it's like some kind of gas price super inflation, 20 cents every few hours... shoot it could be 5 bucks a gallon by the time I drive home.
With all these increases, there better be some sort of relief in the next couple months, however I can see the gas stations looking to profit (even though they always deny it) by slowly backing down prices. Eventually we'll all think 2.50 a gallon is a bargain.....
Oil companies continued to trade higher. Exxon Mobil Corp. rose $1.19 to $59.80; Chevron Corp. rose $1.40 to $61.94 and ConocoPhillips rose $2.06 to $66.47.
scam indeed if wall street is expecting higher profits from it.
This is one of the few times that I am not happy about living in Maple Grove, no buses during the time I need. So I am stuck driving to MPLS everyday.....ICK!!!
John filled up yesterday. At that time, the gas station had two empty pumps. Apparently, people are starting to freak that it will be $5 by the end of the weekend and are filling up now.
The metro Atlanta region generally has about a 10-day supply of gasoline in inventory, said BP spokesman Michael Kumpf. The pipelines have been down for two days.
Some suppliers are rationing gasoline to retailers, so some stations may already be near empty.
They took this picture in the late 70's when it first went over $1/gal. Talk about freaking out!
To keep things in perspective, we would have to be over $7/gal when adjusted for inflation. We're not there quite yet. I'm glad I filled up last night but what difference is that gonna mean when I need to do it all over again in 5 days? I don't get why people are passing along this stupid e-mail about not buying gas on the 1st. Would someone explain it to me? Either you drive or you don't. Not buying gas one day so you can buy twice as much the next doesn't make sense to me. Especially when it's gonna be even higher in price. Stupid.
The e-mail should say - take the bus or something along those lines.
This looks newer than the 70's but I totally remember waiting for hours to fill up. And it had to be done on an odd or even date depending on your license plate. I have a personalized plate now with no numbers so I would never be able to get gas I guess.
How do we address you?
I can perform a wedding. Although I would need to figure out how to register myself in Minnesota.
We did it as a joke here at work. There were like 4 of us:) But I have it none the less.
Scam is right!!
