got an associate thats got a guitar that he's got signed by a buncha bands in the past couple years.... some by chance run ins with, some with meet n greets like that....
its crazy what people have offered him for it after seeing it.... looks like something 93X would want to auction off for charity....
I think I have just about tapped my buying concert tickets fund. Trying to save money again. Wine season is approaching :wink:

I got one of those gumballs that says "winner" on it out of a machine at Kmart yesterday.... took it to one of the manager guys and said "sup with this? what do I win?"
and he says "nothing, theres no contest, we just fill the machine with that kind because their cheaper for us to buy"
25 cents is alotta loot... if i woulda known there was no prize to be won, i could have spent it on the merry-go-round outside.....
actually now that I think about it.... an order of fries is probably worth more than anything at all you can purchase at Kmart....
LL- I was only as close as caller 8 and I thought I had to be caller 10 but when they came back on the air they said caller 20 had won. I thought I was closer than I really was but still a 'LOSER' :frown:

I was never good at telling which were harmful and which weren't, so I just stayed the hell away from them all.
Except the ones I'd chop up with the mower while mowing the lawn.

also says that the population of Houston, already being high enough.....has seemed like its doubled....tons of people living/staying in the astrodome, and surrounding hotels.....

Kinda weird thing I had happen to me today that made me kind of excited. I received a call from the lady in charge of the Centennial Lakes Bulletin who took my photo for the last issue. While she was interviewing me for the article I mentioned that I enjoy taking pictures of buildings, nature, events etc.. She asked for my web site so I gave it to her. Now she calls out of the blue and asked if it was OK for the Chief Designer of her firm to contact me about some free-lance stuff. She said he liked what he saw and had a few things in mind for me. HUH!
I know it's probably nothing much but it would be cool to actually have someone put me out on assignment instead of just doing it for myself. Plus get paid for it? Nice. :grin:
My first 'assignment' is to cover an art fair that's going on right here at CLOP this weekend. She said it was strictly volunteer and I didn't need to do it if I couldn't. I'm gonna try and find the time I'm sure.
If this works out I might go back to the contact who asked me to be a second angle camera for shots of the Governor on leisure events. That was a bit more structured tho. There were photo ops planned ahead of time and there really didn't seem to be that much leeway involved.
