Sept. 17-18, Fall Harvest Festival at Chateau St. Croix near St. Croix Falls, Wis. This handsome, newly built European-style estate in the St. Croix River Valley will kick off each day of its festival with an extreme polocrosse match — lacrosse played on horseback. In addition to the 3:30 p.m. grape stomps, there will be an "I Love Lucy'' look-alike contest, a medallion hunt, carriage rides, a corn maze and artisan displays. 1-715-483-2556, www.chateaustcroix.com.

back from the fair. Party's over as they say. I missed out on a great opportunity to photograph some of the fair stuff I thought might make good "art" for an entry next year. Ah well, maybe next year (to submit the following).
Didn't see Big G's art, was it up today or not? Heck I didn't even know where to vote...
Lots of bad stuff goining on latley. :frown: My thoughts are with you all. We had one of our coworkers pass away over the weekend. Not sure how yet, but we think heart attack. :frown:
Just finished talking with Inks' brother. His Mom is now in a coma. She is having more frequent and longer episodes of apnea where she isn't breathing. We are having the IV fluids discontinued. She should be gone within 3 days from what the doctor said after those are discontinued. She isn't suffering. She will be moved to the hospice that is within the hospital there. That will probably happen tomorrow.
Inks and our son are leaving and going back to Willmar tomorrow. Inks' brother needs some help there. I will probably go out on Thursday.
Thanks for the prayers and thoughts. It means the world to us.
It's been one of those times were sad news is hovering all around. My Stepdads mother is living in Michigan. She had a stroke 20 years ago and has always been dealing with the affects of that. Over the last few years she has been fading to Alzheimer's. Just here in the last few days she's been in the hospital with an accelerated heartbeat and a new condition of dementia.
I think the hardest thing for Steph and I is know exactly what to say or do for him.
