looking at the list of recent referring sites to coolercrew.com today, i came across this one: http://twincities.citysearch.com/profile/5518149 (in addition to some sites of less repute, which makes me wonder what some of you folks do in your spare time  ). Look at where the web site link points.
ok, I've been making reference to this in other threads and realized I haven't announced it to everyone so they are confused.
I had 3 kidney stones last week. One was about 8-10 mm the other 2 smaller. I had surgery last Thursday to try and remove them, it was unsuccesful but they added a stent to make it easier for them to pass and pushed the stones back into my kidney. Friday the stones exited the kidney and blocked the opening to the stent, causing fluid to back up into my kidney causing serious pain, I used percoset to nurse me through the weekend. Monday I found out that there was the blockage and had another surgery scheduled for Tuesday. Monday night I had to be rushed to the ER in massive pain because the blockage had become so painful. The surgery on Tuesday successfully removed 6 stones, the original big stone being broken up plus the other 2. Another stent was placed after that surgery to ensure everything got back to normal. Wednesday evening I was rushed to the ER in massive pain again. Apparently that stent was blocked by some sort of blood clot/kidney mucas thingy. I had surgery Thursday (yesterday) to remove that stent and get another new one. Sorry for the gross details but I felt bad that I was talking about it and people were confused.
Please pray that this stent does not get blocked because I need to get back to my real life, and also I would rather not go through that pain again. Thanks for the good thoughts in advance!
I'll pray for ya Tim, I had a kidney stone myself once, though not as bad as yours sound. Still, I know what kinda pain that can be. Heck, I was still recouperating during 9/11, in fact I was so doped up on pain killers at the time, my roommate told me a plane crashed into the world trade center and I thought it was the st. paul one....
Damn Dude! I'm way sorry to hear about all that BS you've had to go through. You're too fricken young for this shit! It sounds like you're semi-optimistic anyway so that's nice. I hope everything works out well for you this time around Tim. I'll be pulling for you. Your description was perfect. I kinda felt your pain reading that. OUCH
Well people may know that I've been getting kidney stones since I was 12. However this was by far the biggest one I have ever had. My best guess is it has been forming for 2+ years because it has been that long since my last bout.
The good news is they were able to get these ones and are testing them in the lab to see what type they are. They may be able to adjust my diet to prevent them if they are a certain type. We'll see.
If any of you are into garage sales, Saint Anthony Park is having their neighborhood garage sale tomorrow from 9-5. Pick up maps at the Speedy Mart on Como.
Timmers, sorry to hear that. What I want to know is...how the hell are you keeping up on the thread?? I think I'd be out of commission for a while..it sounds like you're having surgery every other day!
need to get back to my real life, and also I would rather not go through that pain again.
you mean real life and pain don't go together? oooops
goodness- you need a girlfriend to take care of you - get better friend! I woulda come seen you in the hospital if I knew you were there...I wanna see your some sort of blood clot/kidney mucas thingy
I get to move all the junk we put in to storage back to the house tomorrow, then I get to destroy an old dog house that we don't want to bring with us when we move
Timmers - We'll just call you Rocky II. Inks has already been through enough of that same kidney stone stuff to have been given the name Rocky years ago. You know we're hoping they get to the bottom of the cause of those stones so you don't have to keep going through that.
We buried Inks' Mom today. The service was very nice and it's good to know she's at peace.
We are also looking forward to getting back to whatever normal life is...it's been awhile.
Sorry to hear about your stones Timmers. I had gall stones 4 years ago. Woke up with so much pain my mom rushed me to the ER. 5 hours later they sent me home no diagnosis and a bottle of vicodin :pbpt: I had surgery to remove my gall bladder since I was getting them so young and half the women in my family has had them. I was misdiagnosed with something else during my surgery and had to back twice for tests where they shoved a small garden hose down my throat...once when I was awake!!!
Oh well, Timmers at least you'll be able to sympathize with your future wife when she's giving birth.

You don't know how many times I have heard that and I really do think it is kind of a possitive if you can take a possitive out of this. The thing that sucks about kidney stones is you don't even get anything that cool at the end. But then again my kidney stones don't wake me up in the middle of the night for months and will never crash my car or end up in jail. I wish I could get something though, like I wish they were precious jems or something and I could get a ring or something.
Sorry for your loss Terry but she is in a much better place now.
