It looks too low to be mounds, but I don't know where else it would be.

Battle Creek?

It looks like it's from the west side of St Paul. Baker doesn't really have it. There's a smaller park around there, I want to say Margaret, or this little park at a dead end street. Prospect park would be too far west for that viewpoint. I don't know if Kaposia would give a view like that.

Cherokee?

Thanks Guys on the storm shots. That shot of KC's is from the East looking West. More Southeast I'm thinking. Maybe the lookout point by where Tim found the flag? Or even more south like that Hwy 61 overlook by Burns?

I love pictures taken from Mounds though.... if your from around here, you automatically know where it was taken from when you see them....

There is a small park with a view of the downtown. There used to be Riverview Hospital there (Prescott St.) until they tore it down..

Clue Master was correct (though I suppose technically he's a geocacher, and mighta checked my cache logs). It is Battle Creek, taken on the upper trail, which isn't used as much, near the west end of the park. Roughly at this location.

I thought it was Mounds at first then noticed the distance the Cathedral was from downtown. Plus I have almost the same shot somewhere. :chagrin:

Still, it was interesting to see all the varied responses (yeah I know you haven't been on that site in a while, just givin ya a hard time).

Might be interesting to see if I can stump people with some photos, or by all means, someone else get out and get some, stump me!

Yeah the downtown shots can be deceiving, actually that area of Battle Creek is relatively close to the scenic overlook (east of mounds on 61) so I can see mistaking those two.

hmm. i was expecting it to be from mor towards the west side given the proximity of galtier plaza with the first bank building.

this has been a heck of a project though. we got the jacuzzi set in place, only to find that it had a crack in the finish. not sure how deep it went, so it went back to lowe's sunday afternoon for a replacement. fortunately, it didn't have a crack in it, since getting it in and out of the house was a bitch!!!

My parent's own a small farm...is part of the reason moving them is a royal pain in the ass.

Yeah, it was a photo hunt where you had to match the same shot from the same vantage point. There are some real unique public areas within St.Paul to say the least.

Nah, it got hard when we had to start making up rules and stuff. Like how far away you can shoot towards a certain view and shooting from public areas that weren't open 24 hours or cost $ to enter.

It was fun when it first started out though. We did buildings and landmarks. But we could do it with parks. You would need to take the picture during the day anyway to get the match.
