oh great, google IM now? what's that make it... 5 or 6 large IM systems that don't like to play nice with the others? Wish they'd consolidate to one IM standard, and just different client interfaces...
official is all point of view... I'd guess "officially" the site for THE medallion hunt would be twincities.com (Pioneer Press). And they would like you to "officially" discuss the clues on their boards.
However they also monitor their boards, and could theoretically modify posts if they feel too much info on the medallion's location has been given away
Now I haven't heard this from the horse's mouth but my better half tells me Timmers might be taking the wolfpac to the game he won the suite for and this time I hope my better half is right!
I knew they were building it but wasn't sure when it was to open. That's just down the street from where I am right now. Way cool!
we gotta do that ASAP! Finally a step up. Carts are next. I wonder if they have showers or at least locker areas so I can go straight to work from there? If not, I can always use our locker rooms here too I guess. Damn that looks like fun!
Lemmy know when you wanna hook up. It's amazing how many idiots $3 will keep away.
Right now if you want to host a folder, you just create it and then ask us to make you a host if you want that level of access ... access list, edit/delete, etc. powers. Then when we go "pay to host," you will pay up or your folder dies ... we might archive it in case someone wants to pay to resurrect it. Once the payment system is in place, a user won't have the right to create a folder until they pay the yearly hosting fee. Then they will be able to create one folder.
Can you create folders within folders? Well yes but Tim and I need to finalize a policy on that. He's afraid it will get abused. It's a topic for discussion between us.
As far as an moderated discussion ... where at least no one has the right to ban others, etc. I can see the reason for this and perhaps there will be not just free public forums, but also some that only pay to post users can post in that we "more or less" moderate .. we might require one or more volunteers monitors without host access that will report to us potential violations of the our site policies or the law. We don't want to become moderators of discussions because of the time involved ... but we could set up some discussions or folders where no member(s) has enough power to ban anyone, deleted postings, etc. Again a discussion I need to have with Tim.
my question is why a folder in a folder would get abused? does the hierarchy make that much of a difference? I'm surprised they aren't charging per active discussion (such as this "shoot the breeze" as this is where all the activity is, not a folder persay...
I always forget about it though cuz I never use them anyway.

Some one asked about this earlier in one of theses threads. Heres the answer. (About the number next to your name)
Also if anybody didn't know...we don't have to pay to post 'till later now...
