1999 Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Allison Wonderland

Could be, who are you? And yes J.Damien that sounds interesting, but why do we have to wait until May?

What game? or dare I ask?

David Allison sounds like the name of the person who got the mail order bride or whatever at the MOA... yes? no?

After seeing the movie "The Game", it sounds a little ominous.

Ian is right! I changed my name from paul ingua to ziggy zee and the system went back in time and changed my name, so maybe we should all assume that the jerk

was someone else and that aaron niedorf is just a lucky guy and maybe a nice one at that, who doesn't like to shovel (who does?). But the clues still were sloppy, but

I had fun being out there and now I think I need to get back to my so-called life -bye all!

Mail order bride? I'm not that desperate (yet). What is MOA?

Well, if anyone wants to know, I'm 31, live in Como Park, went to school in the Roseville area if any of that sounds familiar.

Hmmm.. J.Damien that sounds just like the movie. I'm not going to have to fight my way out of a sinking car and pay a million dollars, am I?

Thu, 02/04/1999 - 7:59 PM Permalink
J. Damien

Allison - no. You just have to be smart enough to decipher and figure out the clues, which are much more challenging, but at the same time more rewarding, than any

other hunt. jrdamien@yahoo.com

Back to reality!... Reality sucks! Curt C. (good to see ya). Couldn't help but notice, you've been pounding on that old hoe since you found it at Well New. Is'nt it

about time ya got a new one? I mean you can buff an old shoe, but when a hoe wears out, "come on", flip the pages, grease the wheels, and get a new one! She was

still working good when you found it at Cherokee, but good greif guy, the Med Hunters favorite tool, shouldn't be comprimised by flakes & pits. OK! You got dumb

lucky (TWICE), but not this year! See Ya At The Aftermash Bash!! Sunday's look'in like a heat wave!!!

FOOLED YA

I never expected to find it although if I had, it would have been nice!

All this Circus showed me was that the carnival is becoming more bush league every year!

People are absolutely nuts!!

The Press should be ravaged with picks, shovels, and lanterns, then chased down like Frankenstien!

It was a monsterous blunder that those baffoons pulled on the general public.

The whole media has gone mad with their non-sensical reporting!!!!!!If that's what you'd call it!!!

What's happenin out there pals.

I hope you guys still love me!

Because I love you!

Even though I come down hard I always end up lightening up!!!!

So what's the good word for today!

Anybody want to hear a good joke?

The Real Aaron N.

A blonde wanted to go treasure hunting. She'd seen many books on the subject, and finally, after getting all the necessary "tools" together, she made for the nearest

frozen lake.

After positioning her comfy footstool, she started to chop the ice Suddenly---from the sky---a voice boomed, "THERE IS NO TREASURE UNDER THE ICE!"

Startled, the blond moved further down the ice, poured a Thermos of cappuccino, and began to chop yet another hole. Again, from the heavens, the voice bellowed,

""THERE IS NO TREASURE UNDER THE ICE!" The Blond, now quite worried, moved way down to the opposite end of the ice, set up her stool, and tried

again to chop her hole. The voice came once more. ""THERE IS NO TREASURE UNDER THE ICE!" She stopped, looked skyward, and said, "Is that you,

Lord?" The voice replied, "No, this is the Manager of the Ice Rink!"

Ziggy Zee or anyone else that still believes Aaron N. wrote all the past nasty posts---

It was already discussed yesterday that WHOEVER PIE (who wrote all the past nasty posts) changed all the names to Aaron. Then PIE came on as someone else

and told everyone to do a search on Aaron Niedorf and see what a terrible, evil man he is. We know it isn't the Aaron that found the medallion. I think this is trully

awful to try to get people to think this aaron person is such a terrible person. Talk about defaming someone. We're all jealous of him for finding the medallion. Of

course, we wish we were the ones who found it. But let it go. A.N. just happened to be at the right place in the park. that's all.

Noelle--I agree. Also, don't you think carnival committee is the one doing all these changing of names? He's the one that started the whole thing yesterday.

