buying some discs, and other assorted things in the next few days from http://www.cheapgolfdiscs.com
I'm too lazy to go all the way down there and look for them in the woods, like Kitch did....
Nick...I wouldn't buy them there...go to some place local and skip the shipping cost
I wonder if they realize that this is a drinking sport? Plus they don't have any holes that come close to the clubhouse during the game to refresh. No beer babe either. I see us trying it once or twice but I'm not giving it very high marks as of right now anyway. When you can screw up a simple put by having it go end up and rolling 350' down the hill, doesn't sound like much fun to me. Either way it'll be something new to try and find out. Here's a few shots from earlier today.
thats not a biker gang....
its THX's mobile shed gang!
Got Wood?

Whose nose?
What's wrong with Jakes nose?
Go back...
WTF?
O.K. at least there is no snotcicles...
if perhaps the whole cooler crew would vote at least 4 or 5 times per person, i might win that damn thing!!
G
the fair rocks.... tuesday ended up sucking, because my meetup was never metup with, so I wandered alone, and went to the concert alone.....
love songs arent good.....
nothing is, when you do it alone....
unless you count the company of the beer?
yeah...
Yesterday rocked though....
I won a crapload of stuff...
you know that dude that guesses your age, and if he's wrong, you win stuff??
hell yeah.... i beat that sucker....
I won another giant stuffed animal this year....but I gave it away to some chick that looked sad....
she looked like she could use it more than me....and besides.....now that I have the skills down to snag prizes at a couple games, it'll be a sinch my next couple of visits....
the new go carts rock.... but if they put you in car number 3... tell em to screw off..... its got bad breaks, and literally caught on fire when I was driving it....
have you guys seen that sports girl from channel 5? Anne Hutchinson??? she's okay on TV, but in person, holy CRAP that chick hurts....
we were hangin out catching a little of Garage Logic, and she came walkin through the crowd after doing some news stuff on the show, shakin hands with people and thanking them for coming out.....
her: hey, hows it goin? nice to see you.
me: umm......huh? (looking around)......what?
her: laughter
me: umm.....fries
her: what?
me: you want some?
yeah... that was our convo... and she ate half of my cup-o-fries....
s'all good though....
also won a FREE admission to back again this afternoon..... because of some "speed dating at the fair" deal that I signed up for and didnt even know about.....
I dont really care about the speed dating crap.... im just going because its a free admission, and I get a free ride in the "skyride"....
and because ive got buy 1 get 1 coupons for more beer
the fair needs a medallion hunt.....especially this year, because im out there almost every day anyhow....
also....according to some random chick I talked to at the grandstand last night,.... its perfectly okay to admit liking martina mcbride, or any other country music in general, even if you've never heard their songs, as long as you have been drinking..... simply because beer and country music are good together....
during the song "dancin in the streets"... please try and hold back your laughter when they say that people are dancin down in new orleans.....
love songs arent good.....
nothing is, when you do it alone....
:frown: wow... yeah
STATE FAIR
- the new pet center on machinery hill had dog shows that were fun to watch
- the battlebots up there wern't what I expected-I could pass on it next time
- got my photo taken looking like a rocker at the 104 area
- signed up for the sweet motorcycle at the 93x area
- the tornado thing at channel 5 wasn't bad
- deep fried corn on the cob and foot long corndogs wern't any good - stick with cheese curds and marthas cookies- yummy!
- I have wanted to ride the new 'sky ride' but yet another year for that - I love heights
- got my button at guest services
- got my fix of quilts and art in the art building  (I'm the only one in my family that likes that place)
- watching the 'behind the scenes' at channel 11 was pretty cool
- I love to watch the ambulances with their lights flashing when they are anywhere in the fair - this time they were at the water ride/go karts
- biggest hog wasn't as big as last year (only 1040 pounds this year)
supposedly you can buy the dough for them at the grocery store
I have wanted to ride the new 'sky ride' but yet another year for that - I love heights
its just like riding a ski lift.
Tech building has kinda sucked the last couple years, except last year they had that experimental light rail alternative system demonstration, that was broke most of the time
I'll be back out on the last day, always liked the last day of the fair best anyway. Last year I got the last pot roast sandwich at a place in the food building, turns out that place isn't there this year, so I got the last one ever. heh
Fried Green Tomatoes- A little tart, have with ranch dressing ...nummy
Turkey Sandwich at the "Turkey To Go" booth...it's the juiciest turkey you'll ever have. NO BBQ just plain or maybe a little cajun spice. I find it sick and wrong(and humorous) that it's across the street from the poultry bldg. :pbpt:
Pickle Dog....This is a slice of ham with cream cheese wrapped around a dill pickle. I know it sounds odd but we ate these all the time in college.
Walleye Cakes...in the Northwoods area if you like Crabcakes you'll love it.
Buffalo Shrimp....beer garden- Can you say more beer please for my tingling lips?
Garlic Fries.....why fill up on regular fries that you can get anywhere when there are fries slathered with chopped fresh sauteed garlic. You can smell them 30 yds away. Baseball patio next to food bldg.
Sasparilla.....for the root beer fans try the rich flavor of this sweet brew. Heritage square.
Well we all know of the favorites: pronto pups, sweet martha's, pork chop on a stick, corn on the cob, etc, but I just wanted to show a little different list of foods that we love and think more people should try.
I miss the reubens from that little place in the corner of the old food building before it was the "cub food building". now there isn't a decent place to get a reuben at the fair. schumacher's sucks and o'gara's deep fried reuben is straight up nasty.
goddamn corporate money.
thats it...
Here's one I shot during the first line then one later just before the second line came through.
