my girlfriend treasurehunter44 contacted you earlier today. and now she's been banned from postin on cooler crew. Im guessing it had something to do with the nature of her message. being that we both are new hunters, we were invited at the park the other night by some members of the cooler crew to hang out last night, and went. some people started talking about whats going on with you and some wicked nick guy, (neither of you were theres so I dont know) and it seems that alot of them know things you dont. thats why my girlfriend, Tina, decided to contact you. she meant you no harm. so if you could, please see to it that she has her posting ability allowed once again, as I dont have any idea on who to contact, and like I said, since you were the only one she talked to, its kind of obvious as to how she was blocked. thanks

Okay, you posted before I could. Yeah, this is the stuff that we have to put up with. Like anybody who knows anything about this would want to talk about the situation that this stems from, especially in front of new cooler crew members.

Exactly.. and why would a newbie want or need to know about Nick.... and for that matter try to associate COCO with you and Nick and this hunt. I wasn't out earlier in the week but I don't believe she was around to meet Coco... or any other member.

Elissa was out only with me. We met Jake one afternoon, that was it. We saw a bunch of people out hunting Saturday morning, but we didn't talk to anyone. Well, there was one guy near the bridge who asked if we were hunting for caterpillars. Who would talk about this stuff between us, who would want to get involved? So much crap that comes up that we can't seem to answer in a sane manner. Maybe they're trying to get all this done before it goes to pay-per-view-and-post.

Yeah, sorry you guys still have to deal with it, but wanting to keep everyone informed as moderators. I wish the investigator would actually get back to us on this, so we could have taken care of this in a legal way.

Heh, with things still not going away, Elissa has felt at times like letting you guys see all of the stuff that her and I have received. Let you read all the crap that's been sent, the volume of it all. We just want it to go away for good, not have this residual crap.

Funny thing is... he/they will forget about this in another year and relieze it was St00pid.

I have only one viable theory as to why this is going on. Beyond that, things don't seem as likely. I would hope that the person behind this realizes how stupid it is sooner than later.

Even on the last clue, there were only regulars there, with the exception of Tatergirl and her hubby.

No one mentioned squat to them.

So, not only did no one discuss this issue (At least when I was around), but there were no "Lurkers" there to tell anything to anyway.

Oh, and even if someone did say something, which is a bunch of bull!, no one would say squat about Coco being a bitch.

One thing of note is that in the first egram, the woman is referred to as Tina. In the second one, she's referred to as Stacy. It's either two people they're talking about or they can't keep their names straight. Elissa is going to call the investigator for her case. She's going to try to get the information from him, noting that she's continuing to get harassment from different sources, and that the investigator has information necessary to proceed in the correct way (Nick is violating the HRO or there will need to be an HRO taken out against Steve).

One thing interesting, if you think about it, is how only she gets messages. I don't get anything from these people. If I were cheating, you'd think that they'd write me to say how horrible I was, how I'm going to get caught, how could I do something like that, etc. Yet there's nothing.

I think they were talking about creating a totally open thread where pretty much anything goes but would still have 'reporters' to let the sysop know of anything over the line. They wouldn't have any power other than just reporting abuse. No mod privileges.

You will. I don't know where you heard otherwise. The thing that came up was in regards to someone being banned from a certain political folder. They wanted an all open folder where someone couldn't ban you just because of your certain views like in pf.

It had nothing to do with the individual members folders. Those will always be moderated by the host of the folder. They would loose quite a few of us if they started moderating individual folders.

I was going to write a big long thing about what I had to go through last night because of all this crap. I'll spare you guys. What I'm frustrated at is not you guys, but other people and things that are or aren't happening. I'll just say that I'll never forgive whoever is doing this to us, but most importantly Elissa.

Yeah, you'd think they could have easily helped fix this part of the BS. I'm sure they would probably just double their efforts with the other avenues they're using, but it would make this place safe anyway. This is just way sad all around.

Hey Dan.... congrats for the find! We have been off line this week... Between the addition and an unexpected blood transfusion our lives are sort of upside down. Jason checked and I guess our ISP was down for about 24 hours... the timing sucked!!! We are back up and number of hits wasn't an issue... he was coding some stuff for it while we were on vacation so he could access it durring the hunt... what a time to go down... sheesh. will you please pass this on to the others? I am on for just a couple of seconds and have to run out the door. We will be checking with the server to see what the hell happened... this is the first time we have had this issue come up.

Tim and MArk have been great with regards to all of this. Tim wants to try to take care of this in the most efficient way. He could ban Shaggy, but as we've seen, there are more names that come up and get involved with this. Tim is trying to contact the investigator for Elissa's case, but he hasn't returned calls to her or Tim. We're trying to take care of it via legal channels, and Tim feels that this is the best way with the information that he has. I trust Tim. We're looking to increase the pressure on the investigator to get working on this by having other people like myself and her parents call on her behalf.

yeah no shit. it got back up sometime monday night, however. i'm not sure if it was the qwest line, or visi's dsl router, since there's nothing in visi's news about things going down.

My plan has worked. The investigator has been contacted, and the wheels are in motion. We're feeling much better about things. :smile:

bill, and finish off our Summer 2005 fundraising effort.

I've been missing work due to my injury, and am having to find a new job, but I'm donating $40 anyway,

because I know that August can be a rough time for fundraising. (It's our slowest month.)
