Here's a few shots from last nights IGH fireworks. They had to be the best I've seen in some time. They had a finale that went on for 7 minutes. And had 3 awesome endings.

These are also dedicated to the people affected by 9/11

Yeah, we took a trip with my family since my Aunt and Uncle were visiting. I have a few other pics but that one was nice being that I could see all the way down the Minnesota side.

One thing I did find out is that my deck can support a whole two story house with the wood that Home Depot said I needed. It turned out to be double of what was needed according to the inspector. I'm just glad I don't live down there. Nice place but I couldn't handle rebuilding every 10 years.

I haven't seen them before. I first thought that they were hurricane pics until I did some research.

Maybe it's just me, but it is not a good sign when you have to build your house on stilts.

I couldn't handle a 800k house that feels like 95K

The avg. home is about 1000-1500 sq. feet and no basement or attic.

I read an article recently that said those poorest of the poor in N.O. are really going to be hurting when they find out that the flood insurance only goes up to 250k. How much were those houses they were living in worth?
