noticed that there are a row of trees in a line pointing to True Value. Any thoughts?

I am really getting sick of web crossing!!!!!! Question on the pole theory- Is there anything that say It has to be tall poles? There are two wood posts/marks(2/4's) at

the far end of the park away from Ruth- Hardly anyone down that direction??
