The Pioneer Press medallion has been found. Details are at our Winter Carnival page.
The hunt's over, but the discussion rages on ...

With as torn up as Mounds and Cherokee both are, I'm beginning to jump on the bandwagon that it's found and someone is just enjoying the frenzy. Whatta ya all think?
Let me fuel the fire: Clue #6 referenced being "on the wrong track" and tonites had "win the race". I'll bet the park is near a running track, perhaps near a high school
Well I don't know if this has been mentioned or not but I drove by Cherokee park and there are 4 pyramids there as opposed to the three I could see at Mounds
I do think that you can make almost any clue fit any park. Some years I have been really ticked off at the official explanation. Given that I've developed an unnatural affinity for indian mounds as the site, I think double division could mean the divided mounds blvd and the adjacent divided bike/walking path. Or the borders of west st p and south st paul. Frankly, on this one I like the ramsey county/st paul border rationale for cherokee. But overall...

Hey East Side Boys are there any pyramids out at Beaver that was my original guess but was told I was nuts
What's with the reference to a "race"?
I don't think he's dropped it yet
Is there water na/near Newell?
Here's how to make $500 if you don't find the medallion:
Follow these steps, IF I FIND THE MEDALLION:
1) You must be willing to claim the full treasure reward.
2) I turn the medallion over to you; and in exchange for that,
3) You give me the full treasure reward except for $500 you keep out of it -- thus you got $500 for not having to find the medallion.
Deal?
If you agree, send E-Mail to me and I'll contact you if I find that little medallion.
Hey HUNTER
You don't want to claim the taxes huh
and the "lucky" errand boy/girl gets a tax bill about three times what you're offering!
P.S. Beavis-- are you going to entertain us or what?
I'd like to officially change from vote from the "Mounds" squad to the "smaller park" team
Just exactly where are we supposed to look?????
Cherokee is dug up bad. How does "Rosebud" work with Newell? Any sliding hills there?
I'm with it being at a smaller park...
BRB gotta go take a dump.

What about the "dough" and double division? I am new so it may have been said but are any of theese places near a beer brewary?
Magnus, sounds like 'double division' goin' on!
No one is talking because this is a text medium.
I'd like to see a clue referencing a certain Timberwolves player. That would nail it down to CP, as if it's not already.
j
Well any way you look at it I'd be suprised if the medallion hunt was still going on tomorrow
alison-please explain the dough and DD connection with the brewry thing.
I'm going to bed all of you treasure hunters. Best of luck to all. I'm going to simply dream about digging in the snow and striking it rich.

Well there are a *lot* of people at both places, but I just like watching crazy people freeze while digging around in the snow. Only in Minnesota!
can u see the old landmark brewery from either park