If anyone gets to read this, as far as I know the spot has not yet been determined because Conway doesn't have the proper facilities. I guess my vote though would

have to be for the "runner up" -- Newell.

This board feels the same as what it probably feels like at Conway about now...very lonely. Sifting through the ruins of what once used to be something very intense.

Just an FYI for all water coolers and Aaron a.k.a. Fooled Ya. During the hunt I had printed clues from the water cooler and guess what I have alot of printed

comments made by Aaron, (this is from the beginning to the end before he won the medallion). Also when Aaron changed his name to Fooled Ya he deleted alot of

comments he had made earlier where he was calling the person or people that write the clues scum bags and clowns that do not know how to write clues, and going

to the park and watching all the people digging and tearing up the place, laughing about it. Guess what we have all the printouts. Also even though you change your

name all this can be traced and archived (verified by the Pioneer Press) so Aaron don't think you are fooling anyone but yourself.

Re: The map - we get the city edition of the paper. I will try to remember to bring it to the rehash bash on Sunday so others can see it.

For a cleverly written 13th clue - check out Bulletin Board this morning! It will brighten your day! (Thanks Suds!)

Terry, where and when is the rehash bash gonna be this year, Conway has been totalled and has no picnic grounds.

Rush - We are working on that....maybe even will come up with a plan for Conway yet. Stay tuned here....we will post and re-post here as soon as we have it

worked out. There are people checking on several options. We will get this task done!

Carnival Committee:

I hope this can be the last said on this subject. Do you really think the REAL Aaron Niedorf typed those??? The name on those comments typed earlier were

originally from someone named "PIE" then he changed to Aaron Niedorf...then to "Fooled Ya" . Everytime he would change his name it changes it on past posts. Do

not believe everything you see on here. It is my belief that the REAL Aaron never posted here at all. It really gets tiresome explaining this to every person that I hear

say how "evil" the real Aaron is. I wish everyone would stop being so gullible all the time on the computer. The poor guy has enemies he doesn't even know about all

because of someones sick joke. I mean no offense to anyone with this comment. It is just my opinion.

acid tongue in all of them.

jennyjenny, This will be the last time I mention this. I received this information about Aaron from oh my, hunt-n-peck and rocketgirl, you are listed on those pages

also did you not read those posts. So please don't blame me for something I did not start. I was stating my opinion on his morals about human beings and life in

general.

We want to take a moment to thank the Pioneer Press, and in particular you Mom, for a real fun Hunt. All the people we saw and talked to were having a good

time, which is what it's all about! We have found a few(10) of these things and also have hidden a few(3) of these things, and we know that hunting for them is a lot

easier than hidding them and writing the clues. It's a lot more difficult writing the clues than meets the *"EYE"*. We got sidetracked by one of the clues and never

made to the "Sugar Lump" spot, but that's the breaks. You suck it up and head for the next Hunt!! Although, 10 G's would have made a nice pile of *"GREEN"*!!

By the way, in case you haven't heard, the Coyotes, because of injuries, are looking for a *"Right Wing"*!!

It has been fun for us, and now it is time for "ALL" of us medall"I"on hunt"E"rs to "GO" home!

And Mom, don't worry about the clues, nobody is perfect, unless it might be "The Professionals"

See you all next year and have a great 1999!! We're outa here!! and heading south. Go Coyotes!!

Adios Amigos

P.S. Someone told us before we got here, that Minnesota was cold?????

carnival: That WAS NOT the real Aaron Niedorf!!! Please read my other post as to who the imposter was. I can not believe the number of people that come on

here slamming him. Maybe I will change my name to "God" and come on!! That would make the gullible ones sit up and behave!

carnival committee--Hunt and peck Rocket girl?!? What do you mean? You know exactly what's going on so quit playing stupid. You're continuing to play a game

that A.N. is some jerk on the water cooler. We've explained the situation many times to you, but yet you keep saying you're stating your opinion. That's an opinion

based on facts that are wrong. And, you know that. jj
