Been mighty busy lately. Just seems I have enough time to slog and then something else is going on here.
As of Saturday night - or more accurately, Sunday morning, the Peace Corps son arrived home. We didn't get to bed till darn near 3am. We ended up napping a good part of Sunday except for the time we went visiting with my Mom.
Late last night, the daughter needed a ride home from the airport after her trip to Nicaraqua for work. We got to bed last night around 1:30.
Nice to have everyone back home safe and sound. I think that's the last trip to the airport for awhile.
The new job is going okay. I'll be glad when I know all the ins and outs, but I'm feeling more comfortable with that every day so it's all good.
This weekend we are driving west to go visit with Inks' folks and both the kids will be coming with. Grandpa will love that (it's his birthday). Grandma won't likely know who they are or maybe even who we are, but that's okay too.
From what I'm reading here, everyone is doing mostly okay. Fabulous!
We have VOIP from a company called Lingo. Its like 25 a month and all features and unlimited ld to here and to germany. The only downfall we have had is that you cant talk on the phone and use the internet at the same time. Could possibly be user error:):smile: We like it.
It is my understanding that Comcast does have this service that they are testing currently. It should be launched soon. Dan would know the details on that though.
For us it works great. With my brother in Germany makes for a cheap phone bill!!!

I finally got to watch my DVR taping of INXS. I not only voted at work for her because she's from Minn., but now I've tossed in another 10 votes after seeing her performance. Damn! She should have this sewn up. Her only competition is maybe that hippy blonde dude. We might have another Minnesota star on our hands here folks.
The 1st shift guy who runs my machine asked the bosses if I could come in early this week for some additional training since it meant I could go home early I agreed. Last night almost the whole second shift turned on me, I had forgotten how some people who work in factories are insecure babies, sure makes me want to get out of that place. :angry:
DonÂ’t forget, filming begins August 16 at the St. Paul Saints game. Tickets are going fast, so if you are interested in coming to the game and possibly being an extra in the film, make sure to get yours soon. We will also be casting two small parts at the game.
Anybody able to find who sings the title track and lyrics?
I'll try and write them down tomorrow but thought I'd give Kitch or anyone a project to try and find it on-line somewhere. I find a couple of different bands listed including Seal but know it isn't. Lotsa people asking for it in the chat rooms but no solid answers.
Be careful what you wish for! Shortly after I posted this I lost my power and ended up reading in bed with a flashlight. I felt like I was in camp again. But it feels really nice out there this morning.
I've only had my vacation in since March! The way work is, if we don't have a vacation day pre approved, we have to work the weekend. So I guess I have to either work this weekend and save my vacation day and hope I can get the day off, or take monday anyways and have the weekend off and take my chances for sat Sep 10th. At least being on days I'll only have to work 'till 3 pm and could still see the concert even if I have to work in sept. Hmm...
