Well... it's been exactly a month today since we lost our little boy. It's so hard to believe that time has gone by so fast. I guess I'm doing ok. I had a few break down moments the other day,which I know is a normal thing, but other wise, it's ok. I can get out of bed in the mornings knowing that my little boy is in good hands and that he's watching over Mark and me. *sigh* but sometimes I still get the feelings that life just isn't fair. The other day Mark and I went to the grocery store, and there was a woman there, and I'll bet she had 6 kids at least, and all she did was scream and yell at them, for no reason what so ever. It's like geeze, here she is, with all of those beautiful children, and she acts like she doesn't even want them, and here I am, after having 2 miscarriages, with empty arms, and an empty feeling in my stomach. I just don't get it sometimes. Oh well, I probably never will.
It's one thing to yell at your kid, but to call them stupid, dumb, ugly, and God only knows what ever else is another thing. I can't even type half of the stuff this lady said to her kids it's that bad.
now see, if MY kid called me stupid, dumb, and ugly, he/she'd get a good pat on the ass and then stuck in the corner with their nose holding a penny to the wall. That's one thing that I won't tolerate as a parent. I never got away with it with my parents either. I knew better.

it just pisses me off royally... U see mothers and fathers out there who don't give a rats ass about their kids... and seem to have PERFECT pregnancies, then you get parents like Mark and I who really want kids.... and can't seem to have them :frown:
In defense of those parents you think don't give a rats ass about their kids, you are just seeing one second of their day. Granted there are proper ways to handle kids and their attitudes, which is subjective anyway, but they might give their kids all the lovin in the world outside of that one certain situation. Being a parent it's pretty tough not to love and care for your kids no matter how bad they get. I always have a fear that most parents do where you might be perceived as being a bad parent for one thing you said in public in front of others. Even though most parents would give some latitude, you still wonder what others might think even though it doesn't really matter.
I've gotta agree with you CM....I've had my blood pressure go thru the roof many of times....and to think I know its going to get worse in the teenage years...
But see CM... I have one up on that... I was one of those kids that had parents who didn't give a rats ass... and this wasn't just one minute in the day, this was EACH and EVERY day. And I wasn't a bad kid either. Hell I was a perfect angel pretty much. When I saw these kids CM, they weren't acting up, heck they were perfectly behaved kids... one kid asked his mom for a water...a frikken water, and the mom spazzed out. I'm sorry, I don't care HOW stressed out a parent is.. it doesn't give them the right to call their kids stupid, ugly, dumb, ect. This is coming from a person who heard that EVERY day of her life from the time she was 8 until the day I moved out of my house.
I'm real sorry about your situation early in life MM. No kid deserves to be physically or emotionally abused. That's truly sad.
My point wasn't to say that calling kids stupid, ugly or dumb was justified or not, it was simply to bring to light that nobody knows what situation a family is in from just a couple of quick comments no matter how wrong they may seem.
Coming from a parent of a 7 year old, the water thing could have easily been as simple as the kid was asking and denied the water for the past 30 minutes. And you got to see the pinnacle of the situation. I have no idea what was said or how it was said, just that I always cut a parent some slack when they feel the need to discipline in public. Kids aren't stupid, many of them know that they can push parents in public because they know that you treat things much differently than at home.
I am glad you were able to bust loose of your situation. I hope things were better afterwards.
