Ares and TC - You will survive the tile ordeal...hope you find the right pieces. Remodeling is such a can of worms, isn't it?
well, we did survive it. 76 cases of marble, 24 usable cases. needless to say, there's gonna be some massive returns at home depot. its fun to see it finally start coming together, its just getting down to cosmetic details now. we'll post before, during and after pics when its all done.
tc is threatening to post the soundtrack of the project. i keep telling her that we try to keep this place rated pg. i've found even more interesting ways to use the f-enheimer. with a hammer, at that.
ok, is it just wrong to purchase a gstring in front of your teenager at Walmart? :pbpt:  :eyeroll: :sheepish:     :lipsealed:
wow- alot of that corner of the brewery is just gone :frown: News said the police were called on trespassers in the bldg only 2 hrs prior to the fire but they didn't find anyone :frown: FU(%#&$
could smell it over here at my house....so I decided to follow my nose and see what was up.....just like the warehouse on Payne a couple months ago....
was on the south side of the property.... the hardest for them to get any of the trucks to....
I'd guess it was probably some kids or something messing around back there, or somethin like that..... its pretty easy to get in back there, if you know where your going...... just like it was with the old Whirlpool building on Arcade at what is now Phalen Blvd......before they tore it down......
I seem to remember a couple of years ago, about a big controversy over the property when it was for sale.....like 4 people wanted to purchase it for different purposes..... one of them wanted to do townhouses, someone wanted retail space, etc..... hopefully this has nothing to do with that crap.....that would be really sad....
also....
got an east side review recently.....article talkin about the guy that owned Payne ave our own hardware passing away.... it mentione that before they sold the building to the new owners, they found out that he had secretly been storing years, and years and years worth of winter carnival costumes and other assorted artifacts, that nobody knew about......was going to donate them to an east side history museum that never got off the ground....
I wonder what happened to the stuff after he passed away.....what his family did with it all....
Tonight on Rockstar: INXS, the youngest rocker was sent home. Many expected that Jordis Unga would go home, so this would be no surprise that INXS sent her home. Jordis had done well early in the competition, but lately the stress of the competition had gotten to her, by her own admission.
Tim Farriss said that now more than ever it's about who is right for the band. All five of the contestants can sing. Jordis, he said, wasn't right for INXS. He added that he's a huge fan of hers. She's going to be a huge star and will have a wonderful solo career. Tim will be the first to buy her record. He may have competition from Dave, who told Jordis that he adores her and loves her. She's a star, he said, one that he will hear on the radio, see on TV, and make music with.
doing a bit of work on coolercrew.com at the moment. first things first, i'm getting the simple pages into a database and dynamically generated. check 'em out:
done. let me know if the definition should change. man its nice having all that stuff in the database. no html pages to edit, just add the appropriate rows into the database. today, i plan on scouring the city's parks and recs page for specific links to the parks to get in there. after that, its off to perfect the medallion page to work this very same way. still have a bit more work on the database side to do, as i want to be able to make them searchable and what not, but the basic jist of it is there.
Well on the subject of needing prayers...I just got back from Las Vegas, visiting the home office for a couple days. I got worked like a dog for several days, 14 hour days on both Tuesday and Wednesday, then yesterday my boss asks if she can drive me to the airport. She walks in with me, walks me to security, then says she wants to talk, and lays me off before I go through security. The letter that I was given said that "my roll was being downsized."
Yeah, Kitch, I'm gonna call that lady again monday. gonna take today to myself and decompress a little. I've been way to wrapped up in the job and put so much of myself in it that getting laid off was kind of a relief; I feel like I can breathe today.
well in that case, bear, you at least don't have to worry about dying of a stroke because of the stress. it pissed my mom off big time when my dad left his company for a lower stress job on the night shift for the first couple of years, after 30 years with his previous employer. but at least we don't have to worry about the stress killing him.
I've only been minimally following this thread. Good thoughts and peace to everyone going through a tough time.
On another note, Marty should win. He can sing a range of music and he's hot. I don't like JD at all. He looks and sounds too much like Elvis. I thought I liked Mig. But, while he is hot, he has been weak lately.
If anyone is attending this on Sunday than stop by and say hi! I will be in Nathan Hale Park...missing the VIKES!!! grrrr :frown: (that will never happen again! and I got a new Vikes shirt too!)
Sunday: In honor of the centennial celebration of architect Cass Gilbert's most famous masterpiece, the Minnesota State Capitol, Gilbert-designed homes will be featured on this tour of the interiors of 21 homes and churches, most built between 1880 and 1910 along Summit Avenue, the nation's best-preserved Victorian boulevard. Also enjoy a street fair with horse-drawn carriage rides, music and historic exhibits at Nathan Hale Park, Western and Summit avenues. 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Ramsey Hill neighborhood, St. Paul; $20 in advance, $25 Sunday; 651-228-9111.
In a hilarious use of Asian characters - pointed out by Tian, one of the contestants, J.D., on CBS’ Rockstar INXS wore a shirt that, when viewed normally, appeared to say something in an Asian language but, when viewed sideways, clearly reads “Go Fuck Your Self.” Censors did not catch the trick and images of the contestant are all over the Rockstar INXS website and, presumably, were broadcast as well.

I just wish that freak Marty would get the boot.
She was second guessing herself anyway. I liked her but that JD dude has the drive and sounds and looks like them. Plus he can command an audience.

The drive? He didn't even learn the song that was a new original INXS song that one night.
He's not bad, but he's not that great either. He's good at bouncing around the stage like a pogo stick.
So she's not gone then?
No, she's gone. I just think she'll do fine without INXS.
I thought she didn't buy it...that means she's going komando

WoW    :pbpt: :lipsealed: :goofy:
kitch, when did you add that to the shop?
what is the silverthing painted on the field???
I can't figure it out....
